If you’ve been a churchgoer for any length of time, you’ve heard the story of Mary and Martha. Martha’s frustration with her sister’s failure to help prepare their meal, instead sitting and listening to Jesus teach. Pastor Mark will recount this story from Luke chapter ten. He’ll share with us Jesus’ view of the situation as well as giving some insight as to why Jesus complimented Mary and chided Martha. We will learn how this applies to our motives for what we do in trying to further the cause of Christ, and how to be sure that our attitude towards our work is correct.
