It has been a debate that has been in the church for centuries. It has divided Protestants and Catholics for many years. What did Jesus mean when He said to Peter, “On this Rock I will build my church?” Was He speaking of Peter or his confession of Him as the Messiah? In today’s message, Pastor Mark shows from God’s Word that even Peter did not believe Jesus was referring to him. Jesus was going to build the foundation of His church upon Himself – the Cornerstone. And He was going to make all of us who believe “living stones” in the building of His Church!
