As a parent, you provide your children with a nice home, attend to their schooling, make sure they spend time wisely, keep them away from danger...but what are you doing for their heart? A godly example in the home is a powerful witness to a child's heart. Children look to their parents first to see how to live, and when they see you on your knees in prayer, or standing up for what's right...they'll remember. Forget about all the things you can buy for your kids, or activities you can sign them up for. All of those things are only temporary. When it comes time for them to leave your nest, it's what's in their heart that matters.
