Fighting with a spouse is not enjoyable, rarely fruitful and never satisfying. Most squabbles end in anger, then blow over when both parties have calmed down. Things may go back to normal...but do they really? Even the littlest arguments can often reveal deeper issues, but only if spouses are willing to address them. When there is no resolution, no forgiveness...hearts begin to change. It takes time, but like a newly formed clay vessel, as it sits...it hardens. With clay, there is a time when it can be made soft again, but when it's completely hardened, it's permanently changed. Don't let your heart be hardened, or there may be no going back.
