The saying goes that opposites attract...but aren't all spouses opposites? We all have our particular ways of doing things, our likes and dislikes, our routines and habits...not to mention the inherent differences between men and women. If we are complete in the Lord, He can endow us with the love required to serve our spouses. If we are complete in ourselves, we won't depend on Him to make us one...and will be separate. Instead of trying to change your spouse to accommodate your needs, allow the Lord to shape you and illuminate those areas that you need to grow as a partner. Only then can you truly be one with yourself, your spouse, and God.
