• There have been great indignities this week. These come with anecdotes. There has also been tremendous futility. This comes with statistics.

• We've identified at least one historical stratum between this week and the bottom of the barrel. It was the first week of November, 1997. 

• We re-hire Mike Gillis. 

• Aftonbladet only carves the week's sorrow into sharper relief, while some of the internet's most searchable hockey jokes assuage it. A bit.
