What does it mean to be centered? To be centered is to join with Jesus on his mission. It's not that the church has a mission, it is Jesus’ mission, and that mission has a church. God sent Jesus into the world and Jesus sends the church. To be sent means to move toward Jesus and not away from him. To be sent is to be centered.
