Focused (Not Scattered)

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”  (Matthew. 5:3).

  • Single-minded devotion:  One treasure, one focus for the eye, one Master to serve.
  • Simplicity in a world of complexity.  Millions of things demand our attention.  Want to be our treasure, want to catch our eye, want to be our Master.
  • Heart/Core:  Where is it focused?  Or are you diluted?
  • “Poor in spirit” are those entirely dependent on One beyond themselves.  Reliant upon God, trusting him, seeking him alone.
