Texas is the largest US state with a near-total abortion ban. Legislators and activists want to make 2023 the year of closing the loopholes that remain, whether that’s travel to nearby states or targeting abortion medication by mail. The state is also the home of Roe v Wade, the US Supreme Court decision that marks its 50th anniversary this week and once made abortion the law of the land. We hear from one former abortion provider about life in a post-Roe world.
