Fairfield West Baptist Church exists to worship authentically by giving our lives to our Savior Jesus Christ in celebration and service, we grow spiritually through intentional study of the Bible and the fellowship of believers, and we minister compassionately to our members, our community and our world for the purpose of proclaiming and demonstrating the Gospel of Christ.
It's not about living for Jesus, it's about Jesus living in you! The Way of Jesus is about establishing life rhythms that create time and space for Jesus to work in your life and ultimately through your life.
The gospel is what the church provides to the world. It is the only thing the church can provide that is truly unique and distinguishable from all other claims. Only the gospel can bring about a “new creation” into this present age of sin and death. Only the gospel can lift the veil covering man’s sin and cause the blind to see. Only the gospel can mend the lame and broken hearted enabling them to walk in newness of life. Only the gospel can forgive the past, give victory in the present and secure the future. Only the gospel. Therefore, we must know to whom we belong, know what we believe and know who we are to become. And it is this Gospel that doesn’t just inform us, the gospel transforms us.
