In the first part of Hebrews 13, the Apostle Paul addresses things we should love and things we should not. He encourages us to let brotherly love continue. Elder Chris explains that one of the greatest evidences that we are God’s elect is our love for the brethren. We should first love Christ, then support one another, entertain strangers, care for those in bonds, and love our spouses as Christ loved the church. Paul also cautions us not to love material things, but to be content with what we have, because that mindset can hinder our love for people. We should remember God’s love for us, which is a dedicated, committed, and purposeful love that can never cease.
