Matthew 28:1 & 2 Women carry spices to the tomb and an earthquake & angel rolled away the stone John 20:1 & 2 Mary Magdalene goes to tomb before dark, sees the stone moved and goes to tell Peter and John the body of Jesus is missing Matthew 28:3 – 10 An angel tells the women “Jesus is not here He is risen, go tell the disciples John 20:3 – 10 Peter and John run to the tomb, John gets there first and looks in, but Peter goes into the tomb John 20:11 – 18 Mary Magdalene is distraught not knowing where Jesus’ body is, two angels ask her why she is weeping, then Jesus appears to her Matthew 28:11 - 15 Guards make a report to the chief priest, he assembles the elders and pays the guards to report the disciples stole Jesus’ body Luke 24:13 – 35 While on the road to Emmaus two disciples have a conversation with Jesus, then suddenly realize it is Him
