Erica Gifford joined the Business Network International (BNI) Massachusetts team in October of 2015. She is currently the Event Coordinator and Chapter Director of BNI Mass. Before joining BNI Mass she owned a successful event planning company which she had been running for four years. She also volunteers with the BNI Foundation as their Volunteer Coordinator, helping change the lives of children and the education they receive across the globe.
Erica is an exemplary networker and she begins by telling Matt and Dan how she landed her current position with BNI Mass. Her story embodies why networking is so important and how it can lead to much success if it is done right. Her bubbly, friendly and giving demeanour may give her an edge in networking but she reiterates that no one is born a networker and shares tips on how everyone can become an effective networker.
Erica tells us the number one mistake people make when they are networking and shares with us tried, tested and well researched methods on how to make the best out of your next networking event. She also shares with us the one key thing you should always do after a networking event, and no it’s not just send a follow-up text or email!
Finally, Erica gives us her take on how to best network with millennials and why it is so important that you do this for your small business.
