Our Bad Friday gathering consists of a series of readings and songs, offering a glimpse into Christ's pain and suffering on the day of His crucifixion. Amidst the darkness, a single candle, known as the Christ candle, remains lit, symbolizing Jesus. A drum roll echoes, symbolizing the earthquake at His death and resurrection. At the end of the gathering, the Christ candle is removed, symbolizing the apparent triumph of evil over good.

On January 4, 2024 Soul Sanctuary turned 20 years old! Pastor Gerry Michalski reflects on the past, celebrates the present and dreams for the future as we mark this significant milestone.
It’s easy to talk about the very tangible resolutions, like eating better or hitting the gym. But what about the deeper things in our lives that may need a change? To kick off the first Sunday of 2024, Pastor Jordan challenges the Soul community with the question: “What are you building your life on this year?”
Concerts of Prayer involve the dynamics of a harmonious celebration—like a symphony—as we blend their hearts, minds and voices by faith. Rejoicing, repenting and making requests, they intercede in harmony with all GOD has promised for His Church and for His world.
Since the 5th Century Christians have observed Advent as a time of fasting with a focus on the second coming of Christ. By embracing traditions that are centuries old we are drawn into the rich history of the Christian faith and we are reminded of our place in God’s story of redemption. Each Sunday we light a candle placed around an evergreen wreath. We read the Scriptures and pray, drawing our focus to the hope, love, joy and peace that Christ brings.
