Ken Mansfield was the head of the U.S. branch of the Beatles' own Apple Records label. He happened to be in London on label business the week that the band staged the infamous rooftop concert as a way to end the Let It Be documentary. His association as a Beatles insider was about five years, beginning in 1966, and his stories are fascinating. The documentary was released on May 13th, 1970, so I gave Ken a buzz to talk about his time with The Beatles, and what it was like being on the roof that day (he's "The Man In The White Coat" in the photos).
