Justin Nelson Is back on Shooting The Breeze for the first time since his time in New Zealand shaping The Tauihi League.

In this episode he shares his personal journey home amid a health scare and ultimately returning to the WNBL as Chief Operations Officer doing the work he loves in "an opportunity that felt too good to refuse".

As always a major theme when speaking with Justin is the league's fans and we get into the more authentic connections needed to keep fans at the centre of the league.

Touching on the phenomenal growth of women’s basketball globally, particularly the WNBA, Justin gives us a glimpse of the next 45 years for the WNBL as a growing sports entertainment product with a proud 45 year history, but one that must evolve boldly to stay relevant, more visible, and sustainable in the years ahead.

The WNBL season tips off October 15th as inaugural team Tasmania Jewels play Geelong Venom.

Enjoy!
