Dinner-table questions1. What different soils were in the story Jesus told?
Jesus spoke about four different soils. 2. What happened to the seed sown in the different soils? What does this mean?
Some seed was snatched away, some grew but withered quickly, some grew but was choked, some grew and bore lots of fruit.

Family Activity: Four soilsLabel four areas in the room (or outside) with the four different soil types. Read out the following scenarios and tell the children to move to whichever soil they think it describes:

“Someone hears about Jesus but doesn’t care.”

“They’re excited at church but give up when friends tease them.”

“They love Jesus but only care about money.”

“They listen, obey, and grow in kindness and love.”
