The idea of "Hand-me-downs" is a solid, legitimate concept. You're giving something that can still be used - something that might still have life in it. Financially, a person might not be able to afford a variety of clothes. Maybe you don't want to contribute to damaging the environment when you hear that it takes over 700 gallons of water to grow the materials for one t-shirt. These are all great reasons... but there are other kinds of hand-me-downs. Emotional and behavioral hand-me-downs. But unlike a kid who's got no choice when his mom throws the neighbor's kid's old sweater him... you DO have a choice to put on those emotional and behavioral hand-me-downs. It's very possible they no longer fit or are way, WAY out of style. Listen in as Christina and John discuss the benefits and pitfalls of HAND-ME-DOWNS!
