"It's My Party and I'll Die If I Want To" As Barry celebrates a surprise 30th birthday party, Bloodwork returns to sabotage everything, and use Wally to infect the entire multiverse with his abilities. It looks like he will have the upper hand, until Barry dies and encounters Oliver Queen. Oliver is still the Spectre, and can only return to Earth when the multiverse is in crisis. This definitely counts. The Flash and Arrow will team up again to save everyone, but will they be in time. Barry and his new team go to rescue Mark, but it turns out to be a trap and Red Death takes away the rest of his speed. Now, the only way for them to stop her reign of terror is to talk to Grodd and change his mind. Luckily, they may get a little surprise help from Gotham to finally wrap up this fight. And it's all connected to the negative forces adjusting the timeline by taking care of some Thawnes. They kill the one locked up in ARGUS, and it seems that they've set their sights on Eobard, BF to Meena. Flash gathers the whole team to hold them off until he can stop them, but plans go drastically awry as the forces turn the tide by killing a beloved friend and bringing back a deadly enemy. Beware "The Man in the Yellow Tie" As Barry tries to help Dr. Meena Dhawan learn more about her speed, he discovers that the person that has been helping her is none other than Eobard Thawne! But this Thawned, with the original face, claims to know nothing about being an evil speedster. Barry isn't convinced, especially after talking to the Thawne at Lian Yu with Wells's face. And it turns out some of his concerns were warranted when Dhawan absorbs too much negative speed force, which corrupts her. Barry's pseudo-children are forced to take "Family Matters" into their own hands as Nora continues to threaten everyone. A giant lightning storm descends on Central City, causing all kinds of problems. The lightning storm takes out Cecile, which worries Joe. It also takes out Iron Heights, which lets loose a bunch of dangerous Metas, and Frost too. Team Flash is running out of time. Luckily, the three siblings work together to try and stop their angry sister. What will the future hold for all our heroes as this chapter of their lives comes to a close? Raising your children with love is a "Timeless" idea. Are the Strength, Sage, and Still Forces the children of Barry and Iris? After suffering with the guilt of getting Alexa killed, Barry decides the best solution is to go back in time and prevent the forces from being created at all. He enlists the help of Timeless Wells who can prevent the rest of the timeline damage. But Iris strongly disagrees with this idea. "Crisis on Infinite Earths" parts 1, 2, & 3 is the epic crossover we have been waiting for! A wave of antimatter sweeps across the multiverse destroying every DC universe we know. They'll have to gather seven heroes, or Paragons, that can save them all. Traveling to different Earths to find them, we see different versions of our favorite characters, some good, some bad. Despite their best efforts, and heroic sacrifices, it looks as if worlds will die and the fate of every living thing will hang in the balance...at least until January. Nora steps up and explains that she can connect to her again before it's too late. And while she convinces Gracie to be a good girl, the dark matter in her head has other plans. They realize they must destroy the dagger. This, of course, has been Thawne's plan all along. He does escape and the race to stop him has begun. Though, that is not the biggest problem. Now that they have destroyed the dagger and let Thawne free, the timeline has been changed, and it will have emotional, long lasting effects on everyone. Has Nora truly "Gone Rogue"? With friends like Weather Witch, Rag Doll, and the Bug-Eyed Bandit it looks like she may have chosen the negative path. "King Shark vs Gorilla Grodd" One night only! Now that Cisco and Caitlin have completed their work on the meta-cure, they need someone to test it on. Since they have agreed that the cure should only be given to a living volunteer, they have to find someone that would really want to be cured. That's when they remember their flippered-friend from Earth-2; King Shark, aka Shay Lamden. He's being held in an ARGUS facility and studied by Dr. Tanya Lamden. She, of course was married to the Earth-1 Shay before he died. The team's plan to ask King Shark was derailed when he went berserk. And when Barry successfully gave him the cure without permission, the tension in STAR Labs was thicker than chum. All of that had to wait, because Gorilla Grodd was controlling minds again. Luckily, the newly humanized Shay volunteered to be re-transformed into Killer Shark and stop Grodd. But he would never be human again. Keeping up the charade, they have to work for the big bad boss and find some way to still be heroes. Nora tries to get Sherloque off her trail by manipulating him into running into the Earth-1 version of his ex-wives. It works well too, after she convinces him he can have love too. Cicada has Flash "Seeing Red" this week! After he begins going on another killing spree, the gravelly-voiced villain breaks Nora's back, leaving her paralyzed and Flash more determined than ever to stop him. The team discovers that he's been using the police meta records to track them down. So they need to find a way to protect them before he catches up. Cecile arranges to put them in protective custody, but first the team has to convince them that it's a good idea. They don't trust heroes much, so they ask Norvock to help out. He's pretty bitter and only looks out for himself, but he's scared of Cicada, and they begin rounding up everyone on the list. Caitlin and Killer Frost are having some inner struggle about Cisco's meta cure research. Frosty's afraid that Caitlin my take it, so she tries to stop her at every opportunity. For now, all they have time to think about is healing Nora and getting the others to safety. But Flash's anger may put an end to Cicada in a very un-heroic way. Who deserves second chances from "The Flash and the Furious"? As Barry prepares to testify against Weather Witch, some new meta tech controlled by Silver Ghost causes Flash to phase uncontrollably. Nora is thrust into responsibility when called to take Barry's place. Her testimony is enough to convict Joss Jackam, but the bitterness that XS feels towards the villains may be a little too harsh, because young Joss just wants to take responsibility and start over. Unfortunately Silver Ghost frees the stormy villain with the intent of using her power to break into ARGUS. Now she really looks guilty and Nora returns her to custody without even considering the full story. Meanwhile, Cisco's hands are dagger-shard free, but he wants to use those shards to find a cure for being a meta. Killer Frost has other ideas. "Elseworlds Part 1" finds Oliver Queen waking up in Barry Allen's bed. And from there, it just gets stranger. Barry and Oliver have switched places and they are the only ones that realize it. When they try to get help from the team at STAR Labs, nobody believes them. They even lock them up in the pipeline. As our befuddled heroes try to grasp their new abilities, they escape and convince Iris to let them seek out help. That's where Supergirl comes in. She comes back with them from Earth-38 and brings her super cousin along with her. It's a good thing their friends are starting to believe them, because they'll have to stop a super strong robot before it destroys the city! Sometimes "What's Past is Prologue" if you have the ability to time travel. The team tries to find a way to stop Cicada from murdering Metahumans, but the only viable solution seems to be one proposed by Nora. Go to the past, collect items that they can use to neutralize the dark-matter-infused knife that Cicada uses for his powers. It takes a little convincing, but Barry even agrees to let Nora go along with him on this scavenger hunt through time. The first stop is the final battle with Savitar to get a shard from his suit. From there, they must get a transmitter used by Zoom, and finally they need it all affected by the original particle accelerator explosion. Sounds easier than it is, and of course things begin to go wrong. So much that they even have to use an Eobard Thawne from the past to help out. Eventually, they do find their way back, and when they confront the big bad, he proves to be a little trickier than they had hoped. And to top things off, Sherloque is discovering some secrets that Nora is keeping that will likely affect the team significantly in the near future. While she worries about that, the team discovers that Weather Wizard's daughter wants to kill her father, and she plans on using her piece of weather-controlling Meta Tech to do it. Plus, we witness the birth of the Cicada as he comes to terms with raising and loving his orphaned niece, only to lose her when she is struck down during the Enlightenment. Can the team stop the young weather Rogue and come to terms with family drama before the turkey gets cold? "Harry and the Harrisons" hope they can work as a team to help discover DeVoe's plan. Since the original Council of Wells kicked Harry out because of his dwindling intelligence, they will need to gather the Wells of different Earths. The result is...disappointing. At least to Harry. Meanwhile, Caitlin works on more solutions to reconnect to Killer Frost, and when Joe suggests looking at it from a different point of view, she thinks that teaming up with Amunet Black might do the trick. They tell our heroes it could work, but Caitlin really wants Amunet's gene splicer. However, she's not where they expect her, and her lackey Norvock has stolen much of her metal shards (and the splicer) to sell to the highest bidder. After finding Amunet, she reluctantly (ad suspiciously) agrees to help out, if they'll get her the metal shards. But this cheeky villain isn't the most honest one they've encountered and she quickly betrays them. Though she didn't kill anyone and she gave them a weapon that could potentially stop his satellites. The new Council of Wells helps Harry see with his heart instead of his head. It may be the key they're looking for, and Iris might just let the whole city know what DeVoe has been up to all year. Marlize DeVoe thinks, "Therefore She Is". Flashback to a time 8 years ago when Marlize met Clifford. It started as a playful little disagreement about the shortcomings of humanity and technology, but bloomed into true love. Speaking of true love, Gypsy comes to help the team double power the Thinker and puts a little pressure on Cisco to decide whether he wants Breacher's old job. It's a bit of a touchy topic it seems, so Barry tries to rush to bring them together so they can focus on stopping DeVoe. They've discovered his Enlightenment weapon will remove the intelligence of all the humans on the planet. And all this came from Clifford's past, when he and Marlize finally realized the same dark vision of the future of our race. The very single-minded husband will do just about anything to achieve his goal, and that could spell bad news for Gypsy. Watch "Fury Rogue" as Flash tries to move the radioactive meta, Fallout to a place that's safe from the Thinker. In order to keep Fallout from harming others, they will need to keep him cool. And who better to cool things down than Citizen Cold. Plus, it may keep Barry's mind off his failure to protect Ralph. They travel to Earth-X to enlist Leo Snart, but in doing so, let the Nazi villain Siren-X through the breach. She is determined to get revenge for her fallen comrades, even if she has to do it in on our Earth. When she learns about Neil Borman's radioactive power, she tries to get him before Devoe does. She succeeds too, much to the dismay of a very frustrated Devoe. Someone else that's frustrated is Marlize, who isn't getting much romantic attention from her husband these days. All he can think about is the Enlightenment. Barry's mind isn't focused either and it will take a little therapy from his friend Snart to convince him that he has to face his feelings. Don't "Lose Yourself" if you're one of the last bus metas that the Thinker is after. As Ralph and Barry track down the last of the bus metas, Ralph is ready to end it all by killing Devoe. Barry talks him down from this dark way of thinking and they find the elusive Edwin Gauss, who has the ability to open up pocket dimensions. Right on their tale is Devoe's Samuroid who even stabs Caitlin right through the shoulder. She manages to recover with Killer Frost's help and they protect Gauss in STAR Labs. Harry has a nice little Sonic Scepter that could give them the upper hand on Devoe. But Joe gives Harry a talking to about his obvious addiction to the Thinking Cap. And he may have even listened to him a little. Soon the team discovers that Gauss could take them to Devoe's lair, but when they arrive they soon discover that it's all a trap! And the battle that follows affects everyone. For a brief moment the team had the upper hand, but Devoe soon takes it away with disastrous consequences. Team Flash faces the week "Null and Annoyed". When Janet Petty (aka Null) begins using her anti gravity touch for high stake robberies, Barry and Ralph do their best to stop her in between training. But Ralph seems to be failing to take the situation seriously. Barry even benches him until he can stop making everything a joke. Breacher shows up and wants Cisky to help him get his powers back. They mysteriously disappeared while fighting vampires. Unfortunately, Cisco and Caitlin discover that it's really just his age that causing him problems, and Cisco doesn't want to be the one to let him know. Clifford and Marlize Devoe work on finding the remaining bus metas, but Marlize finds something else too. When she discovers that Clifford's been drugging her with the Weeper's tears, she is understandably upset. Back at STAR Labs, the team tracks down Null, and it looks like Ralph's improvisation and lack of focus may be just what they need to win this week's battle. When Barry's speed is transferred from The Flash to his wife the only thing to do is "Run Iris, Run"! Harry is so obsessed with stopping DeVoe that he decides to replicate the accident that gave him his intelligence in the first place, and make himself a thinking cap. Cisco is the only one that thinks this is a horrible idea. And that causes a bit of tension in STAR Labs. It is especially troublesome to Ralph who is really feeling nervous about DeVoe getting closer to checking off the Elongated Man on his death list. The team gets a lucky break when they discover another bus meta, named Matthew Kim. This one transfers powers from metas into others and when confronted, gives Iris the Flash's speed. Now she is the hero and learns what it's like to have that power and responsibility. In the process she discovers where she's truly needed. Once Flash gets his speed back, they explain the situation to Kim who agrees to use their protection and help stop DeVoe. When you "Enter Flashtime", you can do a lot in a short amount of time, but even you may not be able to stop a nuclear explosion. Flash and Jesse Quick rush to stop an eco-terrorist named Veronica Dale, but she ignites the bomb and Barry must keep running while he tries to find a way to stop it. Luckily Jesse keeps up with him. She even rushes off to get Jay Garrick on Earth 3 to see if he can help. Meanwhile, Barry unsuccessfully recruits Cisco; who can't breach it, Harry; whose idea could destroy the speed force, and Caitlin; who can't freeze it. Barry's literally running out of options. The whole event takes place in a very short time, but emotions are explored and limits are tested. Izzy Bowin is "Subject 9". Her meta abilities of powerful sound waves are only rivaled by her fiddle-playing. Once the team discovers the latest bus meta, they have to convince her that Clifford DeVoe; now in the form of Hazard, is a serious threat to her life. So they try to train her to focus her power to use against their foe. Meanwhile, DA Cecile Horton and Harry are beginning an interesting friendship because of a new complication with her mind-reading ability: She can't sleep because of Joe's noisy dreams. As frustrated as Harry is with his inability to outthink DeVoe, he is able to build her a mental blocker. It's big and bulky at first, but it leads him to the invention of the cerebral inhibitor, which was foretold by Savitar as a tool against DeVoe. But Izzy's had enough of Barry's intense training and tries to take out DeVoe on her own. The results are tragic, and after this failure, the team will have to regroup once again. In times of trouble, "True Colors" come shining through. Warden Wolf makes a deal to sell his collection of bus-metas to Amunet Black. This throws a temporary and metaphorical wrench in Devoe's mysterious plan, but he is more than confident that he will come up with a solution. Once Cecile reads Wolf's mind and discovers where Barry truly is, the team works with Ralph and his newly discovered power of shapeshifting into other's likeness, in order to save Barry before the final deal is made. But Barry is on top of it and manages to break out of Wolf's power-inhibiting cell with the others metas and escape in the sewers of the prison. The group consists of some pretty dastardly villains; except for maybe Becky. She decides to turn over a new, lucky leaf once they get out. But Wolf catches Barry just before they get away, leaving Becky to save him from the warden, Amunet, and the vindictive prisoners after they discover he's the Flash. Harry feels that vulnerability too since he's no closer to freeing Barry, figuring out Devoe's plan, or fixing Ralph and Cisco. Back in jail, Barry continues to be hopeful that he can help Big Sir, but hope can be a dangerous thing in prison. Especially if a sneaky warden is keeping an eye on you. As dawn break over Central City, "The Elongated Knight Rises" to take his place as the city's hero. Barry begins his lifelong stay at Iron Heights with virtually no prospect of leaving. Ralph may not be the hero Central City wants, but he's stepping up his game to be the hero the city needs. That is, until Trickster Jr breaks out of jail with the help of his mom, and former maniacal sidekick, Prank. The tricky lunatic discovers a way to hurt Ralph with a special mixture of acid. This puts a serious damper on Ralph's confidence, who until now thought he was indestructible. Back in jail, Barry is getting seriously intimidated by some very mean, very large thugs. But another large guy, or should I say 'Big Sir' has Barry's back because Henry Allen saved his life in prison. And now Barry can return the favor. Barry gives Ralph a little help too. So Mr. Stretchy runs off to stop Trickster and Prank, save his friends, don his new costume, and finally get his hero name. The "Crisis on Earth X" continues as the team finds themselves powerless and locked up in a prison camp on Earth X. What's worse is that it's run by Quentin Lance's evil doppelganger. Luckily, the Team get some help escaping with the help of Leo Snart and The Ray. They take them to the leader of the resistance, General Winn Schott. He may be Kara's best friend on her Earth, but he won't let our heroes try to infiltrate the breach gate to return home because he could lose his chance to destroy it. Back on Earth 1, Felicity and Iris try to free their friends and stop Thawne from cutting out Kara's heart. Luckily, they're able to summon the Legends to help. After Barry and the Ray stop Red Tornado they are free to return home, but Dr. Stein is fatally wounded in the process. Down one hero, the team faces the Nazis in a battle for the ages. But even winning is not enough to ensure their release, so they make a run for it before they're forced to open a breach and bring a gorilla invasion to Central City. There has been a "Rupture" in Central City. It's probably not something Barry and Cisco are going to be able to take care of with a drone-controlled hologram though. This Rupture is from Earth 2 and looks just like Dante Ramon, Cisco's brother. He's one of many expected Metahumans that Zoom has brought here to wreak havoc, because Zoom has now claimed control of Central City. Barry has to make a final decision whether or not to let Wells recreate the particle accelerator explosion. But even his dad Henry may not be able to guide him on this one. Last Tuesday night, we're sending "Flash Back" to the future! …a few hours after he travels into the past one year. He goes there to try to get any information he can about becoming fast enough to stop Zoom, and his plan is to get it from the past Eobard Thawne. Despite his best intentions, things go wrong from the beginning. And to make things worse, a Time Wraith has followed him because he's meddling with the past.
