MindTrip music, Founded by Pfirter 2006. Reinvented and relaunched in 2012 under the new name MindTrip.
MindTrip Music was the creation of Buenos Aires born Juan Pablo Pfirter in 2006. The digital-only label acted as a springboard for upcoming Argentinian artists and of course, Pfirter himself, introducing those talents to the rest of the world. Over the years, the fledgling label allowed Juan Pablo the ability to experiment and play with music, sounds and textures and develop his own sense of direction and focus. Collaborating and drawing influence and experience from fellow MindTrip Music artists like Jonas Kopp, Flug, Markus Suckut, Psyk and Monoloc, both the label and Pfirter grew in symbiotic proportion. But after 6 years and 48 releases, Pfirter felt the need for change.
Having released on CLR, Stockholm LTD, Stroboscopic Artefacts & Figure, Pfirter’s brand of hypnotic music has touched dancers and listeners the world over. Not only limited to the clubs, Pfirter’s productions have delved deep into the experimental side too. This is the focus and framework of the new label. Juan Pablo reinvented and relaunched the MindTrip imprint, showcasing the full degree of his sound. The label changed its name from MindTrip Music to just MindTrip, releasing vinyl as well as digital utilising a bespoke artwork profile. This is MindTrip music!

As we are heading towards the heart of this summer we are pleased to share a new episode of the MindTrip Podcast with you. Real name Jordy Roelands he started as a founding member of the Dutch Resistance concept in Antwerp (electro and techno) and later became one of the resident powers at Technoir (techno). The 55th edition of the MindTrip Podcast, comes from the west coast of USA and it's courtesy of Drumcell. Real name Moe Espinosa, he has was born in San Gabriel Valley, a culturally diverse neighborhood that still breeds inspiration for his work. San Gabriel Valley is also where he and the Raíz brothers, Vangelis and Vidal, met and founded Droid Behavior in the early 2000s which lead to the infamous Interface warehouse series and launch of the techno label Droid Recordings. He has a long history as a dj and producer of original and remixed tracks on his own label Droid as well as on CLR, Electric Deluxe, Dystopian, Torque, Detroit Underground, and much more.
In 2016, Drumcell debuted his ambient project HYPOXIA on his experimental label BL_K NOISE. Inspired by science fiction soundtracks and the sounds of artists like John Carpenter, Wendy Carlos, Goblin and Vangelis. Hypoxia was created to step away from the dance floor and into a broader space of contemplative drama. Drumcell explores and discovers the analogue world as much as the digital world of music production, to finally combine them into his very own raw, suspenseful and hypnotic style just like he perfectly expressed it on his debut mix for the MindTrip podcast here.

On the last episode of the MindTrip podcast for 2020 Pfirter invited one of Portugal’s leading artists of the current techno scene, João Rodrigues aka Temudo. He lives & breathes music since he was a kid when he started his education in sound. Having initially dived into the Drum ’n’ Bass fields as Medio, he continued being eager to learn and experiment, and that was when he began exploring the sound of Techno. Up to date he has released on labels like Soma, Modularz, Clergy, Mord, Synewave, Planet Rhythm and also Hayes, a collaborative platform run by himself together with Nørbak, VIL, -2 and Osse focused on showcasing the distinct output of its artists through vinyl and digital releases. Temudo created an exceptional 60 min mix including music from Vince Watson, Diego Amura, Divide, Troy, Kwartz and much more, as well as upcoming unreleased tracks by himself.

We kick off July with a new episode on the MindTrip podcast coming straight from UK by the DJ, producer and label owner Operator (aka Rich Jones). We are closing this year with the very last episode of the MindTrip podcast. For this special show Pfirter invites Token's label head Kr!z for an exclusive 100min mix. After 12 years of curating the discography on Token records, last April he finally used his platform to release his debut EP entitled Mantra that came out on vinyl and digital. His musical ethos is clearly stated from the track selection in this mix ranging from Jeff Mills, Jeroen Search, PAS to Dj Nobu, Mike Parker and more. The 39th edition of our MindTrip Podcast welcomes Spanish duo NX1. MindTrip Podcats episode 27 welcomes one of Serbia's finest Techno exports Filip Xavi. He is one of the authentic representatives of Belgrade's Techno scene the last decade. He's been a rebel against any genre/trend confinements since the day he got involved into techno music and he was mostly attracted by dark and abstract music structures. Dasha Rush remixed his debut vinyl EP on Sonntag Morgen in 2015 and his music has been published on various labels like Dynamic Reflection, Subsist, Decoder Recordings and his very own imprint Teskoba Recordings.
