Angine de Poitrine is a Canadian rock duo that came together in Saguenay, Quebec, back in 2019. The band’s members are known only by their stage names: Khn de Poitrine, who handles the guitar and bass, and Klek de Poitrine, who plays the drums. They are celebrated for their intricate, microtonal music that draws inspiration from math rock and experimental rock, all wrapped up in a rather quirky image. Think oversized papier-mâché masks and black-and-white polka-dotted outfits!

They came up with these disguises to keep people coming back for their shows at a local venue. After their first album, Vol. 1 (2024), they started getting a lot of attention at the Quebec festival scene and even won Artist of the Year at the 2025 GAMIQ awards. Then, in February 2026, they really took off when a live session they recorded for the US radio station KEXP went viral and got millions of views. That led to their second album, Vol. II (2026), and tours all over the world.
