How is more important than what is said

It means words are important when we are communicating but what is more important is non-verbal conversation done by us during the whole conversation. This non-verbal conversation includes many things but there are few things which are really essential.

It is very important to pay attention to body language while communicating as during your conversation the listener should get four elements in the conversation.

  1. Positive - By having a beautiful and appropriate SMILE when starting the conversation as a smile can make or break the conversation.
  2. Interested - With maintained EYE TO EYE CONTACT throughout the conversation the person can see your interest. If eye contact is not there it may look like you are distracted or uninterested.
  3. Energy - This can be seen with STRAIGHT POSTURES while the conversation is going on. We need to assure that we are sitting or standing straight when having a conversation as it reflects energy.
  4. Welcome - Having OPEN POSTURES is a reflection of welcoming behaviour from our side. Make sure we do not have crossed postures like crossed arms during our conversation as it can be a reflection of disagreement while conversation.

Having these 4 elements will assure you that we are having a good conversation and can result in successful conversations.
