Words are my passion. I've always been interested in grammar, spelling, and literature. Some of my fondest memories include participating in a spelling bee while in middle school, eagerly awaiting summer to dive into the local library's summer reading contests, visiting the book mobile, and receiving bookmarks as stocking stuffers at Christmas (I still have them!).

I've turned this passion into a career. How? By helping people tell their stories through books, blog posts, newsletters, and other content.

How can I help?

Writing and Ghostwriting—This includes writing blog posts, print or online articles, social media content, email sequences, brochures and other communications materials, and books. Don't want anyone to know you didn't write it? That's where a ghostwriter comes in. Maybe writing isn't your strong suit, or you just don't have time to write. I'll do it for you and let you take all the credit!

Book Coaching / Manuscript Evaluation—Want to write that book yourself but need some guidance? I can coach you through the writing process and be your accountability partner, or I can review your manuscript and let you know what's working, what's not, and recommend next steps.

Editing / Proofreading—I offer several types of editing as well as proofreading.

• Developmental editing is the most in-depth, and looks at the overall structure of the work to make sure all the pieces are in place. Your work is like a puzzle—all the pieces need to fit together in just the right places to make it one cohesive finished product. The plot, characters, setting, tone, point of view, and pace of the story are all pieces in the puzzle that need to be organized and structured in a way that ensures the reader can see the whole work as a complete product.
• Line & copy editing are closely related and are both necessary functions of the writing process. Line editing looks at each line of your work for awkward phrasing, voice, tense, and other grammatical issues. This helps ensure the text flows and the writing is crisp. Copy editing cleans up spelling, grammar, punctuation, and consistency issues throughout your work.
• Proofreading is similar to copy editing, but it occurs at the last stage of your project. While most errors in spelling, punctuation, and grammar will be caught during the editing stage, some errors sneak past even the keenest eye. In addition, final formatting can inadvertently introduce some errors. This is why everything needs to be proofread before it can truly be finished. It's the one last look before your work goes out the door.
