Smart business owners know that planning is key to higher profits. Many entrepreneurs have a vision for their business, but don't know how to create a long-term plan. Having a plan helps you assign tasks, create complementary products, and leave room for last minute offers.
In this podcast, I am breaking down what Scott (my husband) and I do, when we plan out the year ahead! My favorite month to do this, is November. Why? Because there are lots of things going on with the holidays in November and December, so rather than launching or selling, they are perfect months for “planning” for the year ahead.
If you would like help mapping out your upcoming year, you can schedule a time to connect here: https://hello.dubsado.com/public/appointment-scheduler/5ef28b8b15a6b84f6b4d2d9c/schedule

A question I get often from new entrepreneurs is what should I be doing each day in my business?
When you become your own boss and responsible for many (all) aspects of your business, it is very important to sit down and map out a CEO schedule. I approach this process, just as if you were getting ready to hire a team and outsource all the things you need to get done. You need to first know what needs to get done :-) Check out this episode to learn more!

“I hear it all the time (and I myself used to be a frequent offender)…the word “busy”. Ask someone how they are doing…. or if they are available to hang out or jump on a call… and the response is “I’m so BUSY”.
Let’s dig into this a little bit deeper. I’m not saying you do not have a lot on your plate, I get it… between all the commitments and responsibilities you have with family, business and life… it all adds up.

I often think of what my life would have been if I had not jumped off the hamster wheel.
Where I was 6 years ago, is like when Chris Farley says in the movie Tommy Boy, “Forget it, I quit, I can't do this anymore, man. My head's about to explode. My whole life sucks. I don't know where I'm going, what I'm doing. My dad just died, we just killed Bambi, I'm out here getting my ass kicked and every time I drive down the road I wanna jerk the wheel INTO A GODDAMNED BRIDGE EMBANKMENT.” Lol, as awful as it sounds, I was in a bad place. I was miserable, exhausted and incredibly unhappy with what I was doing and it was a struggle just to drive to work each day.

When it comes to running an online business…. or any business for that matter, it’s important to have a presence online. When you are a coach or professional who works one on one with clients, it becomes even more necessary. One fact that we cannot deny, is that video continues to be King (or Queen) when it comes to content.
Video allows you to show up authentically and as a person, it allows you to better showcase you as the expert and build the know, like and trust with your clients.
People need to know how you can help them. Shooting a video that allows you to share how you can help solve problems for your clients can go a long way.
I Know I Should Be Creating Videos, But What Should I Talk About? Video continues to be one of the most engaging forms of online content. Now more than ever coaches and consultants have the ability to create authentic content that helps build know, like and trust quicker with their audience.
What matters is the type of content you are creating. You want to make it easy for your ideal clients to hire you, so download the essential video checklist (everyone should create & have for their business) to build a library of awesome videos that will close more sales. You can find it here: https://www.thetimetogrow.com/10Videos

Are you living in cause or are you living in effect?
When you are living in "effect" you are living in victim mode. You are not accepting responsibility for your actions, and you view issues in your life as a result of other people, events and circumstances. You often blaim others for the way things are, or you use statements like "this always happens TO me" or "the universe is against me". Listen to this weeks episode to learn more!

A common misconception behind social media is that many new coaches think that if they just simply post a couple of pieces of content on social media, clients will come rushing to their door. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Often it takes time and many touch points (it used to be between 5-7 touch points, now it is more like 11-13) and interactions, for clients to become aware of what you do and feel like they know and trust you enough to work with you.
If you just dive into social media and start posting content with no plan behind it, no goals or strategy… do you honestly think you will grow a successful coaching business? Listen to this episode to learn what to do instead!
