This week we watched the first three episodes of Gourmet Girl Graffiti. Synopsis: The story follows Ryo, a middle school girl who lives by herself. She has a knack for cooking, and she makes friendships with everyone through her food. The cooking manga is "full of detailed cuisine art to whet the appetite." The "koufuku" in the title is wordplay on two Japanese homonyms — one which means "happiness" and another that means "appetite."

This week we watched the first three episodes of Dagashi Kashi. Synopsis: Kokonotsu Shikada is the heir to his father’s candy shop, but, despite his father’s wishes, he would rather be a manga author instead. One fateful day, a cute but strange girl, Hotaru Shidare, starts visiting the store day after day to convince Kokonotsu to take over his father’s business.

This week we watched the first three episodes of Ristorante Paradiso. Synopsis: Rome, Italy When she was a child, Nicoletta was taken in by her grandmother so that her mother could remarry. Now grown up, she leaves everything in the countryside behind to visit her mother and her mother's second husband, a ristorante owner. To her surprise, her stepfather did not know his wife had a daughter! Delicious food and dreamy gentlemen await at the ristorante, casetta dell'orso. For everyone who works there, a tender connection to the hearts of each visitor is spun, and the curtain raises on a story about these first-rate Italian gentlemen in spectacles.

This week we watched the first 3 episodes of School Babysitters
Synopsis: Ryuichi and Kotaro are brothers who lost their parents in an airplane crash. They're taken in by the chairman of Morinomiya Academy, who lost her son and daughter-in-law in the same crash, on one condition: Ryuichi has to babysit the kids at the daycare room in the school! This room was opened to help the school's teachers who had kids to take care of, but it suffers from a lack of staff until Ryuichi becomes the first member of the babysitter club formed to solve that problem.

This week we watched the first three episodes of Anti-Magic Academy: The 35th Test Platoon.
Synopsys: Set in a world where witches run havoc, the military decides to shift from using sword to utilizing guns to neutralize magical threats. As our final week celebrating KyoAni Month, we watched the first three episodes of Nichijou - My Ordinary Life.
Synopsis: From the creators of K-On! and Lucky Star comes a slice-of-life series packed with absurd antics and hilarious high school predicaments. Follow the adventures of three ordinary girls as they make life’s awkward moments a thousand times worse. Along with a colorful bunch of classmates, they learn their most important lessons the hard way. Like whether goats are an appropriate form of transportation, who would win in a wrestling match between the principal and a deer, and most notably, if the three-second rule applies to weenies that fly through mohawks. Meanwhile down the street, a pocket-sized professor makes life difficult for a robot who just wants to be normal. But normal is the last thing you can expect in a town where salmon falls from the sky. In fact, the only thing you can count on is your friends, but even they are totally weird.

This week we watched the first three episodes of Love, Chunibyo, & Other Delusions.
Synopsis: Yuta Togashi has a problem. This week, as part of our Americans in Anime month, we watched the first three episodes of Baccano!
Synopsys: which Narita translates as 'stupid commotion', is Italian for 'ruckus'. Synopsis: Her classmates at school called her Key, as in the "key" to a strange mystery. Key's "grandfather" was a kindly old scientist wanting to use his skill in robotics to create peace and love in the world. But when that kindly old scientist passed away, poor Key was left behind, lacking even the ability to smile. There still is hope, however—a message left behind for Key suggests a fantastic possibility. This week we reviewed the first three episodes of The Rising of the Shield Hero.
Synopsis: Iwatani Naofumi, a run-of-the-mill otaku, finds a book in the library that summons him to another world. This week we discuss the first three episodes of Shirobako Synopsys: In a school in northeastern Japan, five friends in the animation club, Aoi, Ema, Shizuka, Misa, and Midori swear to complete a new anime called "Shinbutsu Konkou SHICHIFUKUJIN" with some donuts. Since then, day after day, the five spend all of their time on anime production. The awe of going from rough sketches to animation, and the awkward acting in the after recording session... The final product was finished at the cultural fair six months later. After they graduated they still pursued animation and swore on some donuts that they would make another anime together.

This week we discussed the first three episodes of Dragon Pilot.
Synopsis: Hisone Amakasu is a rookie in the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, located at the Gifu Air Base. While there, a concealed dragon, Masotan, chooses her to be his pilot, which leads her to discover that being a dragon pilot is her destiny, and she undergoes fighter pilot training for an upcoming mission for Hisone and the other dragon pilots. The pilots eventually go on the mission, under the watchful eye of the command center.

This week we discussed the first three episodes of Anglomois: Record of Mongol Invasion.

Synopsys: Kashiwagi Sora is living a normal high school student life, when his "adventurer" father sends him a mummy from his travels in Egypt!
