This story takes the reader back to 11th Century England after the Norman invasion as the sequel to “Owerd the Briton”. Owerd, a lowly rural knight, is trying to find his way. Can he do what he believes to be right amidst ongoing oppression and under the watchful eyes of a potentially merciless king? Enemies build round him even as he gains the king’s favour and he is given a task well beyond his expectation or experience. Both he and his lady love (or is that “loves”?) live under constant threat.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
The original story ("Owerd the Briton") became over-long and required an ending that afterwards seemed rather abrupt. The story of Owerd and his struggles demanded a sequel – this is it, although the tale may yet continue as the writing is possibly as enjoyable as I hope is the reading.

How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
The hero and his ladies are figments of the author's imagination based upon what young men and women may have thought and experienced back in 11th Century England. They are surrounded as far as possible by real people who then existed and lived within actual events of the time. Necessarily, some of those 'real' people are given characters with either good or evil natures to suit the demands of fiction.
