What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I have always been fascinated by thrillers, be it books or movies. Since I started writing, I always wanted to write something that can take people's imagination to another level. During the tough times of COVID-19 pandemic, I gathered my spirit and wrote this book.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I was watching a series and the name Fiona came up. It got stuck in my mind and hence I used it for my protagonist. Rest all the names came up as I started writing, keeping their traits in mind.

CHAPTER 1: THE HOSPITAL-1, 2020
I was breathing intemperately, and it felt as if I am about to fall in hell and have to run as fast as possible, try as hard as possible. Suddenly I felt someone’s hand on my head; I screamed, “Jason!” and when I opened my eyes, there was that woman sitting in front of me, aged, curly brown hair patting my head slowly as if I was a child, a child that she never had. I asked her, “Who are you, lady? Wh…re, where is Jason? Where on Earth am I?” The woman uttered, “I am a nurse, and my name is Mary. Mary Haynes. You are in the City hospital and your husband, Jason, is in the other ward”
Mary was somewhat familiar to me, I have seen her somewhere, and so I asked her if she knew me from somewhere outside the hospital, and she denied. I asked her about what has happened to Jason and me; she told me that I fell from the terrace and the neighbours heard me scream, also she told me that Jason stabbed himself with the kitchen knife. My world came to a halt, my head was about to burst from the pain and the urge to see Jason, things started coming to me, Jason being stabbed by her and she pushing me from the terrace to get me killed and there, I can see a small boy hiding in the corner with fear in his eyes. But, who was he? And where is that bitch? Oh, she is somewhere around here, she is always here, wherever I go she walks with me, sleeps with me, and she will die with me.
“There is someone in my home, and she wants me dead. She stabbed my husband, and also pushed me”, I said to Mary with a voice filled in fear. “Fiona, your husband is fine and so are you, there was no one in the house but you both”, Mary told me, and then she left to bring me some food and my medicines.
I started memorizing the incidents, but it was tough to get anything out of my mind. My throat was sore. When I turned left to get me a glass of water, I saw him again. That boy, in my house, skin pale with big eyes, covering a part of his stomach with his hand, he was sitting there with the same fear in his eyes with his fists clenched, in awe or anger, “Who are you, son?” I asked him softly but suddenly the door opened and Mary came in with my food and medicines, the moment I looked back at the corner, he was gone. Mary fed me and took care of me. I asked her about Jason and then about the doctors. From the moment I opened my eyes till now, there was only Mary who was taking care of me, and no doctor came to examine my situation, “You are out of any danger now, and the doctors will come on the time of your discharge”, said Mary.
“Don’t do this to me, please”, I cried, begging her to leave Jason and me alone, to leave my house alone and to let me live. But she didn’t hear a word and stabbed me in my chest, blood in spades was gushing out of my body, and she started laughing, so did Jason. And the both of them kissed, caressed each other in front of me, watching me die they celebrated their victory.
Anguish filled me, I could barely breathe. The demon of deception was eating me up and I couldn’t do anything, just agonized through the suffering. My husband, the love of my life was in someone else’s arms, seeking pleasure in someone else’s vicinity, wanting someone else’s heed, fondling someone else’s cheeks, looking into someone else’s beauty, smiling for someone else’s happiness, breathing through someone’s else’s mouth and laughing watching me die for someone else’s delight.
Then I heard Mary, calling my name, “Fiona, get up there’s nothing to worry about and nothing to cry for”, there I was on the hospital bed again whining in my sleep, crying in my dreams.
Mary asked me about what is wrong, and I asked her if she has time as I have a story to tell—the story of me, the story of Fiona, the all of it.
