After successfully driving Russian forces from the capital Kyiv, a fierce struggle is underway to force them out of Ukraine's second largest city, Kharkiv.

Whilst Kharkiv has burned and crumbled under Russian bombardment for the past two months, life has continued underground, with people unable or unwilling to flee finding an existence in the city's underground rail network.
