China is facing its most challenging surge in COVID cases since the outbreak was first discovered in Wuhan more than two years ago.

But instead of joining the global movement towards living with the virus Beijing is holding firm with a 'zero-tolerance' approach. The latest virus hotspot is in the financial capital of Shanghai where a strict lockdown has been imposed on more than 26 million people, and they're not happy about it.
