Good morning and happy Monday! Today we are joined by Jess, a fellow committee member at BoW and baking enthusiast. Jess shares her university journey so far, and how her goals and aspirations have changed since setting foot on university grounds (or zoom rooms). It was the confusion she encountered that prompted her to explore the many facets of the financial and professional services industry, and she emphasizes the importance of having a supportive community through the ups and downs.

As much as she enjoyed auditing at the Big 4, Jess was drawn to a career in finance because of its forward-looking nature. She shares her approach to finding a career path that suited her strengths and interest, from taking advantage of university opportunities to reaching out to industry mentors.

Finally, a busy schedule inevitably comes with the challenge of juggling commitments, and Jess offers insight into how she tries to maintain a healthy balance between work and university. She stresses that finding passion in the work you do is crucial to staying motivated and avoiding burnout during stressful periods.
