Women of Responsibility welcomes Girlfriend Co-Host, Cherie Klavitter. Cherie is blessed to be wife to her husband Clay and mother to their 14 children, who range in age from 5 to 30 and to currently call beautiful Oceanside CA her home. As a child, Cherie planned to follow her father's footsteps into law enforcement, which she did. During her career as a Highway Patrol officer, Cherie and her husband began working in the ministry of foster care as well - a desire stemming from Cherie's years in the foster system as a child. As the Klavitter family grew and grew through the foster and adoptive process, it became clear Cherie would need to be the stay home mother her babies needed. The Lord was preparing the Klavitter family for the five more children yet to be added and their myriad of special needs that would require constant parenting,  patience and supervision.  With now three grown children and eleven still home, the Klavitters are eager to see where God leads them next. Cherie says life in the Klavitter home is rarely quiet, often chaotic but always centered in Christ. Today Cherie will be reading 1Peter 1 from the King James Version.
