The menace of the Assyrian threat comes to a conclusion and a new threat is introduced in the transitional chapters 36-39.  Through the conversations between king Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah, the history depicts a spiritual lesson regarding faith and folly.  This concludes the portion of the book that addresses events that took place during the prophet's lifetime.
