I've harmonized this in 4ths. Then the chords begin with a little riff that leads to the minor IV chord/5 to the minor I chord, then to the Dom 7.
There's an ad libitum part floating around in the middle that leads to an A to D7/A section.
Then to the top, then out, possibly over the following figure: A-(9)/A - FMaj9/A

Mad as hell blues. To be played when your fair weather friends do you the favor of revealing who they really are, so you can be well away from them.
Very slow throughout. Think "Late for the Sky" by Jackson Browne. So much space in the guitar part that there's room for something else; perhaps some kind of pulsing string figure that drives the piece forward.
