Blogging changed my life. What began as a hobby during my sophomore year of college has grown into a business that supports not just me but also a small team.

Along the way, I’ve learned a ton about design, programming, and how to communicate effectively (to name just a few). I’ve also gotten to attend conferences, meet cool people, and can even work from home.

The point is, starting a blog can open up lots of opportunities and teach you many valuable skills, and I’d encourage you to give it a shot if you’re curious.

If you want to start a blog but aren’t sure how, you’ve come to the right place. In this guide, I’m going to share everything I and the team at College Info Geek have learned about creating, growing, and monetizing a successful blog.

If you’re like the average person, you probably have several “unofficial” spots for the various files, papers, and documents that make their way into your life. Remember when your parents used to tell you that playing video games would "rot your brain?"

Well, they were wrong about that. However, if your particular set of parental units used the term "warp your brain" instead, they'd have been on the right track.

In the last few decades, brain scientists have learned a lot about something called neuroplasticity. Essentially, the brain changes its physical configuration in response to the tasks you give it and the stimuli you expose it to.

This can include something as simple as using a clock to something as complex as playing a video game. It can also include using the internet.

Tucked within the training programs of many athletic disciplines is a particularly challenging type of workout called the AMRAP workout.

Standing for “as many reps as possible”, AMRAP workouts challenge athletes to try to perform a movement - such as pull-ups or push-ups - as many times as they can within a set amount of time.

These types of workouts are intense, and they can be a great way to track the progress of your fitness over time. In fact, the climbing gym I go to actually uses the AMRAP format to test our fitness in their general exercise classes.

But, aside from its benefits in the gym, the idea behind the AMRAP workout can actually help you become more productive as well.

Water is a necessary ingredient for human survival - as well as for optimal physical and mental performance.

If you're reading this, that means you're alive (unless I'm wrong about zombies), so you're at least getting the bare minimum. But are you drinking enough?

For years, we've been told that we're all dehydrated, and that if we want our bodies to work properly, we need to drink our 8 glasses a day.

Some have even gone further, stating that 8 glasses isn't enough, that you should be drinking three or four litersa day. Others say you have to time it right and spread out your water drinking over each hour of the day.

So who's right?
