So, what does it mean to be in the presence of God now that Jesus has ascended and the ark of the covenant has long since vanished from the earth? It is time to rediscover what James meant when he wrote, “Draw near to God.”
Jesus was so real and so precious to John the beloved that being in His presence was more important to him than life itself.
“Seeing” Jesus Christ is the most important “seeing” you will ever do – not with the eyes of your head, but the eyes of your heart.
Pursuing the presence of God and His holiness, welcoming an outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and being about Kingdom revival.
The presence of God ought to be the pursuit of every believer. Leonard Rayhill said, “You can have all your doctrines right and still not have the presence of God.”
When God calls us in to one thing, He is most always calling us out of something else. One certain way to miss His presence is to cling to the wrong things.
All that we are and all that we have and all that we hope to be can be summed up in this: to God be the glory!
To be in the presence of God is to be near Him. The Hebrew word for presence actually means “to be face-to- face” with God. At Peniel Jacob said, “I have seen God face-to- face and yet my life has been delivered.”
