"Pride is the posture of the devil." As we continue our series on Luke 14, we work through Jesus's parable about the consequences of pride and the recognition of humility. Pride is a perilous condition and a barrier to grace, as Scripture repeatedly tells us: "God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble."
What happened when the Pharisees invited Jesus to lunch? How does He turn this meal into a lesson about compassion & self-righteousness? Luke 14 confronts us with the peril of clinging to extra-biblical commandments, as we're asked whether we see our own bondage to trusting in everything we have (or haven't) done.

We can't create a system that is different from Christ. we need to look only at Christ to see the character of God. It's not just Jesus Christ is like God, Christ is God. Faith Along in Christ Alone.
We can be confident in the finish work in Jesus Christ. He is the head, He is the beginning, the first born and first place in everything. False Teachers where trying to separate the supremacy and sufficiency of Jesus Christ. It's important to remember all things come from Him and He needs to be our focus and first in our lives.
We can not forget the power of Christ. Your foundation is unmovable because the focus is on Jesus Christ. Do you know Him- Anyone in Christ is new creation ,we can't gain more than what Christ has already provided. You don't need and can't get anymore. Christ is above all things and we must remember who saved us.
