(3:17) The Bruins seem to be in on a potential trade with a western conference team. How realistic is it? Would it help?

(11:26) Trent Frederic's hit on Kirill Kaprizov led to a lot of ... wild ... takes from Minnesota fans, and the latest annoying debate.

(26:38) Tuukka Rask is back and Jeremy Swayman is back in the minors. Ty said this would happen all along. He explains why Swayman didn't keep his spot in Boston.

(43:30) The guys' love/hate relationship with Twitter continues. Ty had an optimistic tweet and people got mad. Matt is asked to have a serious discussion with a guy who calls himself "Dr. Booty Licker."

Matt and Ty are back with the first new episode of 2022. This is gonna be their year, they can feel it. And they're feeling goofy to start, talking about Spider-Man, Jurassic Park, chiropractors, and crap weather before getting into the return of hockey and their "Big 3" stadium foods.

The rundown...

(9:50) Matt finally saw Spider-Man: No Way Home, so the guys have a spoiler-heavy discussion about the movie.

(16:44) The Bruins are on a little hot streak since returning. Ty explains what he thinks is behind their recent surge and whether it's sustainable.

(24:15) There was an actual hockey game to talk about, between the Bruins and Devils. Some wild stuff happened. Oskar Steen is lucky and good.

(39:04) Matt & Ty pick their "Big 3" stadium foods, snake draft-style. Serious stuff.

We're in strange times right now, with COVID-19 sweeping the sports world and pausing the hockey season. So, this being a sports podcast, Matt & Ty had to improvise a bit this week.

The rundown...

(00:00) The guys recap what it's been like to cover sports over the last couple of weeks, with no hockey and COVID dominating the news.

(10:15) COVID talk segues into some general NFL discussion, including the frontrunning Bills and their peacocking after beating the Patriots in a regular season game.

(25:58) The guys veer into Happy Gilmore talk in light of a recent tweet from Ty, and they also end up talking about the upcoming new Jackass movie.

(33:40)* Coming out of the break are some Patriots thoughts in the wake of the team's two-game losing streak. Why the expectations haven't changed, and never changed.

(46:49) Thoughts on the passing of John Madden, and the Twitter people who tried to ruin the day. Matt rants about the toxicity of "Celebrity Death Twitter."

(55:30) To close, in honor of Madden, Matt & Ty pick their "Big 3" sports video games. Ironically, most picks are NOT Madden games.

The rundown...

(0:00) The Bruins have real COVID problems, and the virus is popping off around the league.

(40:05) With no Patriots game, the guys got to take a Sunday off to just watch some football. Unfortunately, the football was mostly bad.

All of a sudden, the Boston Bruins are dealing with all kinds of issues at once. Not to mention, they look like they're going to have to battle for one of the two wild card spots in the Eastern Conference. Matt and Ty cover it all in the newest episode of the Sports Hub Underground.

Here's the rundown...

-- The Bruins are reeling after losing to Detroit without Brad Marchand, and need to survive the next two games. They look like a wild card team, but could they still go on a surprise run?

-- Marchand had an eventful few days, starting with a hilarious moment with Artemi Panarin and his slew-footing of Oliver Ekman-Larsson. The reactions by the league didn't make much sense to the guys.

-- Jake DeBrusk requested a trade, but this was set in motion behind the scenes much sooner than when the trade request went public. Will a change of scenery help?

-- The "Big 3" name-calls we can use on each other. Warning: the language gets a little salty, but still fun.

Matt and Ty are releasing this week's episode a little early, in case people wanted to listen before Thanksgiving. Speaking of that, there's almost no Thanksgiving talk in this episode, save for a few thoughts at the beginning. We're talking hockey, football, and Black Friday.

Here's the rundown...

(6:32) Matt gives a spoiler-free review of Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

(12:05) The Bruins are struggling offensively, and the guys examine what's wrong right now as well as the bigger-picture concerns.

(30:37) Ex-Bruins goalie Daniel Vladar shut his former team out with the Flames, which led to all sorts of wild takes. Naturally, Matt & Ty push back.

(44:22) A radio host said the Patriots won't win because they lack "weapons." The guys get into why this take stinks.

(59:11) Matt & Ty reveal their "Big 3" items that would cause them to actually go shopping on Black Friday.

Matt and Ty are back with an all-new episode. This one covers both the Bruins and Patriots, among other things, with a consistent theme: the sports themselves are still fun, but the discourse surrounding it keeps getting worse, especially on social media.

Here's the rundown...

(1:33) The Bruins actually played a hockey game last Sunday. Matt & Ty recap Boston's win over the Canadiens and Matt's "fan experience" in the club seats.

(20:25) Matt believes Patriots quarterback Mac Jones is the next Tuukka Rask ... how, you ask? Allow him to explain.

(40:49) Bruins defenseman Jakub Zboril remarked that he had to delete all his social media apps because of the overwhelmingly negative comments he'd receive. Matt & Ty once again plead for people to not be a-holes to each other on the internet.

(51:38) Matt & Ty name their "Big 3" worst arena names in sports. Man oh man, are these names awful.

Will people be able to handle that? (23:30) Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers are next up for the Bruins. We have a quick preview. (30:58) Time for "Random Movie Fun Facts" (working title). The guys have some fun facts about the first Ghostbusters. (40:52) Matt has a problem with the pearl-clutching over Aaron Rodgers and our inability to mind our own business. (55:39) The inaugural "Big 3" has Matt and Ty picking their three favorite pro athletes that were must-see TV.

Matt and Ty start off by going over their Halloween weekends and all the scary movies they watched, before segueing to the latest with the Boston Bruins and their continually weird schedule. To close, they have some thoughts about the Blackhawks sexual assault scandal and Gary Bettman's handling of the matters.

The rundown:

-- There were some surprising positives to take away from the Bruins' 3-0 shutout loss to the Hurricanes, and certainly from their shootout win over the Panthers. (22:43)

-- The Bruins have games coming up against the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs, so Ty helps Matt catch up on those teams and what to watch for. (31:47)

-- Matt and Ty discuss the fallout from the Blackhawks' sexual assault scandal, and Gary Bettman's reaction. Matt is at a loss for how Bettman continues to freely preside over so many problems within his own league. (43:00)

Matt and Ty are back with a whole new podcast, rebranded as the Sports Hub Underground. The guys explain the meaning behind the change, before launching into a season preview for the 2021-22 Boston Bruins. Among the topics...

-- The Bruins may have their best forward depth in years with additions like Erik Haula, Nick Foligno, and Tomas Nosek. And how will the second line look now with Charlie Coyle at center and Taylor Hall driving the action? Most importantly, is it enough depth around them to legitimately contend for the Stanley Cup? (4:11)

-- Charlie McAvoy is about to get paid big-time. Is this also the year he takes a big jump with his offensive numbers? The guys also take a closer look at how newcomer Derek Forbort will fit into the lineup, and why Brandon Carlo and Mike Reilly will likely stick together all season. (24:13)

-- In goal, the Bruins aren't paying as high a price as people believe, compared to the rest of the league. Ty explains why he thinks Tuukka Rask will re-sign, and the guys go over the possible scenarios for when he returns. (37:20)

-- Finally, Matt & Ty get into some big-picture NHL topics. They have some thoughts on the new national broadcasts on ESPN and TNT, and their picks to win the Stanley Cup in 2022. Hint: They both picked the same team, and it's not the Bruins. (46:33)

Well, that sucked. The Bruins' season is over after losing 6-2 to the New York Islanders in Game 6, and Matt and Ty are here to break it all down in their final Bruins postgame podcast of 2020-21.

Among the topics discussed: a near-total no-show for the Bruins, outside of a pair of goals by Brad Marchand; Boston's continued lack of size and depth on defense killing them in the end; a lack of finish and reliability in the forward group; Tuukka Rask's bad performance and whether it's the final game of his career; and the kinds of changes that the Bruins need to make on the roster in what will be a huge offseason.

The officials went way against the Bruins on Monday night. But it was far from Boston's only problem.

Among the topics covered in this Bruins postgame podcast: defensive breakdowns and soft goals by the Bruins' defense and goaltending; the Islanders' knack for gaining momentum and getting timely saves; problems among the Bruins' bottom-9 forward groups; the officiating and Bruce Cassidy's incendiary comments about it; and what needs to happen for the Bruins to avoid elimination and/or come back to win the series.

The Bruins and Islanders are tied 2-2 in their best-of-seven Stanley Cup Playoff series. What does Boston need to do to get back control of the series in Game 5?

If you ask Matt and Ty, it's a shakeup on the bottom-six forward lines. And even then, they still desperately need Brandon Carlo back on defense. But will we see either of those things in the next game?

Among the topics discussed in this postgame podcast for the Bruins' Game 4 loss: the Bruins' defensive problems without Carlo; struggles on the third and fourth forward lines; David Pastrnak's egregious missed scoring chance; the David Krejci slash to the nether-regions of Mathew Barzal, and Bruce Cassidy's comment on the officiating; and who should go into the lineup for Game 5 and who should come out.

The Bruins needed to rely on their star players to pull out the victory in overtime. And that's exactly what happened.

Among the topics covered: a dominant night in goal for both Tuukka Rask and Semyon Varlamov, which came down to who made the big save in OT and who did not; Brad Marchand's clutch goal that made up for another bad penalty earlier in the game; the return of Craig Smith and the difference he made on the second line; improved play from the Bruins defense, particularly Mike Reilly and Jeremy Lauzon; and the latest on Brandon Carlo's injury that knocked him out of the game.

The Bruins had some bad luck with bounces in their Game 2 loss to the Islanders. But there's also a lot from their game that they can clean up themselves heading into Game 3.

That's the overarching theme of this Bruins postgame podcast. Among the topics discussed after Boston's loss to the Isles: the Bruins' poor second period; Jeremy Lauzon's bad night and overtime turnover; the up-and-down play of each of the four forward lines; depth and talent issues facing the Bruins on the defense; and the play of Tuukka Rask.

Matt and Ty are covering each and every Bruins playoff game with a postgame podcast, win or lose.

Matt Dolloff and Ty Anderson are here to discuss it all in a special Bruins postgame edition of the SideLines podcast.

Among the topics covered: the energy and atmosphere in and around TD Garden as the Bruins played in front of a full crowd for the first time since early 2020; the top line's sheer dominance, and whether the Islanders have an answer for it; the play of both goaltenders, Tuukka Rask and Ilya Sorokin; the injury to Craig Smith and the Bruins' options at forward; and what to expect in Game 2 and for the rest of the series.

Big trades are the theme on this week's episode of SideLines with Matt Dolloff and Ty Anderson. First the guys recap another weird week in the age of COVID and the Jose Canseco-Barstool fiasco, before getting into big-picture Bruins stuff. Are they doing the right thing to move David Pastrnak down to the second line and Jake DeBrusk up to the first? (15:57) Don Sweeney may need to make a major trade - we're talking superstar - if he truly wants to bring home one more Stanley Cup with his current core, because what they have now may not be enough. (28:56) Speaking of superstar trades, what's up with the Celtics? Suddenly, amid reports that they're "up to something," Danny Ainge is speaking out about the team's talent issues and Mike Gorman is willing to trade anyone. They may realize that a serious move is necessary if they want to win a championship now. (55:23)

Tom Brady and Bill Belichick needed each other to win as much as they did together. But now that Brady's won a seventh ring with Tampa Bay, the debate is starting to get silly.

The whole Brady-Belichick debate is the central topic of this week's episode, but first Matt and Ty banter about sandwiches, weird vacation spots, and bad smells that they actually enjoy. Then they dive into the Super Bowl and how it felt to watch Brady and Rob Gronkowski light it up and win for another team, as well as where things stand now with the Patriots in the "competition" (13:39). Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs have been anointed the next GOAT and the next dynasty far too early (18:32).

We go through some of the craziest takes we've heard as the Brady-Belichick debate spirals out of control (39:20). Belichick desperately needs to find another good quarterback so he can prove the Patriots weren't all about Brady, but the Patriots also have plenty of other moves to make on the roster (47:39). They close out the show with some Bruins talk and a very positive outlook on the team's youth movement so far this season (1:16:53).

The Bruins and their newer, younger players have played well lately after a sluggish start, but the real test has yet to come.

Matt Dolloff and Ty Anderson go all hockey on this week's SideLines, taking a deep dive into the Bruins since the last time they spoke. (18:30) There are some things they like out of young defensemen Jeremy Lauzon and Jakub Zboril, but there are other things they'd like to see improve. (21:22) Ty takes a victory lap on Nick Ritchie as he continues to play well. (31:53) Trent Frederic has been a pleasant surprise so far, but what is his true long-term potential? Could TD Garden possibly let some fans back in this year? Can anyone bring up the idea without a backlash?

The question is high on the minds of Matt Dolloff and Ty Anderson, who are in disbelief of the idea that the Patriots could start next season in an empty Gillette Stadium or that the Bruins and Celtics may not let fans into the Garden until after the summer. So many other arenas have figured out how to safely shuffle fans in and out, so why can't New England? Not to mention all the other businesses that are restricted or closed. Most importantly: is there room for a nuanced discussion about this at all?

But beyond the COVID crisis, Matt and Ty have plenty of hockey to talk about. So they spend over an hour discussing the Bruins and the National Hockey League. The temporary realignment of the division should keep some of its features for next season. Why haven't Jake DeBrusk or Anders Bjork taken steps forward? Are either of them going to be an answer for the Bruins' top-6? Because they need to be. Ty believes the Bruins could be planning to sign a big-time free agent ... in 2022. The guys also get into the Flyers and the challenge they present for the Bruins in their division, as the teams get ready to face off on Thursday. Jakub Voracek launched an epic burn at a reporter that he doesn't seem to like very much.

It sounds like they're about to wrap up, but Matt and Ty take one last detour into the NFL. Matt is finally rooting for Tom Brady and the Buccaneers to win the Super Bowl, but he wasn't necessarily rooting against them. Ty is hoping the Patriots really do load up for the 2021 season, considering the cap space that they're projected to have.

That's the big question on the mind of Matt Dolloff and Ty Anderson, as they get down to brass tacks on the upcoming NHL season and what to expect in Boston. Is the Lamar Jackson poop saga the most iconic sports story of 2020?

Matt Dolloff couldn't help but ask Ty Anderson, who wrote a column on Jackson's unfortunate bowel troubles, if he had any poop stories of his own. Things go a little off the rails, and it's not exactly for the squeamish.

But eventually the guys segue into discussions on the worst qualities in sports team owners, COVID shutdowns in Massachusetts, and the emerging name/logo controversies in the NHL. But they do talk about actual sports, including the latest with the Bruins and free-agent winger Mike Hoffman.

There's still a path ... for the NHL to have a season.

Hockey is coming, but some things still need to be sorted out. Matt and Ty discuss the latest reports on when the 2020-21 NHL season will start, and what could hold it back. What is the role of Bruins owner Jeremy Jacobs in all this?

Plus: the guys ramble on Christmas shopping, mall Santas, weird wrestling gimmicks, and sideline reporters.

Is the Joe Thornton trade still the worst deal by any Boston pro sports team in the 21st century?

Although the Bruins' rebuild was successful and they won a Stanley Cup after trading Thornton, while the San Jose Sharks did not, that doesn't mean they won the trade. Matt and Ty take a deep dive on the Thornton trade, 15 years later as part of the newest Sports Hub Sidelines podcast, which you can listen to above. The Thornton talk begins around the 47:45 mark.

Also among the topic on this week's podcast: the guys recap their Thanksgivings, which they survived with their limbs intact. The Goo Goo Dolls and Big Tree Lighting turned out to be the one industry bigger than the NFL. (11:38) There's an update on the mysterious monoliths that have popped up on multiple continents, and maybe Ty is starting to believe there's something at work with the aliens (21:30).

Danny Ainge salvaged something out of the Gordon Hayward trade, and now the Celtics are left hoping their young core grows into true championship contenders over the next five years - and actually win one before Jayson Tatum becomes a free agent (34:15). And after revisiting the Joe Thornton trade, Matt & Ty give their latest thoughts on the Bruins' upcoming season and when they think the NHL season might actually start (1:07:10).

Matt Dolloff and Ty Anderson are back for a Thanksgiving edition of the Sports Hub Sidelines podcast. The big long weekend is on the horizon and Matt & Ty are indeed fans of Thanksgiving, so some turkey talk is a must. The guys go over their favorite things about Thanksgiving to start the podcast, and why debating the best and worst side dishes is a pointless exercise.

Eventually the guys segue into the Patriots and their disappointing loss to the Texans. What did that loss prove about the team? And what are their chances of beating Kyler Murray and the Cardinals?

Matt & Ty mix in some banter about fake Patriots fans and AC/DC before switching gears to hockey. Connor McDavid's new house is weird-looking and creepy, so the guys have some thoughts on that. The Bruins have re-signed Jake DeBrusk, but is the organization taking the right approach in the winger's development? Finally, the guys pay tribute to former Bruin Johnny Boychuk on the day it's announced that he will be forced to retire due to an eye injury.

To close out the Thanksgiving episode, Matt circles back for an interesting thought: if you were in charge of Thanksgiving, what would you serve? Both guys are swapping out the turkey for something else, with some of their own original choices mixed in.

Matt and Ty are back for another full episode. Matt's curious about how Ty's vacation in Florida went, before the guys dive deep into the Patriots' huge win over the Ravens. They still need help to get to the playoffs, but the path has widened. They also get into the NHL's new "reverse retro" alternate jerseys and rank their favorites - and least favorites.

Then, Ty finishes up with his thoughts on what he wants the Celtics to do in the NBA Draft. Sprinkled in between are the guys' ever-strong opinions on social media and the poor way people use it, particularly to threaten people or treat them like crap.

Matt and Ty are back for a new episode and they're sticking to hockey, dammit. The NHL is going public with its goals and plans for the 2020-21 season, which could include a temporary realignment of teams based on geographical location. What would that entail and what does it mean for the Bruins and the league? Plus, the NHL is preparing for the possibility of rotating hub city schedules, to allow teams to travel home and be with their families as opposed to spending too much time in a bubble.

Switching gears to the Patriots ... why are so many people calling for "tanking," when it hasn't proven to be an effective strategy? The guys discuss what the Patriots really need to worry about at the draft and at quarterback. How alive are the Patriots' playoff hopes at this point? The Ravens are coming to town while Lamar Jackson hasn't been quite the same player. Could this be a trap game for Baltimore and a sneaky-winnable game for the Pats? The guys go over what the Pats need to do - and what other teams need to do to help them - in order to climb back into the playoffs by the end of the season.

Matt & Ty are back for another episode of the Sports Hub Sidelines podcast. However, with the 2020 presidential election results unfolding on Tuesday night and well into Wednesday, the guys aren't sticking to sports because at this point, who is? They kick off with election talk and a discussion about the future of the country. Will our discourse calm down to something more reasonable, or has Donald Trump permanently damaged the culture to the point that everything will be polarized and chaotic? Matt also has an update on his doppelgänger in Denver (21:40).

Back to sports...the Patriots are 2-5 and Tom Brady's Bucs are 6-2. Matt has a bone to pick with any Patriots "fans" who turned their back on the team to root for the Bucs because they have Brady (25:32). The Patriots themselves have their share of problems, though, including a quarterback who is coming up short in big moments (28:57). Also, has Bill Belichick's subpar drafting in the first two rounds finally come back to bite him? (35:05)

Finally, the guys transition to the next NHL season and the Bruins. The league is going to shorten net season, which will be beneficiary for the Bruins and their aging core. What are Matt & Ty looking for in next year's Bruins team? Who needs to take a step forward for them to feel good about the next era? (49:29)

Matt Dolloff and Ty Anderson are back with another podcast. They catch up on what they've been up to lately and their latest COVID-19 concerns, before diving deep into the state of the Patriots (11:30). What needs to happen for the Pats' season to turn around? Eventually they transition into the end of the World Series, which was a big loss for analytics nerds (48:32). Matt has a hot take on Mookie Betts and the future of both the Red Sox and Dodgers (53:27). Then, in light of Mookie Betts choosing Los Angeles over Boston, they delve into an important topic that is gaining relevance in recent weeks: why is Boston becoming more and more unappealing to star athletes? Matt Dolloff - not THAT Matt Dolloff - is back from a vacation for a new episode of the Sports Hub Sidelines podcast with Ty Anderson. Matt's had a weird couple of weeks after a man with the same name shot and killed someone in Denver. Matt talks about that surreal experience, plus what he did while on vacation in Seattle. Eventually, the guys get into a disappointing loss for the Patriots and their expectations for a tough upcoming schedule (12:23). They then go on a tangent with crazy stories about fights, scandals, and bubble gum in their high school days (23:48).

Later on, Matt & Ty get into the Bruins' offseason so far. The team has disappointed with its lack of external additions via free agency or trades, while they may also lose both Torey Krug and Zdeno Chara. How do the guys feel about the defense moving forward? Did they do enough with their forward group? What's the expectation for the team if they make no more additions? (30:25)

Matt circles back to his doppelganger and that wild story out of Denver. Could Matt possibly show his face in that city without coming up with alias or using a fake ID? (59:08) Matt also gives a quick preview of what to expect on the Sports Hub website, including a look at Patriots-49ers (1:02:10). And just before they sign off, they rattle off a bunch of scary movies that they're looking to watch before Halloween (1:03:34).

The Bruins are drafting and the Patriots are catching COVID-19. It's an eventful week in the Boston sports world, and Matt Dolloff is here to break it down with Ty Anderson. The guys start off by addressing those pesky Tuukka Rask rumors, and the possibility of him going to the Colorado Avalanche. Who could the Bruins possibly get back in such a deal? (1:15) Even if the Bruins don't make a trade during the draft, they could still make one afterward. Brandon Saad, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, and Tyler Toffoli are among the possible trade targets discussed for the Bruins (9:03).

Moving on to the 2020 draft, Ty gives his initial thoughts on Bruins second-round pick Mason Lohrei, and what he's heard about him as a player (20:12). They also talk about third-rounder Trevor Kuntar, who has committed to Boston College and has potential to really pay off (28:15). Ty reveals which Bruins trade target he'd like to get the most (37:01).

Switching gears to the NFL, Matt & Ty dive into the latest news on the Patriots and COVID-19. Will the league ever decide on pausing the season, or will they simply play through anything? The guys are holding their breath on the Pats, who aren't necessarily out of the woods yet as far as avoiding a full-on outbreak. (39:06) The Bruins draft Jamie Langenbrunner's son, Mason, and the guys react live. What is up with the Bruins drafting the kids of people in the organization? (53:35) They close it out by circling back to the Patriots and reacting to Monday's loss to the Chiefs (1:06:57).

Youth is a major topic of this episode, and the way young generations are developing in both sports and the real world. Matt & Ty discuss the important new documentary "The Social Dilemma" and issues facing the way people use (and abuse) social media.

But eventually they get into many topics in the NHL, starting with reactions to the Tampa Bay Lightning's Stanley Cup win (13:30). Bobby Ryan got bought out, and could be a good fit for the Bruins for the right deal. (20:39) Torey Krug is likely gone, and it may be time for the Bruins to decide which young defensemen they want to keep and which ones to move on from. (24:45) What does Ty know about the Jack Eichel rumors? Is it even possible for the Bruins to get him? (34:22)

Switching gears to the Celtics, Matt believes that Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown simply aren't ready to win at a high level - and there's a makeup issue after them on the roster. Do the C's need more veterans with playoff experience, as opposed to international free agents who don't know how to win any more than the kids? (41:12) Finally, the guys get into the state of Patriots and a look at their big upcoming showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs (57:26).

Plenty of Patriots and Bruins talk for Matt & Ty to get to, but first they ramble about their lack of sleep and issues at their apartments in recent days. Then the guys go in-depth on the Patriots and their outlook for the season after a "moral victory" in Seattle (3:57). Matt has to get some movie talk off his chest, because he stayed up late watching something that creeped him out (22:20). A discussion on the new film "The Social Dilemma" leads to an extended talk on the problems with the way people use social media today (29:55). Neither Matt nor Ty trust anything the NFL or NHL say (39:05). Ty has some thoughts on the Stanley Cup Final, two games in (40:56). The Bruins have a tough offseason in front of them, and the guys go over some recent rumors involving them and big-ticket players, plus why they may have to bite the bullet and trade some young talent (44:38). Finally, a video of defenseman Kevan Miller shows him in good shape, but what's his best hope for returning to the Bruins, or anywhere? (57:42).

Matt & Ty are back with another hour. Plenty to get to in the world of New England sports, but first they talk about the horrible back problems they've had lately as they struggle with their adulting. But eventually the guys discuss the Patriots' win over the Dolphins in the first game of the Cam Newton era (7:05). They also get into Tom Brady's debut with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which did not go so well for the 43-year-old (13:33). Back to the Patriots and what lies ahead, including a tough matchup with the Seattle Seahawks and what needs to improve moving forward (18:03).

The guys then switch gears to the Celtics, who lost Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals to the Miami Heat. Is it fair to expect Jayson Tatum to be a championship-caliber superstar at age 21? Is Jimmy Butler simply more ready for this moment than Tatum? (37:32) Finally, they get into the Dallas Stars and ex-Bruins Anton Khudobin and Tyler Seguin getting back to the Stanley Cup Final before Boston. Ty tells his favorite Khudobin stories. Plus: what is this offseason going to look like for the Bruins, after Cam Neely notably said they need to be "brutally honest" about their situation? (48:42)

Matt Dolloff and Ty Anderson are back for another new episode of the Sports Hub Sidelines. They start off with some banter about the start of fall and their thoughts on the invasion of everything pumpkin. But fall season is fast approaching, which means that balls are in the air - footballs, that is. The guys dive into their season outlooks for the Patriots and why it's a good feeling not to have such overwhelming pressure to win the Super Bowl (11:16).

Will the defense be nearly as good as last season with all the roster changes? (16:20) How do the guys feel about the kicker situation? (21:27) What is the true potential for the Patriots offense with an all-in Cam Newton at quarterback instead of a half-in Tom Brady? (26:51) It's also a big year for Bill Belichick as he looks to keep the Pats afloat as a Super Bowl contender despite having a new quarterback and a younger roster (45:40).

Finally, the guys switch to the Bruins and go over some potential big moves they could make to improve their forwards. (51:24) Also, is it time for them to just play the kids and see what they have on defense? (1:07:33)

Matt & Ty are back with a full hour on Boston sports. It's mostly Bruins talk, as the Sports Hub's resident hockey nerds do a quick recap of the Bruins' loss to the Lightning. But the bulk of the conversation centers around an uncertain future for the B's. Is the "window" still open for Cup contention with their younger core, and do they simply need to retool around the margins to be better built to win in the playoffs? (3:58) If Zdeno Chara and the Bruins decide to re-up for another year, would they be better suited putting him in a reduced role? (16:32) What's going to happen in net if the team decides to move on from Tuukka Rask? Can they move on from Rask at all? (23:23)

Jake DeBrusk could be a sneaky-big piece to the puzzle in the offseason. Are the Bruins going to give him a bridge deal like they've done with other RFAs, or would they be able to swing a trade to make an upgrade at his spot? (33:15) With all the questions up and down the roster, this offseason is as big for Don Sweeney as it is for anyone. (40:21) Torey Krug is set to become a free agent, but would the Bruins be better off replacing him with a different kind of defenseman? Is he worth what he's going to get paid on the open market? (46:16) Matt & Ty have some thoughts on hockey in the "bubble," and whether it's viable to do next season if necessary. (52:50)

Finally, the guys have some thoughts on the Patriots and football season. Expect to hear plenty more about the Pats moving forward. (59:20)

Matt and Ty react to yet another disappointing effort by the Bruins in a 3-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning, which leaves them on the brink of elimination for the third year in a row. Do the B's have the right roster makeup to ever get by Tampa, let alone win the Stanley Cup? The guys go over all of the biggest mistakes that the Bruins made in Game 4 on Saturday, and there were a few. They also discuss some the long-term outlook for the Bruins, who look headed for an organizational crossroads if they come up short yet again.

The Bruins had one of their most lopsided playoff defeats in a long time on Wednesday night, falling to the Tampa Bay Lightning 7-1. Matt and Ty are here to pick up the pieces. What went wrong in this one? How do you begin to break down such a bizarre series of events and disappointing efforts by the Bruins? The guys aren't confident that the Bruins can come back and win the series, as they do their best to come up with ways that the B's can make it happen. But at the end of the day, Tampa entered this series as the deeper, more complete team, and it's starting to show. And worst of all, the Bruins are starting to show some of the same problems that they had in their prior two playoff runs.

Matt Dolloff and Ty Anderson are back with another full episode. Now that all the sports are back in full swing, they can finally focus mainly on sports. The guys start off with their thoughts on the NHL and NBA broadcasts and how they've done so far, as opposed to the disaster that is Major League Baseball (2:54). The Bruins get back to work on Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Lightning, so the guys preview the game with a look at how both teams have changed since the last time they clashed in the playoffs and their expectations for the B's (13:04). Derek Jeter called for sympathy for the Marlins players who went out and caused a COVID outbreak, and Matt is having none of it (34:53).

The guys switch gears to the Patriots, who had a lot of guys opt out of the season. How concerned are they about the depth at linebacker and safety without Dont'a Hightower and Patrick Chung? (40:05) After things go off the rails for a minute they get back to the Bruins and the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and their observations on other teams. They also get into Tuukka Rask, and why Tuukka was in a lose-lose situation the second he started coughing (50:26). As Matt & Ty tend to do as lifelong hockey fans, they reminisce on some of their favorite logos, classic players, and aspects of the game (1:02:00). Matt Dolloff and Ty Anderson are back for another week on the Sidelines. First the guys recap the latest coronavirus figures in Mass. compared to the rest of the country - and Japan - before talking about the fascination with retro tech (7:24). Some solid movie talk with plenty more references to check off your list (11:22). Patrick Mahomes is at the top of their minds after signing the richest contract in sports history. While Mahomes is worth the money and the Chiefs didn't have much of a choice, it's long been proven that paying your quarterback at the top of the market rarely leads to multiple championships - or a "dynasty," as the Chiefs want (15:48). Cam Newton is already poring over the Patriots' playbook. Matt & Ty discuss the potential of the Patriots offense with Newton at quarterback, complete with win-loss predictions (36:41). The Patriots do have a tough schedule in 2020, but will it hurt them or will they make it look easy? (50:05) And the guys wrap up with the latest in the NHL, and why the league may be doing the best job with its return plan out of the four major sports (57:19).
