God is infinitely complex, but He's also a fan of simplicity. We learn this through His written Word. You can believe what you want. It's your choice. There's a god, there's no god, this is my god, there's a heaven, there's paradise, there's reincarnation.... Believe what you want. Today, I'm sharing about the God I believe in and the offer He gives us to spend eternity with Him. If life is all about "stuff," then being poor can suck... 'cause you ain't got nothing. But, if life's happiness is really found in things you can't buy, then you my friend are the rich kid.

Took me several years to figure that out, but I wouldn't trade my impoverished upbringing for anything.

Here's 9 character traits I built over that time. I would have never had these had I not been raised by a single mom in a trailer park.

Faith
Humility
Empathy
Frugality
Work Ethic
Patience
Gratitude
Creativity
True Happiness

I hope you find light in what I'm trying to share. And, if you're rich.. I hope you slow down and take a hard look at what makes you happy.

OK, let's poke a little fun at this younger generation. Specifically, about the way they talk. Here are 6 things Gen-Z and Millennials do when they talk. OK, cool, no big deal. BUT, they should strongly consider NOT talking like this when in a professional situation. It just flat out makes you seem weak, not confident, airy, not-so-bright, and not all together.

Not my typical podcast. But in all humor.. I hope this helps a few people look in the mirror.

We need more open communication. We need to listen TO EACH OTHER. We are ALL God's children. Any efforts to segment, divide, oppress, .. are of the enemy. Let's listen to one another, love one another, offer grace to one another, serve one another. Resist buying into narratives, broad brush accusations and assumptions, ... instead, think, listen, love, pray, forgive. In the family of Christ, we are all brothers and sisters. Outside of that will ALWAYS be strife and division. And, sometimes strife and division can be found within the family of Christ, if we let our guards down and let sin enter our hearts.

Young girls NEED to hear this. All too often, our young girls are being raised and shaped by culture and peer pressure rather than by strong parents/guardians. Culture and peer pressure do NOT have a young girl's best interest at heart. The quest for popularity, likes, followers, .. can often lead to heartache and depression. Girls can quickly feel defeated and have low self value over meaningless things. These four truths can empower young women and keep them grounded in the things that really matter.
