Allen Miller III has returned to That Old Pod to discuss the first play he has written, Caterpillar Express. Entering it's first private reading, the play should be ready for public readings this coming year. Focusing on the plight of a group of prisoners in a dystopian alternate timeline, Allen Miller's play dives into what motivates individuals in times of crisis and how these pressures can cause people to blossom into creatures they'd never have anticipated. The play itself is extremely dark, although this episode does not dive too deeply into anything graphic.

Diana Sparta is this week's special guest joining for a special Buffy edition of That Old Pod. Conversation is focuses on the importance and power of female role models, and how Buffy helped fill this role for Diana and countless other women. We talk specifically about Joss Whedon and his work, and how he's strived to be an advocate for women, with the caveat that he is just another white dude. For those with children listening, be aware that this episode covers some more adult themes than most.
Special guest Brittany Eisenegger joins That Old Pod to discuss this year's film festivals and what upcoming movies most have her attention. Brittany is an avid fan of independent film and discusses how she has become knowledgable about a topic she had almost no background for in the span of a few years. The conversation focuses on the experience of watching films and how we relate to them.
Ross Beck returns to That Old Pod to discuss his love of Kerbel Space Program and how it has encouraged his love for space travel. Conversation branches out as we learn about the awesome endeavors from Kerben to cover topics such as the new Apple hardware to van life and minimalism.

Welcome to a very special version of That Old Pod. In some exciting news, popularity of the pod has grown to the point that I have too much going on to give a proper show notes to a topic this week. Yet simultaneously, many listeners have reached out and made it clear they are anxiously awaiting new content. If you’ve listened to the two previous podcasts with Mike Jones, you probably have been startled by the abrupt way they have ended. The truth is that Mike and I will just talk endlessly and the more we talk, the more engaged we become. This week’s pod is simply a portion of one of these unending conversations recorded. I can only hope that you all enjoy listening a fraction as much as I enjoy sharing thoughts with this man.
