Ray 7ackson

Ray 7ackson was born and raised in south Siberia in a city called Omsk. He was very fortunate to go to one of the best music schools in the city where Ray learned music theory, history, playing piano. In his teenage years he started listening to heavy music from which he draws inspiration to this day. He's assured that heavy genres like Post-Hardcore help clear the mind and throw some of the emotions out.

In 2015, Ray started his SoundCloud account where he was posting acoustic covers to his favourite songs and his own ideas recorded with just guitar and his voice. After a while, he continued learning music production and added more instruments into his acoustic setup.

Later on, in 2020, he decided it was time to go in a different direction and started creating music in a more electronic-based genres. That’s when he also started publishing his music officially. In the beginning, it was just Tropical House inspired by the songs from the online radio he sometimes was listening to. Then the focus switched away from making music in a set genre as he started creating more songs based on his feelings in a variety of genres from Lo-fi Hip Hop to Future Bass.

Currently Ray's not set on any specific genre but he says that he doesn't have to be - he wants to make great music and it doesn't really matter if it's a Pop or EDM, as long as it helps him share his message with his listeners.

A lot of Ray's music is based on his feelings, his life experience, the issues he was going through and the fears he overcame. For example, in a song called "Closing Down", he's expressing his feelings by singing "I'm closing down because I'm down one heart" and "It's time to reflect and make up for what I've broken", whilst also looking to the future with hope, e. g. "I'm positive things will go back to normal". In another song of his, "The End Of Me", he's singing "Can't scream because no one knows, I float and see where it goes" to share how hard it is to keep your feelings to yourself.

Even though the meaning of his songs can be a bit melancholy, he tries to compensate it by making cheerful beats/melodies to mix with the words and share his hopes for the best to come in the future.

Being a musician of passion, Ray 7ackson takes his music as art and tries to bring it to the next level with each song he releases.
