Fear can rob us of three essential gifts from God that we desperately need at this time. Power enables us to live a life of faith when it’s not easy. Love enables us to share and sacrifice when it’s not convenient. A sound mind allows us to experience peace, even when everything seems to be going wrong.
There is too much at stake to give in to fear during this season. Now more than ever, we need power, love, and a sound mind. Fear is too costly. Choose faith. TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT: Today’s verses can make life sound like a fairy tale. We pray, and peace comes. But how many times have you prayed and the inner turmoil didn’t let up? Maybe it’s because giving up our requests to God requires surrender of the anxieties and outcomes to God. How often do we actually do that?
When we open our hearts and lips to pray, we also have a responsibility to let go of the results. Jesus is willing to shoulder our worries when we’re willing to trust Him.
Paul urges us in Philippians to go to God with gratitude and let our worries, concerns, and anticipations be made known to God. When we let go of those requests, the next verse tells us the peace of God will stand guard over our hearts and minds.
When we understand the gravity of God’s unfailing love and faithfulness to his children, we can sit gratefully at His feet with our simple prayers and fully surrender to His will. Then we will experience the kind of peace we’ve been longing for, the peace that surpasses all understanding.
PRAY: Father God, I surrender. I let go of the things keeping me up at night. I lay at Your feet the worries weighing me down during the day. Jesus, I declare my trust is in Your love and faithfulness as soon as the words leave my mouth. I ask for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to clothe my weary heart. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

What do you want to be known for? I don’t know about you, but I’ve got a list. And real talk—some of it is kind of shallow. See, I’d love to be known for being confident, wise, selfless, and strong. But I’d also like it if I were known for looking effortlessly cute, being impressive or having a must-follow social media presence. In Mark 14:3-9, a story is told about a woman who worships Jesus in an extravagant expression of love. Basically, she interrupts him in the middle of a dinner party to anoint him with some very expensive perfume. Yet in the face of such a beautiful outpouring of worship, she is met with criticism. What I find fascinating is that in response to the criticism, Jesus says that her story will be told all over the world. In fact, he said, “I tell you the truth, wherever the Good News is preached throughout the world, this woman’s deed will be remembered and discussed.” (Mark 14:9 NLT) . Now, this woman could have been remembered only for the harsh words that were spoken over her by those who looked down on her and her actions. But that’s not why we still speak about her and tell her story today. This woman is remembered for the way she loved her savior. It was selfless, beautiful, and extravagant. She overcame criticism and shame to pour out her offering of love for the one who would pour out forgiveness through his own blood. When all is said and done, this is what I really want, to remembered for how deeply I loved God, and how that love was a driving force in all I did. Lord, let my life be poured out as an offering. Thank you for your grace that covers my sins, and that allows me to share your love with those around me.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about reconciling with my limitations and how the weight of the expectations I carry are often self-imposed. Maybe that’s your story too?

How uncomfortable it is to be met with these limitations head-on and lean into that weakness. How wonderfully difficult and necessary it is to lay it all down. When my grip is too tight, what a relief it is to let it all go and relinquish control. As if there was ever an alternative?!

Sweet friend, this is finding His strength in our weakness.

This is refining. This is pruning. This is His loving kindness. This is His tender mercy meeting us in the midst of the already and the not yet. What a beautiful tension we get to live in! Cast your cares on Him today

No one is without fear, but it’s important we occasionally stop and take inventory of those fears. . What’s weighing on us? What burden are we carrying? Just as young children imitate their parents, you are called to imitate Christ in how He loved others and lived His life. Your love for others needs to go beyond your words to the way you treat those God has purposefully placed in your life. You are a reflection of Christ to the unsaved world. How you live and how you love matters! Christ loved not only with His words but also with every aspect of His life! He lived a life of service and sacrifice, and you are called to do the same. Pierce the darkness of this world with the life God has given you. Show those around you the change Christ has made in your life today!

The more challenging our circumstances, the harder it is sometimes to live for Jesus. A lost job, a failing marriage, an emotional struggle, a seemingly impossible temptation. I like to call these situations wilderness seasons. Those periods in life where you just don’t think you will make it and where you feel you have already lost before you’ve even tried. I’ve been there. We all have. And Jesus has been there too.

LORD, I pray my husband will be drawn into a closer walk with You. No matter how busy he becomes, I pray You will remind him that he cannot go off on his own without acknowledging You as the source of all that is good in his life. Give him the wisdom and discernment to see when he is becoming distracted by other things and neglecting his relationship with You. Give him a desire for more of You and Your Word. Enable him to see clearly that without You he can do nothing worthwhile or lasting. Give him a desire to plug into You in a deeper way, so that his connection with You produces great fruit in his life. Show me how to encourage and support him in that. Only You know what will speak to his heart.

Father I thank you for new mercy and grace that covers me each day..
Lord, I want to make more room for you. There’s this longing to know more about you and your plans for my life.. I truly want to live a life of God’s best for me but I have to first give you my best. Forgive me for the times I said I would be more faithful and failed.. I truly want to walk with you, I truly want to draw myself closer to you.
Meet me where I am God and lead me to every place that you are. I pray that my life begins to align how you see fit. I pray that my eyes are opened to the reality of you. I pray that my ears are opened to hear so that I can obey when you speak. I pray for a shift in my focus and priorities, that you nudge me to make the necessary changes so that your will can be done above my own.

As I’ve been navigating this new space of uncomfortableness that God has me in, I’ve finally surrendered to the truth that there’s no skipping this part…
Because to keep it real there were many days that I didn’t understand, or had thoughts of “If only this were different, or I’ll be okay when this happens..” but the truth of the matter is there’s no skipping your process that leads to your purpose. And who said you can’t be okay now? Who said you have to wait until things come together to have joy again?
We as believers have to learn how to navigate growing pains without being finessed into the enemy's schemes and mind games. You can thrive in the wilderness and waiting season when you truly know and believe that the joy of the Lord is indeed your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). You can feel a release of pressure, stress, and worry when you slow down and choose to live in God’s reality and not your own daunting thoughts.
There’s no skipping this part. There’s no speeding up a process that you didn’t make in the first place.
All I can really say is let your guard down with God and let Him have His way. Constantly pray for eyes like His and a mind like His. You’re not alone, God is here and forever moving even when you feel stuck.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

The opening verse of our passage is Matthew 7:1, “Do not judge so that you will not be judged.” (NASB). This passage is very popular! It is not unique to just one culture. Let me illustrate. There is a Japanese proverb which states, “Search seven times before you suspect anyone.” Confucius is quoted as saying, “It is not the failure of others to appreciate your abilities that should trouble you, but rather your failure to appreciate them.” The famous Rabbi Hillel of Jesus’ time said, “Judge not your friend until you have stood in his place.” There is an American Sioux proverb that says, “Before I judge my neighbor, let me walk a mile in his moccasins.” An Arabian proverb reads, “Examine what is said, not who speaks,” and Mother Teresa said, “If you judge people, you have not time to love them.” No one likes to be judged. We are all familiar with judgmental people. We are familiar with our own failings in judging people unfairly and harshly. Everyone judges others. It is like drinking water. We all do it.

Lord, thank You for the people You have divinely placed in my life who speak holy truth, love and words of wisdom. If you've heard this song, chances are you have a hard time not feeling uplifted. 》》🎶I CHOOSE JOY!🎶 《《 It moved me to say the least. Music cranked, sunroof open, and it may have been a little hard to sit still. I always enjoy when this song comes on but today I savored the words a little more. It seems like there's always something or someone in our lives that tend to weigh us down. Maybe we feel frustrated, or sad, or confused by circumstances. Maybe something on the news puts a burden on your heart or maybe you're having a disagreement with a loved one. Things like that can weigh us down sometimes without us even realizing it. But today, hearing that song, I was reminded (as I need to be) that I have a choice. Yes, there will oftentimes be chaos and hardship but I know that's not where it ends. I CHOOSE JOY because I have a HOPE. My God has never failed me and I have FAITH that he never will. I sometimes might have to choose JOY, but I know if I'm following Him, it'll always be well within reach.

This is the Bible Verse of the Day. It really spoke to me❕ • We are meant to be the light of the world. We are meant to be an example of what Christianity is, an example of who Jesus is. We cannot spread the good news of Jesus by keeping to ourselves. We as Christians have to be proud of who our savior is and be the light to bring people to Jesus.

You won’t always have the perfect body or the perfect face or even personality. You can’t. You will have moments where you reject all of you. But you can always do your best to appreciate what you do have and how you do look. Body shaming yourself is not cool. You deserve to treat yourself like the beautiful soul you intended to be. Focus on what’s best in others; validate their gifts and strengths.

Avoid touchy topics; don’t be boring or offensive; and notice when it’s time to let another take the stage.

Try to focus more on others and the things that interest them. Avoid the trap of talking about me, me, me!
