Sharing my journey through the devastating loss of my youngest son Michael to AIDS, Christmas 2017. The awful diagnosis, 5 year journey and eventual death of my husband to Early-On-Set Lewy Body Dementia July 2019. To share the story of how I lost myself, how I journeyed into the dark and horrible black hole of grief. But I want to show that even through all of these devastating losses I have made it through and I’m discovering everyday the new me.
The journey of grief is a solo journey. No one can do the journey for us. It’s imperative to use whatever tools-medication, therapy, friends, journaling, volunteering to help us move from the darkness towards the light and a new beginning.
My story, through the losses in my life. My desire to share my story and hear yours. To be able to provide comfort to others as they journey through their grief.
