Hazelwood West Writers Week: Recent Episodes
Writers Week is a yearly school wide event put on by the ELA Dept.
Writers Week is a school wide celebration of the writing craft. Through the written word, we share stories, lives, and ideas. We also learn from professionals who use writing in their careers, such as authors, journalists, comedians, lecturers, actors, songwriters, musicians, even business people! 2024 is year 16 for Writers Week and the 4th season of our podcast.
Mackenzie Day, our Journalism and Yearbook teacher, and Skylar Stumpf, one of our fabulous Journalism students, will be interviewing Matt Thompson, a writer, teacher, and producer based in Los Angeles ( and brother to WW friend, Jessica Vishy).
The episode also features poems by students, Wesely Williams and Damia Jackson...AND a science joke by Mr. Patterson!
