In this episode we take a look at the story of David and Goliath. Goliath was a big scary obstacle that caused Saul and the whole Israelite army to freeze with fear. David came on the scene and saw Goliath not as a big scary obstacle that couldn't be defeated, but as someone who had no business defying the army of God. David new that God would deliver him into his hands. Sometimes it would be nice if there was a David to come and save us, but the truth is, there is a David in each one of us. We don't need a David, we are the David.
As we continue on our journey, we have been talking about creating new momentum in life, taking actions that are beyond our comfort zone. We have been talking about 2026 as the year of breakthrough and success. And with all these good things there are some challenges and obstacles that can arise. Taking new actions and running into obstacles can create room for fear, doubt and excuses, which can seek to talk us out of the very things that God is calling us into. So we have declared this month, "No Excuses March."
Ephesians 6:13 "Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." Today we are looking at the mentality necessary to stand in the face of challenges.
There are times on the path of purpose where you wonder if the effort is really going to be worth it. Where you question if what you are doing is actually going to work. You have trials, things get uncomfortable and the results don't quite turn out like you where hoping. It is in times like these that we must, Keep Going.
Moving into new territory is a beautiful thing. Though it can hold some challenges. Doing new things to create the new results that God has been talking to you about can be quite uncomfortable. And sometimes we need to take multiple steps of faith even while the situations of life don't seem to be changing. It's in times like these that we need to hold on to the vision and goal and keep taking persevering action.
As I was thinking about this new year, the words that stood out were Breakthrough and Success. In this episode, we talk about two areas of breakthrough. The first is breakthrough from things in the past that we might still be carrying on our path of purpose. The second area is breakthrough from perceived limitations. When God calls us into new territory, He also calls us into new realms of freedom.
Sometimes there are seasons in life where the things that God is calling us into challenge our paradigm. It challenges our belief system. And the steps that we need to take to begin can be quite uncomfortable and scary. While we are building Momentum the smallest obstacles can bring our progress to a screeching halt. But as we continue to push forward and create momentum it becomes easier to overcome obstacles. In this episode we will look at the process of creating momentum.
In this episode we begin our look at 3 types of leaders found in the old testament.
- The ones who got put in the position but were not trained for it. Had the title but no qualifications.
- The ones who were good and proficient in some areas and deficient in other areas
- The ones who were prepared for their call
Today we look at king Saul who falls under leader type 1. And we see what happens when we get promoted with out first building the skills.
In this episode we are taking a look at a few parables that Jesus shared that contain principles of management. Let's get into it.
Management is the pathway to your future. In order to develop, and grow into the person that your picture in the future, you must manage with excellence and precision what you currently have. To often, people want to jump straight into their vision without going through the development process. They want to advance and get promoted without becoming more first. To become more, we must manage what we currently have and are doing. We must be faithful will the little. Otherwise if we mismanage what we have now we will mismanage the more. Let's get into it.

Culture is the culmination of the ingredients that determine what is normal and acceptable in a group of people. Culture sets the trajectory for your life and therefore the ideas that shape your culture matter.
There is a need that can arise while you are on the path of purpose to recenter or re-aline yourself. Sometimes while on the path you can make decisions that unintentionally cause you to stop cultivating in a certain area of life and to wonder from the path. And when this happens you will eventually hear the call to get recentered.
Vision is a very important part of living on purpose. And understanding how vision works eliminates a lot of confusion. In this episode we talk about 3 principles of vision and how they work. Check it out!
Today we are going to look at Israel getting to the threshold of the promised land for the first time. When they got there God told Moses to send in 12 spies. 1 head or leader from each tribe. The spies go out and come back and 10 of the 12 come back with the wrong word and influence the whole congregation to believe it’s not possible to go into the promised land which caused the people with the promise get disqualified. But here is what is interesting. The people got disqualified because of a bad word brought by 10 of the spies. It was God’s idea to send the spies. But here is the thing. God’s intention was not for those 10 spies to see what they saw. Caleb and Joshua met God out there and saw what God intended.
The spy mission was to help prepare the people to embark on this new season. So we are going to look at what went down. And we are going to gain some fabulous insights. And these insights are going to help prepare us for this next season that we are about to embark on.
One of the biggest obstacles you can face in making the shift from missions to business is your belief system. There are some things that you can learn in missions that are antagonistic towards making money and having and operating a business. In this episode I hope to lower the strength curve for making this transition as well as give you some insight and greater understanding into why businesses exist.
There is a pathway to the fulfillment of your vision. The pathway is the development process to equip you to succeed. Saul did not have much of a development process before he became king and he failed. David did however have a pathway and because of that, he had very different results.
In this episode we take a look at the differences in leadership approaches between King Saul and his son Jonathan. Not only do they have different approaches but they get very different results. It’s been said, “There are only two types of leaders: Effective and Ineffective.” We will see that this statement is true.
In 1 Samuel 8 the elders of Israel ask Samuel to put a king over them, so they can be like all the other nations. We will take a look at this and other leadership decisions and consider the motivation and the ramifications of these actions and see what we can learn.
We are taking a look at two more sections of “As A Man Thinketh” by James Allen. “All that a man achieves and all that he fails to achieve is the direct result of his own thoughts.” Our lives become what WE THINK they should be. Change the way you think, Change your life.

Your will is your ability to choose a direction and initiate action; to concentrate and focus your attention on your chosen aim. However, the biggest enemy to being decisive and choosing a direction, is indecision. And the biggest enemy to initiating action, is making excuses. And when you are spinning in indecision and keeping busy by making excuses you create a black hole that sucks up all your focus and attention. This is when you get to the end of a week and wonder where it went. You were ready to make this week count but somehow it slipped through your fingers.
Our will is like a muscle and we must develop it. That means if you find yourself off course, the correct action is to course correct, NOT QUIT.

Follow through is the process of committing to an idea, taking action and working it all the way through to completion. Just think of the things we could accomplish with follow through.
Everything that has ever been invented necessitated follow through. Someone had to see the potential and believe it was possible to create what they saw. It took King Solomon 7 years to build the temple and 13 years to build his house. 20 years of follow through to accomplish his projects.
To live life on purpose we will need to develop follow through.
For Israel to receive the promise land they needed to participate in God's plan. It was easy for God to bring Israel out of Egypt, but it was a bit of a challenge to get Egypt out of Israel. Israel was free on the outside, but still a slave on the inside. Their perspective prevented them from seeing God correctly. This ended up disqualifying the very people God had qualified.
God wants his will to be done on earth just like it is in heaven. We are a big part of that plan. In order to manifest the things on earth that Jesus accomplished in the spirit requires we take new territory. And taking new territory requires a new mindset.
In this episode we are taking a look at how the cross is a transition point that causes us to be united with Christ and seated in heavenly places where he is. It's from our position in Christ that flows identity, purpose and vision.
Taking action is the only way to create progress. Sometimes is can be challenging to turn an idea into a reality. Meaning the potential of a product or service or solution is mostly cultivated in your mind but you are having a hard time putting it on paper or turning into a physical product. In this episode we talk about a hack, a tip or trick to transform that potential into reality.
Jesus said, "The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field." The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure that a man traded everything he had to possess. The kingdom of heaven is desirable.

There is an expectation of greatness on our lives to accomplish things of great value. No one is created to just make it through life. We are created to know God and do great things.
Jesus was asked why he spent time with the tax collectors and other sinners and he told them the story of the man how had one hundred sheep and one got lost. The man left the ninety nine who were where they were supposed to be and searched for the one who wasn't where it belonged. It's worth the search to find what belongs to you.
Aubrey shares her story of overcoming drugs and an abusive relationship to encourage others that when life seems at it's darkest there is still hope.
When things don't happen as quick and easy as you thought it would it can seem like the door to your desired destination is permanently locked and telling you that your going in the wrong direction. But sometimes the door is just stuck and a little persistent insistence is the key to getting that door to open.
To temper is to seek out weakness to insure strength. This is the process people would use to makes swords. No one would trust a sword that had not been tempered. In this episode we talk about the tempering process in life that makes you battle ready.
There is more than one approach to any situation. Sometimes freaking out and panicking seems like the right approach but our approach is largely based on the certain aspects we are focusing on. Change your focus, shift your perspective. Shift your perspective, shift your approach. Shift your approach shift your outcome.
We are taking a different look at Pauls perspective of boasting in weakness. God said, "My strength in perfected in your weakness," and Paul proved that through his actions. Every time Paul talks about his weakness it is followed up with enduring persecution, insults, and trails. Meaning he isn't talking about his inabilities and making excuses for not taking action. He is talking about strength and action.
A good attitude is a necessity to living a life the realizes its potential. The right attitude is what helps keeps a mindset of perseverance in times of trials.
Nothing in all creation was created without first being an idea. One idea can set your life on a course of purpose. One idea can keep you from even getting out of bed. Ideas are powerful.
People who are very skillful at what they do tend to draw a crowd. Being skillful creates an opportunity to be influential.
Knowing the times helps to clarify what needs to be done in that season. Knowing what God is doing gives you access to participate. Not knowing what God is doing will land you on the sidelines. No one is meant to be on the side lines.
Persistent consistence creates growth and progress. Persistent consistence is vital to achieving your purpose and vision.
There are quite a few stories in the bible where God uses what already exists and either transforms it or multiplies it so solve a problem. Meaning God uses the substance that already exists instead of pulling something out of thin air. We are that substance God uses to bring about transformation.
The Kingdom of Heaven is like the yeast a woman used in making bread. Even though she put only a little yeast in three measures of flour, it permeated every part of the dough.
Yeast represents influence and all you need is a little bit to affect your whole life.

Working out identity, purpose and vision, is all about gaining clarity. Knowing who you are, why you are, and where you are going is a recipe for action and realizing potential. Being unsure about who you are, why you are and where you are going is a recipe for frustration and the inertia mindset (remaining stationary and stagnate).
With the right understanding frustration becomes a sign that clarity is lacking. There are three stages where I have experienced frustration on my journey of identity, purpose and vision, and they were all created by the lack of clarity.
Jesus said, "I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest." You can tell a harvest is ripe by the way it looks. He said this while a whole town was coming out to see him because of the testimony of one woman.
The harvest is ripe, so go get you some!
A vehicle gives us access to a certain kind of road. A mountain bike is perfect for a trail in the woods. A car is perfects for paved roads. Each vehicle gives us access to the kind of road it was made for. Our gifts, abilities and interests are vehicles that give us access to certain groups of people who have similar interests. When you identify a vehicle, you also identify the road you should take.
The way we view this life affects our priorities and the decisions we make. If we think that we are to sit and wait for the coming of Jesus, then our interactions with the world will be very limited. But by not participating in the community and in society we forfeit any ability to affect change, have influence and bring about transformation. Jesus said, "Go into the world and make disciples of all nations". Our mission is on earth and we are well equipped for the task.
Maturity comes from growing in experience. Experience comes from applying knowledge. There is a big difference between someone who is familiar with facts and someone who learns for the explicit purpose to use what they learn.
On the journey of vision and purpose things will not always look just like you imagined. Sometimes you don't make it as far as fast as you thought. Or you don't accomplish what you thought you would by a certain time. In times like these, it's easy to get hyper focused on what you don't see, that discouragement begins to set in. In the emotional haze of discouragement it's hard to remember why you are doing what you are doing or where you are going.
It's times like these that we must remember.

Obstacles don't reflect your position in God. Your position in God determines your response to obstacles. Whether you want to go over, around or through.
Perseverance guarantees you reach your end destination.

Joseph has two dreams and right after that his circumstances got crazy. What seemed to void his dreams ended up being the path to the fulfillment.
