Five Black women and girls were killed every day in the United States in 2020, as a national increase in gun violence during the pandemic took a heavy toll on some of the country’s most vulnerable people. In all 1,821 Black women and girls were killed in 2020. That was an additional 461 women and girls who were murdered in 2020 compared with 2019 – more than one additional killing a day. Black women and girls in the US are four times more likely to die by violence than white or Hispanic women. Black female characters are more likely to be shown as violent than white female characters (29.3% compared to 24.6%) and twice as likely to be violent as other female characters of color (14.8%). Is that supposed to be subconsciously saying something? Let's dissect.

Roe v. Wade, (1973), was a landmark decision of the U.S. Supreme Court in which the Court ruled that the Constitution of the United States approved the right to have an abortion. The decision struck down many federal and state abortion laws, and fueled an ongoing abortion debate in the United States about whether, or to what extent, abortion should be legal, who should decide the legality of abortion, and what the role of moral and religious views in the political sphere should be. Curtailing abortion rights is expected to have a disproportionate effect on low-income pregnant people who do not have the means to easily travel to a more permissive state and women of color.

Fatphobia is the fear and hatred of fat bodies. “That encompasses a whole bunch of things, namely weight bias and weight stigma, such as the idea we see people of higher body weight as lazy, and unintelligent, or disgusting.” The harmful effects of fatphobia are a constant for people in larger bodies. “It is more intense against women,” and most of the data on the subject is based on the male/female binary. We are more likely to see positive examples of high-weight men than women in the media. So lets discuss, are you fatphobic or...?

Pornography (the good, the bad, the ugly): is the representation of the human body form or human sexual behavior with the goal of sexual arousal.... the portrayal of sexual subject matter for the exclusive purpose of sexual arousal. A 2011 study found that couples who watch porn together felt more committed and sexually satisfied than couples where one partner watched it alone. Listen to the pros, cons and taboos of the porn industry and let us know where you stand. Are you an addict, a voyeur, or a fly on the wall?

H2H: Heart 2 Heart Mini Series
Turning 30 is often built up to be a huge landmark. The first big celebration after our ‘coming of age’ (after 18), it can be seen as a marker of how much we’ve achieved in young adulthood. For women especially, it has historically been the point at which we’re pressured to feel it 'all coming together', as that biological clock starts to tick even louder. It’s an age of ambition, promise, achievement and expectation all rolled into one. Do you feel the pressure?
Things to know for anyone turning 30:

In the recent years of Instagram and the contemporary art of stand up, there is a distinct use of black women as the the subject and sometimes foundation of comedy for male comedians. These jokes are not simply jokes, but are loaded with political repercussions and continue to position women as jokes themselves, as less serious, as less of a full human. The jokes are not about the characteristics of black women, black women are the joke.

In humans, phenotype examples include earwax type, height, blood type, eye color, freckles, and hair color. And phenotypes aren't just physical traits. Behavior is also considered a phenotype. Research shows that: Although physical attraction is important to young men, with 40% of them considering it ‘essential’ that their partner be ‘good-looking,’ only 18% of men ages 18-25 consider it “essential” that their long-term partner is ‘slender’. The bottom line is that some people care about height and some people don’t, but it is best just to be genuine and put it all out there from the beginning.

In an article titled: Brazilian butt lift - behind the world's most dangerous cosmetic surgery, it has been reported that- Since 2015, the number of butt lifts performed globally has grown by 77.6%, according to a recent survey by the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. It is the fastest-growing cosmetic surgery in the world. The "slim thick" description is similar to the "Thicc" and "Bootylicious" body descriptions, which refer to a curvaceous body figure with a bigger booty. The "Slim" refers to the flat belly and the "Thick" refers to the toned thighs and large, or plump booty. Let's dissect.

Nowadays, people expect their spouses to be their soulmates—the one and only person who will fulfill all their emotional needs. While the soulmate marriage may be a noble ideal to strive for, most of us find it impossible to live up to such high expectations. When we fail to meet our spouse’s needs or don’t get ours met, we despair that our marriage isn’t as good as it’s supposed to be. Infidelity is a leading cause of divorce and one of the most common reasons why couples seek counseling. Surveys suggest that infidelity occurs in upwards of 20% of marriages.

A disorder in which a person has an inflated sense of self-importance. Narcissistic personality disorder is found more commonly in men. The cause is unknown but likely involves a combination of genetic and environmental factors. About 1% of the population suffers from it (and for some reason I happen to run into all of them). Symptoms include: grandiosity, callous and unemotional traits, disregard for others' feelings, excessive need for admiration, or social isolation.

The 'token black girl' is a concept with which we’re depressingly all too familiar, and have been for too long now. We are often the representative woman of colour. With that has often come an underlying expectation to be 'the black one' – to live the sassy, loud, eye-rolling, punchline-delivering, surface level stereotypes afforded to the black women we see in the white TV and film world. We understand that the consequence of messing it up is messing it up for everyone who looks like us in the future and that is a heavy burden to carry.

Black femicide: @blackfemicideus @blackfemicideamerica
CDC states: Black women experience highest rates of homicide of any racial group in the United States. The overall homicide rate for women was 2 per 100,000 women. When researchers reviewed the statistics for Black women, the homicide rate increased to 4.4 per 100,000 women. African-American women are less likely to contact domestic violence service providers or call police when they’re abused, thus increasing their risk of being killed….African-American women are often fearful of reinforcing racial stereotypes the black community is violent.
So why does this keep happening? How did we get here and how do we stop?

Lust is looking at a person and feeling both a strong sexual attraction and a pull toward imaginative details that the relationship could one day possess. Love is a feeling of commitment and adoration for a person that you've put effort into and began to build a life with. It is a feeling backed by action and a desire to grow with and do your best for the person you're with. Lust tends to get a bad rep in most situations but it is part of a healthy relationship in most cases, but lust alone can cause some issues that will be discussed today so let's break it down, which side are you on?

'Waiting for your Best Yes' with our Guest: Rob Kowalski.
Emotionally and mentally, things change, sex is a spiritual ritual. Energy and fluids are exchanged during sexual intercourse and when you get married, the marriage is confirmed with consummation. Only weak people are controlled by sex. Your self esteem should not be based on how many people you can bed. The book 'Why Waiting Works' Is available for free on Rob's website (pay for shipping only) so pick up your copy and read the story of the Stripper turned Christian and hear his reasoning for why waiting for the right person works from BOTH sides.

There are many people you can choose in your life and get rid of if needed. You can pick your friends, and if there's a problem, you can always choose to part ways. However, you can't pick your family, and you can't leave them if you're a minor, or if they're your only source of living. Sometimes, your family can have qualities that you don't like, and it can be hard to deal with them. Other times, you're unsure whether you live in a toxic family situation or not. Being in a toxic family can be draining and detrimental to a Childs growth and can most times affect and shape a young adults view on future relationships they build.

A lot of women who cape for men are usually the ones who are deemed unattractive by the majority of them according to various online articles, thus the need to cater to their messed up viewpoints to get their attention. They are usually negatively competitive, jealous and man-obsessed.
'Staying on code': Support and encourage one another. Be affectionate and create a sisterhood, FOLLOW GIRL CODE (unlike like Portia). Stop being jealous and assuming everyone is a hater. Be open and friendly. Stop giving boyfriends husband benefits and dropping your friends for them (a few examples that may make a woman seem like her life revolves around male attention).

Some people propose after 3 months and others propose after 10 years. Is there a reason for the drastic differences for the proposal times outside of preferences or should there be some outspoken timeline everyone should follow socially? When it comes to timings for milestone moments in a relationship, the reality is a couple should go through each step in their relationship progression only when it’s right for them. It all depends on timing in life, emotional availability and readiness.

The word "psychic" jumped to a one-year high the week of March 8, 2020. That’s the same week the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) began issuing guidance on COVID-19. In respect to Crystals, the Bible mentions rubies (Proverbs 8:11), sapphires (Lamentations 4:7), and topaz (Job 28:19), for example. Crystal Therapy: The proposed healing benefits of crystals predominantly surround areas of mental wellbeing. Let us explain and bring you to a new level of spiritual conciousness that will most likely change your current situation.

For those who seek to have children, and those that don’t, a monogamous relationship is usually deemed the most ideal unit from within which to procreate or simply to coexist with a partner. It represents stability, support and, bizarrely, social success of being in a relationship. The practice of monogamy has largely remained unquestioned in contemporary society. For even those of us that are more liberal-leaning, monogamy is still broadly considered sacrosanct. Polyamory is becoming more visible and accepted.

Criticizing bonnets being worn in public is NOT policing Black women. Although bonnets are a part of the culture, they are NOT a part of what makes us Black. But at what point do we have to call out conversations that keep being had about Black women in general? Can Black women just exist??

The crack epidemic destroyed the black family structure. It took the value away from the man and placed it in the woman’s hands. Black men fell into the traps of fast money and drug addiction, which left their counterparts no choice but to take advantage of government programs that rewarded black women for being single parents. In my eyes, determining the value of black men isn’t tangible. Statistics don’t tell much of the story and listening to rants on social media such as Twitter and Facebook can place misconceptions on black men. As a Black man, your value is determined by you and your family and no one else. What your wife and child need from you is your value. Most importantly, knowing that you are needed, is where your value lies.

While 74.3 percent of all White children below the age of 18 live with both parents, only 38.7 percent of African-American minors can say the same. Instead, more than one-third of all Black children in the United States under the age of 18 live with unmarried mothers—compared to 6.5 percent of White children. 57% of millennial parents had at least one child out of wedlock. 64% of millennial moms reported at least one birth out of wedlock and 40% of babies born in the United States were born to an unmarried mom. Let's indulge the various reasons why.

One of the most controversial questions about a relationship between a man and a woman is: can they ever really just be friends? If a man and a woman are friendly enough and like enough things about each other, then why can't they just date? What prevents them from getting romantic with each other? People often assume platonic friendships never succeed, especially if one of you “catches feelings” or misreads certain signals as signs of attraction. Sometimes platonic friendships do shift into romance.

Sometimes these movies and tv shows only highlight the negative Black experiences, and ignore the positive, which then places negative stereotypes on Black people that represent us as subordinates and consistently in pain and suffering. Many TikTok-ers have complained about these movies causing PTSD in the Black community. It also adds to the “White Savior” complex (e.g. Hidden Figures) which elevates the representation of White people who “assist” the black protagonists in these movies be relieved of their troubles and reach their freedom.

Relationships grow better when we understand each other and everyone gives and receives love differently, but with a little insight into these differences, we can be confidently equipped to communicate love well. This is true for all forms of relationship – for married or dating couples, for children and teenagers, for friends and coworkers, for long-distance relationships, for those brand-new loves and for the romances that are older than the hills. But do you practice them? Because relationships work best when partners’ primary love languages align—when individuals predominantly demonstrate their love in ways that their partners appreciate the most or when individuals go out of their way to speak their partner’s primary love language.

In a recent study, data showed that BLACK MEN have admitted to cheating more than any other race. ALSO, that most cheating happens after 35 years old. With more people over 65+ admitting to it! The data also shows, most participants grew up in a home without both of their parents and do not attend religious services that often. How is this correlated? Why are Black Men being chastised in the media and in private?
Do they deserve it? Is is just societal influences? Are Black Men really the weakest link? Let's discuss.

You’re in a relationship, situationship or entanglement. Suddenly, and maybe without any warning at all, your partner seems to have disappeared. No calls, no text messages, no connection made on social media, no responses to any of your messages. Odds are, your partner hasn’t unexpectedly left town because of a family emergency, and isn’t lying dead in a ditch somewhere but, rather, has simply ended the relationship without bothering to explain or even let you know. You’ve been ghosted.

When you’re not legally bound to another person, you have the freedom to learn, grow, and explore, without any of the guilt associated with taking time for self-care. And the payoff there is that if you do decide you'd like to pair off with someone, you know exactly who you are and what you want. The reality is, 110.6 million Americans ages 18 or older (or 45.2 percent) are single, according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau—a number that’s been rising since 2015. And people are staying single longer than ever before; in 2018, the highest median ages ever for a first marriage were reported: 30 years for men and 28 years for women. So why does everything somehow revolve around finding "the one?" and why does it seem like people are obsessive over finding love. Why isn't being single enough?

Victim blaming occurs when the victim of a crime or any wrongful act is held entirely or partially at fault for the harm that befell them. The study of victimology seeks to mitigate the prejudice against victims, and the perception that victims are in any way responsible for the actions of offenders. What we attempt to do, when victim blaming, is find a cause or a blame for the event happening which then makes the event somewhat controllable or avoidable and therefore enables us to protect ourselves from it. It suggests that if we think of a reason as to why a rape has been experienced by someone else, we could simply not do that one thing that caused it and we will be safe. The show 'Bridgerton' will also be discussed because a rape scene no one noticed was actually aired.

According to PubMed: It is estimated that autism spectrum disorders (ASD) affect 1 in 500 live births per year. However, due to varying techniques for diagnosis and treatment, the disability remains the subject of debate. African Americans tend to suffer disproportionate rates of disability and disease when compared to other racial and ethnic groups due to access to preventative and curative care. As a result, African American children may require longer and more intensive intervention.

Diaspora conflicts usually derive from perceived insults or disrespect from someone from a different ethnic group or nationality towards another group of African descendants from a differing ethnic or national background. Most conflicts are inflamed due to mass generalizations and stereotypes of a negative context applied to varying groups. These conflicts can range from feelings of cultural superiority, feelings of disunity or abandonment, and or feelings of disrespect. Many African Diaspora Conflicts derive from misunderstandings due to cultural perceptions and usage of language. So why are Africans and African Americans still fighting this invisible war? Our enemy is not each other; our enemy is always white supremacy, capitalism, colonialism, and imperialism.

When you think about the science behind why it matters if a guy was taller than you or not, there are likely evolutionary reasons women want to be shorter. For the survival of the species, men should be the hunters and women the gatherers. But, it isn’t just about bringing home dinner, it is about protecting their family. For the same evolutionary reason, men tend to like women shorter than them. Wanting to be the stronger sex because that is the way that the genders were designed, men usually seek out shorter women because they have a height advantage over them. It makes them feel more powerful. So does height matter? Only you can answer that question for yourself. If you love someone for who they are on the inside, it makes no difference how tall or short they are.

When you meet someone, they usually dont show their true colors for another 2-3 months because all the facade fades after 6-8 dates and you get to see who you might be spending the rest of your time with and if it is worth it. Whether you’re dating someone, adopting a dog or taking a new job, it takes three months to figure out what you’ve gotten yourself into. But do you have to wait that long to know for sure very single time? According to a CNN article: The first three months of knowing someone is a time of illusions. Instead of seeing the person objectively, you see them for who you want them to be. Your object of desire is laden with fantasies and projections. We think it takes about three months to strip away the layers and start to see this person for who they really are but you might not feel the same. Let's break it down.

From Jay-Z's album 4:44, the title of the episode was borrowed to shed light on IGP for discussions on why and how the Black community continues to create division amongst ourselves in various ways. From the FBI's Universal Crime Report in 2014; 90% of Black people killed were killed by other Black people. Black women are killed every 19 hours by a man. Black girls are being deprived of their innocence due to the over-sexualization of their existence. During the slave-era in the U.S., Black women were referred to as Jezebels. The term was used to suggest that Black women were innately promiscuous and sexually predatory. It was conceived that Black women had an insatiable appetite for sex, which slave owners used as a justification for rape. We will touch on a few current events as examples of the division created that further separate Black people from succeeding together.

Even if you don’t have children, the newness of the relationship wears off after 3 or 4 years together. Typically, this is when sex becomes more routine. “Intimacy breaks down at this stage because couples don’t talk about their sex life,” According to a John Hopkins Article: “Couples aren’t as intentional about connecting with each other as they were earlier in the relationship." Besides the age of a relationship, other factors can lead to less intimacy, too. Career and family pressures can take up your time and kill your energy. Relational resentments can develop over time as well. If you find yourself avoiding sex, you’re not alone: Approximately 1 in 10 women experiences a decrease in her sex drive at some point in her life. Let's break down some ways to please your partner whether you are having an adventurous sex life or a mildly boring one.

Nearly 1 in 5 women have experienced completed or attempted rape during her lifetime. 1 in 3 female rape victims experienced it for the first time between 11-17 years old. 1 in 8 female rape victims reported that it occurred before age 10. Nearly 1 in 38 men have experienced completed or attempted rape during his lifetime. About 1 in 4 male rape victims experienced it for the first time between 11-17 years old. About 1 in 4 male rape victims reported that it occurred before age 10. EX. Stealthing, Urban Dictionary describes it as "When a man removes condom during sex without his partners knowledge or consent. Legally considered a form of rape or sexual assault in some places. Considered a shitty thing to do everywhere else."

What is Church Hurt? The term, refers to the pain sometimes inflicted by religious institution — a pain that distances sufferers from their communities and from God. Every year, about 2.7 million church members drop from church membership. One of the main reasons is attributed I’m leaving as hurt and wounded victims after experiencing some form of abuse, disillusionment, or from feelings of abandonment and neglect. 23% Of Pastors Deal With Mental Illness...and 35% Of Americans Believe Bible Study Cures Mental Illness and that is not entirely true, especially if you are not religious so let's break it down with some facts and personal stories.

Children don't ask to come into the world. No one who has consensual sex is oblivious to how babies are made yet the statistic for single motherhood continue to climb up, especially in the Black community. MGTOW, Red Pill & SYSBM are acronyms for a group of men with mentalities that are anti-feminist, misogynistic, and mostly an online community advocating for men to separate themselves from women and from a society which they believe has been destroyed by feminism. To top it off, Senetor Tom Cotton of Arkansas stated that he wants to increase child support payments to the custodial parent. This led to a lot of men on Twitter (mostly Black) complaining about it being unfair. Let's discuss why this is such a problematic issue.

In a survey on love and finances conducted by Money and SurveyMonkey, a whopping 78% of respondents said they think men should pay for the first date. And, perhaps surprisingly, 85% of men were even more likely than women (at 72%) to think that men should foot the bill as well. Even after the first date, men tend to pick up the majority of expenses and report feeling guilty taking money from women. Should this be the normal dating etiquette??

According to WHO: Female genital mutilation (FGM) involves the partial or total removal of external female genitalia or other injury to the female genital organs for non-medical reasons. The practice has no health benefits for girls and women; FGM can cause severe bleeding and problems urinating, and later cysts, infections, as well as complications in childbirth and increased risk of newborn deaths. Even though male circumcision is considered by many as a form of genital mutilation, it cannot be evenly compared to FGM due to the heavier negative adverse events associated with FGM. The worst forms of female genital cutting are unquestionably worse than the usual form of Western male circumcision, but the worst forms of male circumcision are also far worse than the lesser forms of female cutting so its a long standing argument we won’t touch on today. Let's break down the history and facts on FGM and why its obviously problematic.

Feeling masculine or manly is part of a majority of men’s identities in 2018: When asked how masculine or “manly” they generally feel, 83 percent of men said they felt “very” or “somewhat” masculine. But many fewer, 53 percent, said it was very or somewhat important that others see them that way. A majority of men, 64 percent, said their father or a father figure was a source of their ideas about what it means to be a good man. Toxic masculinity vs Masculinity: Masculinity- Positively characterized as qualities that are; strong, community building, utilitarian, practical. It also suggests that men who act too emotional or maybe aren’t violent enough or don’t do all of the things that “real men” do, can get their “man card” taken away.

Has the word female replaces a bitch? Is it now derogatory like bitch? Why are so many women against it? Why are so many men not getting it? "Female" as a noun erases the subject—making "female" the subject of the sentence. In the most technical sense, it's correct, but by employing this word that is usually an adjective as a noun, you're reducing her whole personhood to the confines of that adjective. It's calling someone "a white" instead of a white person, or "a black" instead of a black person, and so on. "When you refer to a woman as a female, you're ignoring the fact that she is a female human, not an animal." But are we thinking too deep about this word? Let's ask our guest.

There is this mentality that when a man buys you a drink at the club, takes you on a date, or flies you out of state/country on a trip - sex is owed as a form of gratification or an unspoken payment from the woman in heterosexual relationships. Is this a mentality that a lot of men actually share or is this societal standards that's falsified and overhyped? Why do so many women complain about the pressure to have sex when a man pays for anything and why do so many men pressure women for sex or some type of sexual activity once they spend a little of money on a woman?

If all you date are women/men the shade of paperbags and women/men under 160 pounds, with no variety or history or attempt at even trying something outside of that box, can you still call that a simple preference of is it plain discriminatory? Being plus-sized creates an unwelcoming environment that reinforces the idea that bodies that don’t meet certain standards are undesirable. This issue can even extend to people with disabilities and how they may be treated when dating and in other institutions. So when does one cross the line from having a preference over into discrimination against everything and everyone else that does not fit within your box?

Urban Dictionary definition of Thot: It can stand for 'That Hoe Over There'; "A thot is usually active on social media especially instagram and Snapchat (and now only fans). On instagram she can be found in pictures of her in the dog filter and is usually half naked. On Snapchat she is most likely posting videos of her obnoxiously lip syncing to rap songs, while playing with her hair, thinking she looks like Kylie Jenner." These type of definitions have been associated with women who have chosen to publicly embrace their sexuality which makes them vulnerable to judgements and maltreatments, meanwhile these same actions exhibited have been welcomed in the hip-hop community amongst male rappers without much pushback. Let's touch on the double standards real quick and dissect some raunchy lyrics.

Acting White is one of the most negative accusations one Black adolescent can hurl at another. Embedded in ethnic/racial identity (ERI), acting White has nothing to do with wanting to be White and everything to do with what does it mean to be Black. This unknowingly is labeling Black vernacular as ghetto, unrefined and improper while labeling proper and clear English as cleaner, good and more acceptable. In popular culture, it is largely misunderstood, and thought of as "bad English," "ebonics" (originally coined in 1973 by someone with good intentions, from "ebony" and "phonics," but now starting to become a slur), "ghetto talk" (definitely a slur), and the "blaccent”. It's time to break the stereotype that sounding proper or speaking clearly is sounding "White."

Black women are the most imitated yet the most disrespected (e.g. white women’s surgical enhancements) and voluptuous features. Urban Dictionary defines Blackfishing as being commonly perpetrated by females of European descent (white) which involves artificial tanning (spray tanning and tanning booths) and using makeup to manipulate facial features in order to appear to have some type of Black African ancestry. The general point of blackfishing is for a female of European descent to appear of African, Arab, or Hispanic ancestry. Some consider it to be equivalent to modern day “black face” because it capitalizes off the looks of historically oppressed groups of people by people who come from more privileged backgrounds.

Why do female-male sexual interactions produce less sexual satisfaction and orgasms? Do women really do it better because we know how to please our bodies more? Why is the male orgasm reported as satisfactory more often than female orgasms and does this mean way too many men out there are more focused on having an orgasm more than pleasing the woman? Should we all become lesbians and give up on bad heterosexual sex? For women, the rates of orgasm recorded in various studies gives the following results: Just intercourse: 50 percent of the women reported orgasms; Hand massage and intercourse: 71 percent; Hand massage, cunnilingus, and intercourse: 86 percent. Let's break this down - this will be a harsh conversation so brace yourself.

Jordan Peele and Donald Glover are two men who have made strides in the entertainment industry showcasing Black experiences and allowing for audiences to view Black people in a different light than what we typically see in the media, yet they faced backlash from the Black community because they are married to white women....why do you think that is? Dating is notoriously difficult for Black women; in 2014, an OkCupid study found that Black women and Asian men get the least amount of matches, compared to other demographics. Research reveals that the more educated Black women are, the less we’re getting married. Black women with a college degree who are between the ages of 35-45, are 15% less likely to get married than White women. Is it problematic that there are Black people getting married to White people but still profiting from the Black community without repping it fully behind closed doors? Should more black women date more Interracially??

Why is it so hard for men to accept equality in the bedroom when it comes to sharing partners and why do women tend to have the shorter end of the stick when threesomes/trains come into play while the man gets pleasured by various women and its highly fetishized. Is it homophobia or just more heterosexual norms in play? if you are a heterosexual girl or young woman, you are damned if you don’t and damned if you do. If you refrain from any expression of sexiness, you may be written off as irrelevant and unfeminine. But if you follow the guidelines, you run the risk of being judged, shamed and policed. If you have orgies and threesomes and are in-tune with your sexuality, you are seen as a hoe, too many bodies or even dirty and not worthy of marriage. But a man can have various sexual partners or participate in a train, and still get the best pick to bring home to mom. Is it a form of slut shaming or just terrible double standards?

Why do Black women have to go above and beyond to prove our victimization when the perpetrator is a male or Black male specifically? Why is it treated as a joke like our lives don't matter?? About 22% of Black women in the United States have experienced rape and 40% will experience intimate partner violence in their lifetime. Black women are killed at a higher rate than any other group of women. If you consider the fact that Black women date & marry mostly within their race, you can gather that a vast majority of these acts are carried out by Black men.

Gaslighting is a manipulative technique used in order for one person to make the other question their perception of reality, and there are a variety that can used; it’s not limited to repetitive denial. It tends to happen gradually in a relationship between people, what starts off as little harmless discrepancies and indiscretions at first can quickly snowball into an abusive pattern that can lead the victim to feel anxious, isolated, unheard, and depressed.

Research has shown marijuana has its benefits and negatives and it causes less harm than liquor, yet, it is still criminalized in the country while liquor is legally sold on every corner. Problematic? Indeed! Marijuana is the most commonly used psychotropic drug in the United States, after alcohol and more than 11.8 million young adults reported marijuana use in the past year. Its use is more prevalent among men than women. About MJ: Indica, which originates from the Hindu Kush mountains of India, is believed to have a relaxing effect on the user. Sativa has a more energizing effect, while hybrid is a combination of the two. Lets break down some details about this drug, why it isn't legalized and our experiences with it (crazy story time at the end).

Warning The use of the "N-word" will be used for educational purposes during this episode so please listen with caution.
The word "ngger" carries with it much of the hatred and repulsion directed toward Africans and African Americans. Historically, ngger defined, limited, and mocked African Americans. It was a term of exclusion, a verbal justification for discrimination. Whether used as a noun, verb, or adjective, it reinforced the stereotype of the lazy, stupid, dirty, worthless parasite. “N*gga” is a word that is used 500,000 times a day on Twitter while “bro” and “dude” — two of the terms with which the n-word is synonymous to many people younger than 35 — are used 300,000 and 200,000 times, respectively which means not only Black people use this term, which brings up the concern if anyone should be using it at all.
A few definitions of the use of "Ngger:
N*ggerish, adj. Acting in an indolent and irresponsible manner.
N*ggerlover, n. Derogatory term aimed at whites lacking in the necessary loathing of blacks.
N*gger rich, adj, Deeply in debt but ostentatious.
N*gger stick, n. police officer's baton.
N*gger tip, n. leaving a small tip or no tip in a restaurant.

According to Quora.com: When slavery was abolished in the US, it somehow coincidentally (it was not a coincidence) happened that all the positions taken by freed black people somehow became tipped positions. This allowed white people in the South to basically not pay black people for their work while still pretending it was because the service was not up to par. Tipped positions are traditionally black position: waiter, bell-boy, porter, hotel maid. These people are paid extremely low base salaries and the rest of their pay is at the whim of the customer. And bringing Jim Crow into the modern day, it is still true that the lowest tips go to black and female workers in these positions.

Being an unmarried 30+ year old tends to be frowned upon by the society and there’s no real explanatory reason why but it causes a lot of young adults to feel rushed and sometimes make the wrong decision due to pressure. A lot of people are waiting to marry because they can’t afford it (or feel like they can’t afford it) due to wage stagnation. People now need more work experience to make the same wages, so they delay tying the knot.
Also, every 13 seconds, there is one divorce in America.
That equates to 277 divorces per hour, 6,646 divorces per day, 46,523 divorces per week, and 2,419,196 divorces per year. That means: There are 9 divorces in the time it takes for a couple to recite their wedding vows (2 minutes). 1,385 divorces happen during the average wedding reception (5 hours). There are 19,353,568 divorces over the course of an average first marriage that ends in divorce (8 years). Over a 40 year period, 67 percent of first marriages terminate. So why are you rushing us ??!

Have you ever felt you needed to date older because younger relationships were too immature?? Have you been given weird stares for not dating your age and treated differently? and why is it MORE okay when an older man is dating a younger partner than the other way around? According to statistics, the average age difference between partners has been between two and six years for quite some time. But the latest trends indicate that men and women are now choosing to embark on relationships with partners that are 15 to 25 years older or younger. Marriage records show that women are marrying men who are older than they are by about 3 years and its time to discuss what's "normal" and what isn't and why people tend to swing one way than the other.

Will and Jada sat down this week to break down "entanglements" in their marriage and the dating triangle that has now become public. Coincidentally Doyin and I had been discussing why dating someone a friend dated was such a taboo. Since when do we have claims on another persons decisions simply because we dated them? Does loyalty go as far as friends respecting that Exes are OFF LIMITS!? Should that Ex you dated be canceled for the entire friendship group simply because one person dated them? Find out where we both stand because its on opposite ends.

On July 4, 1776, the 13 colonies claimed their independence from England, an event which eventually led to the formation of the United States. Since the 19th century, abolitionists, suffragists and civil rights activists have seized the Fourth of July as an occasion to protest injustices sustained by those omitted from the founding fathers’ vision. In the 20th century, the civil rights movement and Vietnam war brought to light legacies of slavery, imperialism and sexism that continue to challenge the narrative of ‘life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness’.
Today, the potency of Black Lives Matter has established civil disobedience as an unwavering American tradition.

Black Wall Street was an affluent black-owned neighborhood in Tulsa, OK, where Black people residing there were considered wealthy even in today's economy, and although there were two airports, 6 families owned their own airplanes. The Tulsa Race Massacre that happened on Black Wall Street was an historical event where a wave of racial violence destroyed that flourishing and affluent African-American community, because they were seen as a threat to white-dominated American capitalism. This episode touches on the specifics of this history in honor of Juneteenth and the BLM movement.

There are stereotypes that black children born in a one parent household or to unmarried parents must be fatherless and the reality is having unmarried parents does not make a child fatherless. It is unfair to stigmatize black men as being the only men having challenges as fathers and to assume most black fathers get placed on child support for being less than supporting. Statistics show that close to 70% of all births to black mothers are out of wedlock, giving rise to the common stereotype that portrays black fathers as being largely absent from their families. Yet while black fathers are less likely to marry their child's mother, many continue to parent through cohabitation and visitation, providing caretaking, financial, and other forms support.

Some experts say communicating online before meeting IRL (that's In Real Life) can actually foster strong relationships by helping those with similar interests come together over great distances. Potential lovers overlook superficial turnoffs, and people open up to each other faster and more deeply. The Web has only made it easier to date online and we will break down the pros, cons and stats associated with dating blindly and dating online, and most times, both of these go hand in hand. Why is skin bleaching so popular amongst minorities? Why has Colorism or Shadeism dug deep into the world's view on beauty all stemming from Eurocentric beauty standards? Colorism is a huge disadvantage for darker-skinned people while it offers privilege to those with lighter skin. Research has linked colorism to lower incomes, lower marriage rates, longer prison terms, and fewer job prospects for darker-skinned people. This episode aims to increase your awareness of colorism by learning about the practice and its historical roots, the celebrities who’ve experienced it and how changing beauty standards might help us fight the discrimination being experienced.
Theres an Old Rhyme on skin colors/shades:
“If you’re black, stay back;
If you’re brown, stick around;
If you’re yellow, you’re mellow;
If you’re white, you’re all right.”

Have you ever had someone touch your hair without your permission? Ever had someone joke about how messy or rough your natural curls are? Have you been asked to shave, trim or remove a hairstyle because it was seen as unprofessional, messy, or unkept? You are not alone. Recently California and New York become the first states to ban discrimination on natural hair that disproportionately affects people of color; especially black people. This includes bans on certain styles, such as Afros, braids, twists, cornrows and locs. Join us as we dig deep into the many reasons why this law was needed in the first place and how we feel about the weaponizing of our natural hair.

Women have been hyper-sexualized as early as the 1400s and Black women have been overly sexualized dating backwards to slavery. Why is this? Why are women seen as properties and not individuals? Why are Black women and other minorities seen as less "womanly" and more objectified than other races. Why do harassed, assaulted and raped women find it difficult to come forward and report these cases when hyper-sexualized in such a traumatic way? Join us this episode as we get deep into the facts and bring you up to date with the current DMV-rape Twitter page scandal Feat. Vanessa [Founder of Wribrand].
