In this episode of the CrossFit Oakland Podcast, Mike and Ben interview Adrian Bozman.  Many of you may know Adrian as the stern-faced Head Judge of the CrossFit Games. Or perhaps, if you go back a little further in CrossFit lore, as the gentleman who invented the “No Rep."  Adrian is far more than just a Head Judge, though. He serves a larger role within the world of CrossFit training and continues to help develop the best CrossFit coaches in the world.

We also explore Adrian’s origin story with CrossFit and how Mike and he met all those years ago (remember that Mike is very old...)!  There are a ton of little takeaways and thoughts that Adrian shares regarding how CrossFit and a consistent physical practice has bettered his life and the lives of those around him. We also talk about the development of the “Tuxedo Social Club” and how it continues to improve his fitness.

Give it a listen and let us know what you think!

Joe Pasqualriello stands as one of the longest-tenured members of CrossFit Oakland. Over that time period, even at 5 foot 6 and a HALF inches, Joe has become someone everyone looks up to in the gym. Whether it is his contagious smile, consistent and perfectly-timed jokes, or the best warm-up dance moves around, Joe is always bringing an upbeat spirit to CFO classes. But don’t let the dance moves fool you. Joe is all business when it comes to fitness and strength training. This brilliant combination helps make Joe a bright spot in every class.

Joe has been CrossFitting since back when Mike was young, for almost 14 years now! Over those years he has achieved numerous PRs, pushed through workouts he never thought he could, and done more burpees than can be counted. In the episode, we delve into all of Joe’s fitness endeavors and feats!

We also discuss what Joe does for a living and for fun outside the gym. Joe is incredibly passionate about renewable energy sources. So passionate, in fact, that he started and has run his own business for over 25 years! Fenway Systems keeps those giant wind turbines moving and harnessing the power we all love to use. Also, Joe talks a little bit about his love for Boston sports teams, but we won’t judge him for that.

Either way, you are in for a treat as Joe, Mike and Ben talk through numerous fun stories and memories. Give it a listen and next time you see Joe, give him a big high five!
