When the Lord calls us to faith, what happens to our heart? He begins to change it. Our lives reflect what is in our heart. When we allow Christ to mold us, we become more like Him. This process isn't comfortable or easy, but it is well worth it. God changes our heart through His grace which gives us strength to follow Him. It's not a one time event but a daily renewing of our minds. Jesus is constantly pleading our cause so we need to do our part to repent and allow ourselves to be transformed.

There again, many believe, but they are forced to leave because of the threats of a mob that disagreed with them. This mob consisted of both Jews and Gentiles. Now they are continuing down the road to witness to Lystra and Derbe. What will await them here?

Sometimes we don’t recognize that Jesus has joined us on our walk. We are so focused on ourselves that we can’t see that Jesus has intervened. Even on His way the the cross, the main focus of Jesus was on our hearts. A hardened hart lacks compassion for others because compassion may be seen as a sign of weakness. But what did Jesus say? He had compassion on the crowds because they were like a sheep without a shepherd.

How do our hearts respond to who Jesus is? Not everyone responds the same. Some will come but others will push Jesus away. As a believer, we have great hope in the name of Jesus.

Sin does not have dominion over us because we can walk in the newness of life.
