Amy shared a set of questions for further reflection on this topic:
Are we open to God acting in ways we dont expect? Are we okay with changing the way we do things to respond to the new movement of the Spirit? Are we listening for God to speak in prayer and Scripture? Do we love each other? Do we actively seek and practice forgiveness? Do we have hope? Are we okay with admitting our limits? Do we trust that God will make up the difference when we fall short?

During the season of Easter this year we will have a number of folks from our community share stories of redemption: every day stories in their lives where they see Jesus' redemption at work. Starting this week we will also be following the lectionary passages. This week:

Jake shares our Easter Sunday sermon. He focuses his sermon on our practice of greening the cross, including:
what is the symbol of the cross and what does it mean? what does greening the cross mean in the context of telling the story of Jesus' resurrection? how can we connect this practice to our particular neighbourhood?
Christ is Risen!
Todays podcast is for Good Friday. On this day we remember the trial, crucifixion, and death of our Lord Jesus. This podcast will follow a different format from previous podcasts in this series. We will meditate on the cross of Christ by using four (4) movements, with each offering a window to the work of Christ leading up to and on the cross. Each movement will follow the same rhythm:
a chime will indicate the beginning of the movement; a refrain of Behold will orient us to the scripture reading to follow; there will be a time of spoken prayer, with silence woven in for your own prayer and contemplation; we will end the movement in continued prayer through a song.
We invite you to take a moment and gather some paper and drawing/writing utensils to be used during the third movement. We also invite you to light a candle as a representation of the light and life of Christ.

During this sacred week, we will host three podcastsone for Palm Sunday, one for Holy Wednesday, and one for Good Friday. Todays podcast is for Palm Sunday, which commemorates Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, and we will hear a reflection on Mark 11:1-11 by Gerry Schoberg, a Grandview Scattered Seed in Courtenay, BC.
