In this episode of the Going Dutch podcast, host Randa Stratton-Dutcher interviews Jeff Vukobratovich, a former gym owner turned real estate entrepreneur. Jeff reflects on his journey from building a fitness community through his gyms to transitioning into real estate after feeling burnt out. He emphasizes the importance of balancing personal development, family, and professional aspirations. Jeff shares insights about the value of resilience, cultivating meaningful relationships, and staying committed to routines that support physical and mental well-being. He also discusses his ongoing mission to inspire others through a forthcoming life coaching program, encouraging authenticity and incremental growth in overcoming challenges.
Jeff Vukobratovich is a 39-year-old Arizona native born and raised in Gilbert and currently residing in Queen Creek. I'm happily married to my incredible wife, Jessica, and am the proud father of two daughters, aged 4 and 8. For over a decade, I've been deeply involved in the fitness industry, owning two gyms from 2010 to 2022. My passion for fitness coaching eventually intersected with the world of real estate in 2020. In April 2022, I made the strategic decision to sell my gyms and pivot entirely to real estate. Today, along with my two partners, I am on a mission to revolutionize the real estate market. But my interests don't stop there; I am also devoted to personal development, life hacking, and helping others unlock their full potential. Along with balancing my career ambitions, I place a high emphasis on family, aiming to raise two strong, educated women and build the healthiest marriage possible. I'm also in the early stages of developing a life coaching program, with more details to come at the beginning of next year. Consistency and the laws of the universe are like the unbreakable rules that govern everything around us. Picture them as the bossy bosses of the universe, telling everything how to behave. These laws are like invisible threads that hold everything together and make sure everything follows a predictable pattern. From the way planets twirl around stars to the tiniest atoms buzzing around, everything sticks to these rules. Think of it like a giant cosmic dance where everyone knows their moves! Because of these dependable laws, we can make sense of how things work and trust that they'll continue to work that way. So, if you drop an apple today, you can bet it'll fall again tomorrow! Consistency and laws of the universe make the universe an organized and reliable place to live.

GOING DUTCH PODCAST EPISODE 53: RANDOM RANDA THOUGHTS
God often presents us with small experiences that may seem insignificant at the time. However, these experiences serve as building blocks, teaching us important lessons, connecting us with influential people, and shaping our character. They prepare us for greater accomplishments in the future, revealing the purpose behind each step of our journey. By recognizing and embracing these little experiences, we can fulfill our larger calling with trust in God's guidance.
Thoughts on Moses.
I started singing in church at 3 years old.
Acknowledge those who make a difference.
Be aware that you never know when someone is speaking bad or good of you.
If someone has offended you, let it go.
It’s not “what is wrong with you, it’s “who” is wrong with you?”

Our guest on this episode of Going Dutch is Dawn Schoenbein. Dawn is an amazing, accomplished, and kind friend as well as a client. Dawn has little sub-communities all over the world. She may not be in close communication with these people all the time, but whenever they connect again, the bond is strong. What Dawn finds has made all the difference is the experiences they shared while they were in the same place.
Going through unique experiences, challenges, or times of growth with another person can create a solid bond that lasts through distance and time. Being honest, real, and present when you are together again helps maintain this.
One of Dawn’s greatest strengths is her ability to absorb, understand, and reshare information in a way that’s easy to understand. Her ability to practice non-judgment makes her easy to talk to. When you feel comfortable sharing, it helps build connections between women that feel safe.
Dawn has been to all of my retreats. When she first went, she was not in the best place with her relationship with Christ. She wasn’t connecting with Him the way she wanted to. Through the tools she learned, she was able to find and build this connection in a more authentic way.
Our connections with God and our savior are also safe spaces and relationships we can build on. You can say anything—there is no judgment from your divine team. When you show up to do the work, they are ready. The time and energy you spend deepening this connection will change your essence in so many amazing ways.

The other day, I had an incredible download about where I want to go, who I want to be, and the results I want to have. This led me to reflect on how that version of me would manage my day. One thought that stood out was this: I need to stay in the cold plunge longer.
A cold plunge truly helps me reset. The longer I stay in, the greater the shift I feel. It’s one of my favorite tools to use. It’s a reminder that we all need to find a zone of discomfort and stay in it—whatever that looks like for you.
Breathwork is also an effective tool for helping shift your physiology and mindset too. I use breathwork in the cold plunge at the beginning, and then I follow that up with a prayer and a song. But if you think about it, the prayer and singing are unique forms of breathing too.
If you feel stuck, breathwork is something that could be impactful for you. Once you’ve tried it, ask yourself: What is the message? Your message may come in words, colors, pictures, or even a smell. That is your message for the day.
This is one great way to start your way with intention. You start in creation so that you can start moving towards the goals you want. If you find an obstacle coming up, I can help you with that inside my coaching practice. We can discover the root of what’s going on so you can get unstuck and start living the way you want.

Today’s episode is part 2 of What Makes You Great. This conversation stemmed from a phrase my grandpa Glen Stratton always said: “Don’t forget how great you is.” This is something that has always stuck with me. At times when you need to tap into your strength, remember that your greatness is something that fulfills you, gives you confidence, and allows you to live up to your talents and gifts.
What are you compromising on that’s keeping you from being great? Here’s a personal example: I love having fake nails, but I can’t play the instruments I love to play when I have them, so they are keeping me from my greatness. This is a simple example, but you get the idea.
For you, this might be diet and exercise keeping you from being your physical best. Or it could be self-sabotage habits that keep you from your own emotional well-being. It could be a toxic relationship that drains you rather than serves you.
What is it that you’re truly great at? What have you said “yes” to that your heart was a “no” for? These insights can help you figure out not only what makes you great, but how to allow yourself to embrace your greatness.
Each and every one of us has our own unique gifts and abilities, and embracing this allows us to coexist in a beautiful way. You’re in your light and truth, and so are others. God made us this way. He wants us to be great, and that is worth celebrating.

Welcome back to another episode. This month is mental health awareness month, which is the focus of today’s episode. Trigger warning: This episode discusses suicide and trauma.
I’m back in therapy, and in that space, I’ve been exploring shame. I never thought shame was such a culprit in my life until I started doing this work with my friend Joyce. What it’s revealed to me is that shame has been both a hindrance and a blessing in my life—and I’m ready to be done with it.
I have used shame as a method of control to be a better mom, better partner, and more. But it’s a lie. I don’t need to shame myself to have control. The shame game is real, but I’m so thankful for the support I’m receiving right now.
In high school, I went through major depression and was first confronted with suicidal thoughts. I would often use food as a coping mechanism. I was baking all the time and I felt really lonely. I had relationships, but they were all surface relationships. I never made any attempts, but I often had and expressed the dark thoughts I was having.
As time went on, I got married and had kids, and I spent a lot of time just making my family a priority. I spent a lot of time doing, and not a lot of time being. There were some difficult years throughout my fifth pregnancy where those thoughts came up again, but after the birth, I became committed to my healing.
You deserve healing too, whatever that looks like for you. Just taking a step in that direction is a big deal. Grounding every day keeps the darkness away. It recalibrates you into power and possibility. The door out of your worst moments is through your gifts and purpose.

Today we’re joined by special guest Jason Mow, who is the author of four books—three in historical fiction and another as an autobiography. He’s a retired first responder and a very strong person. He is also an incredible speaker who knows how to tell stories that will touch your heart.
How can you put yourself out there and feel comfortable with self-promotion? This isn’t something that came naturally to Jason. Early in life, he felt drawn to running toward chaos—which led him to become a soldier and police officer. But when this was taken away from him after being wounded, he had to rediscover who he was.
As a result, he began sharing his inspiring story with others. He wanted to reach more people, and the biggest obstacle he had towards promoting himself was simply taking the first step. Just starting is often the most difficult part of the process.
For Jason, going on his first date after divorce was scary. Hugging a woman that was not his wife after 20 years was scary, too. Still, he knew that if he wanted to grow, he had to be willing to take that step. This is true in so many aspects of life; any area where you are approaching the unknown.
You need to have the will to take that first step and be able to accept whatever consequences come of it. Throughout our lives, we have been telling ourselves what we can’t do. We’ve been training ourselves to fail. We have to reprogram our thoughts and our input so we can override the natural tendency to hold ourselves back.

In this episode, I pose the internal question of "Where to next?". In a moment of not knowing what was coming next, I recorded this vulnerable podcast.
Being in business takes time and money. Publishing this podcast, publishing books, websites, etc all cost money! Is it worth it? Do I keep going? Listen in as I work through it in real-time.
We don't always have to know what is ten steps ahead. We can plan and have dreams. And sometimes it seems futile. God is there waiting for us to keep striving. He will meet us where we are at.

My husband Aaron Dutcher is back on the podcast again on this episode. We have some things in motion right now, but the path is not clear yet. I am a “gather ideas and then throw them at the wall and see what sticks” person, but I also get analysis paralysis. It's an interesting dichotomy. Still, we are planning on melding some cool ideas together and it’s exciting.
A few months ago, we found ourselves busier than we’d been in so long. There were breakdowns on both sides, and as we went through that, we took turns carrying each other. That’s what a good partnership is.
I recently expressed where I am in my journey in a particular area to someone. I didn’t feel judgment in sharing what I said, but I felt sadness. It made me realize when you share your growth and the other person isn’t on the same path, it can be difficult for them to honor you.
When you are leaning into your vision or goal, you tend to stay in your own lane. It doesn’t matter what anyone else is doing or saying. I’m in my partnership with God, and I can persevere. When you’re up to good things, that’s your focus.
A sign you might not be staying in your lane is jealousy. Another is feeling like you need to be busy. It’s not a light and truth experience, and when control and jealousy come up for me, I know I’m not collaborating with God. I have left the building, and it’s time to get back on my path.

This time I’m here in the studio with Hollie Warnick, and we decided to take a little time to hit record. Hollie is an author who created a dream journal, a podcaster, and a mom of four. She’s also a fun, playful person who exudes vibrancy. She’s felt free to let that authentic part of herself out more and more over the years.
If you haven’t read “Healing Through Broken Relationships” yet, I highly recommend it—and not just because I collaborated on it. These stories are phenomenal. It’s so significant and moving to hear the stories right from the people who experienced them. It really highlights various types of relationships too.
Recently I’ve noticed a validity to consistency. Actually, this was highlighted by my husband who noted that I didn’t crash before a recent podcast. When you keep at something, it helps you expand outside what you’re used to. It helps you get out of your own box.
Hollie is right in it with me. She also sees the excitement of being on the edge; the precipice of what’s next. When she’s at the Grand Canyon, she gets this sense she wants to jump off and fly (but promises that she always remembers gravity isn’t on her side). There’s a sense that with this expansion comes a proliferating love and joy.
It’s gravity versus freedom versus movement. They can all exist at once. What’s most interesting is that when we are expanding into a new space, we don’t even know what’s there yet. I know what I don’t know, but in this transformative space, you can ask to be shown.

Keira Brinton joins as a guest today on this episode of Going Dutch. We had just recorded her chapter in our upcoming book. Keira is a newly divorced mother with five kids and also runs a business. At times, she doubts she will be able to do it all: raise five kids, be present in their lives, and do the work she feels called to do.
For her, every day is a day of crazy, ferocious risk. She’s jumping and trusting God will be there. She’s been purposefully making changes that fit the vibration she wants, and has decided to approach life unafraid and demand what she is willing to work for.
Making change feels risky, but it’s important to stay in a space where you feel uncomfortable if you want to grow. For Keira, she keeps pushing that edge. The more risk she takes, the more comfortable she gets. She has to keep pushing herself for more.
No matter what, you have to follow what you feel called to do. Creations decay in the body, so you have to get them out. What you feel called to do has the capacity to help so many people. Putting parameters and dates on your results will help you realize your goals.
Keira has an event coming up called Activate the Creator. Anybody who’s a creator—content creator, podcast host, entrepreneur—can have their magic unlocked at this event. You will also be given space to create while being supported by a breathwork facilitator. It’s going to be very activating and inspiring.
Randa has opened up the Shine Bright Momentum Masterimind “SHABOOM”, a four month instensive coaching program. Group and individual coaching and a retreat at the end to seal up all that you’ll learn and celebrate all of your growth!

My guest today is Gina Trimmer from Revitalized Womanhood. She is going to talk to us about how Revitalized Womanhood began, helping women find their vision, and what it’s like to create a community.
Gina’s journey started a long time ago. Even as a young girl, she was creating visions of her future with her friends. Now she realizes the full circle connection between what she does now and her youthful dreams. Family life got in the way for a while, but Gina soon found her purpose in leading this movement for women.
The idea came in June, and it was already growing by the end of that month. Her podcast began in August with the official community launching in October. While the growth is exciting, there is also sadness in losing the one-on-one connections a small community has forged.
We are all together in this life, and that is what Revitalized Womanhood is based on. A community you can go to and share your life, goals, and dreams without judgment. There is accountability, support, and safety, but there is also reflection and evaluation. Women can do hard things. It is time for the victim mentality to be left behind.
Each day, take a tiny bite. Move closer to your goal one piece at a time, and ask yourself if what you are doing is moving you toward your goal. Always check in with yourself. You don’t have to be a put-upon woman. You can follow your passions. You do not have to do every little thing in your home. Teach your kids how to handle things. Level up yourself and those around you. Be you, love you.

Today I want to talk about breaking down perceptions and telling the future. You can’t possibly know what the outcome of something will be, so don’t fall into that trap. You have the ability to change the end result. Life isn’t a foregone conclusion.
In life, you have an almost certain future. It means that you are stuck in a self-fulfilling prophecy if you always think you know what will happen based on the past. You create the experiences over and over.
Recently I had a breakdown, believing I knew how something was going to go. I retreated into the darkness and stopped using the tools I know to work for me. I went down the rabbit hole of why. Why am I doing this? Why am I here? I took some time to work on myself. Was this feeling purely emotional? Was it a self-fulfilling prophecy? Was it something physical? In truth, it was everything.
I tried some supplements that helped to pull me out of the blackest depths. I went on a girls’ weekend to the Unstoppable Biz Conference. I was still in the midst of the darkness, but I realized that there is a part of me that doesn’t know how to communicate my needs. Instead, I hid in shame, dishonesty, and fear.
Continuing to live in that space is contradictory to everything I believe. I believe in God, the Heavenly Mother, and Christ. I believe in atonement. I am here today to ask you, is there something you are holding on to? Let it go. There is nothing you can do to change the past.
At the end of this episode, I share my morning song using my sound bowl. I hope it will bring you rest and peace as you listen.

Today I am joined by my husband Aaron and also Brock Bevell from Victory Recovery. Together, we’ll discuss Brocks’ mission and recovery from addiction and how it has deepened his relationship with God.
Brock was a police officer before being injured in the line of duty. That was the real turning point for him, as it fuelled his addiction and opioids began to run his life. Ten years later, Brock has been through detox and is now using his experiences to help others by running treatment centers. He is now running a counseling center with a fellow former addict.
Following his experiences, his relationship with God has deepened. The renewed personal connection with God is what fuels him to this day. At the heart of our relationship with God is that He wants us to rely on Him. No matter the trials and suffering, He wants our hearts and our trust.
Aaron shares his experience of self-medicating with alcohol and explains how it helped him find a deeper relationship with Christ. Instead of hiding away, Aaron now shares his struggles with others to help them in a similar way to Brock. Brock believes deeply in authenticity and only started to heal when he shared his story. Remember that we are only as sick as our secrets.
Deceit and lies were a part of Brock’s life for a long time. From pornography addiction to his opioid addiction, lies were what fed the habits. Bringing it out into the open was what took away its power. It may not be a message everyone wants to hear, but to heal you need to preach it.

My amazing friend and colleague Jennifer Nielson is on the show today. Jennifer travels the world doing wonderful things for women, helping them to heal.
Starting her journey couldn’t begin until she had found her healing. She was looking for peace and clarity in her own life and also had an interest in social psychology. Now, Jennifer has a degree in psychology, healing, and energy work. Using her experiences, she is working to help other women find their peace while always working on herself. Healing is a daily practice.
Jennifer is a person that goes full steam ahead into whatever she says yes to. For those that have trouble getting started on their journey, Jennifer explains that you have to understand the cost of success and do the work. There’s no free lunch. As a survivor of abuse, Jennifer has spent her life being resolute and working towards what is right. Life is about choices, and once she knows what needs to be done, even if it’s uncomfortable, she heads towards it.
Embracing the discomfort and pushing through is the only way to move toward growth. No one has a perfect upbringing, and we aren’t responsible for the programming we receive as children. We are responsible for our adult selves and deconstructing who we were and who we want to be.
As an energy healer and coach, Jennifer not only does one-on-one work with clients, but also runs retreats with the goal of giving women the tools they need to be emotionally independent and resilient. If we aren’t taught how to heal ourselves, we will always be dependent on others.

GOING DUTCH PODCAST EPISODE 38: More On Connection
I’m coming to you on an imperfect morning to be real and vulnerable from a space I love to sit in when I’m at my Dad’s in the summer.
First, I really want to share all of the beautiful things I see, hear, and feel: the sound of tractors and crickets to the smell of alfalfa. The smells and sounds from the horses and cattle from a couple of fields away. It feels so good in my soul.
The last few days have been a struggle. As I’ve been promoting the upcoming Connection is the Cure event for mental health awareness and suicide, a lot of darkness has come up for me. This conversation is important, and I thought perhaps my struggle might be similar to your struggle. Last night felt like a culmination of this stress as I created an argument with my husband.
Relationships need work and care. They require thought, intention, and showing up to assist your partner in being the best they can be. When I shut down, our connection is muted and paused.
When I am connected to the divine and to God, I’m more deeply connected to my husband. When I do activities I love, follow my purpose, and ride horses, my relationships are better. When we connect to our heart, that is the cure. It’s vital to the health of our souls.
Friendly reminder you’re still invited to the free Connection is the Cure event in Mesa. Being involved in work that assists other people has the power to pull us all through a lot. I also welcome you to reach out if you’re interested in a coaching session, healing session, or if you’d like to be a co-author on our upcoming book.

GOING DUTCH PODCAST EPISODE 37: Connection Is The Cure With September Frogley, Founder.
She's a woman who rose from the ashes of brokenness to share something magical with the world.
September is the oldest of three siblings. Her middle brother, an amazing light in this world, faced a lot of darkness in his life. He dealt with anxiety, depression, and turned to addiction to drugs and alcohol. In the last year of his life, the drugs induced a state of schizophrenia that would not leave him, even in sobriety.
In May 2021, her brother committed suicide. Her family struggled greatly with this loss. Following this tragic event, September felt compelled to tell his story to help relieve suffering in the world. This led to her family creating Connection is the Cure, a space where mental health, addiction, and suicide are all open for discussion.
When someone is deep into addiction, that addiction becomes the most important thing in their life. On the outside, it’s so easy to say “just stop”, but there needs to be consideration for the fact that their brain has changed. It’s not as easy to come out of addiction as you might think.
At the core of resolving these issues is prevention—for both addiction and suicide. You can learn more and join the cause at September’s upcoming event in Mesa, AZ with Brock Bevell and Ben Fuller. It’s a totally free event. You can also support Connection is the Cure by following them on social and sharing their posts to get the word out. If you feel like all is lost, just keep putting one foot in front of the other. There is hope.

GOING DUTCH PODCAST EPISODE 36: The National Anthem, A Spiritual Experience.
OH SAY CAN YOU SEE? This question coupled with music is the first line that grabs your attention in The National Anthem. Can you picture it? Francis Scott Key, watching from a ship. He's asking you to envision the picture he's about to paint of his experience on September 13/14, 1814, in The Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. The National Anthem is truly my favorite song. Originally a poem, written after a difficult experience the writer, Francis Scott Key, endured. Before I sing the national anthem, I always take a moment to pray that as I sing every word, those in the audience will feel the experience of Francis Scott Key. I hope to remind the audience what a great place America truly is. My Fourth of July tradition of singing The National Anthem, attending rodeo, talking about freedom, and discussing our ancestors are close to my heart. As you listen to this episode, I've added my rendition of this song to the end. It is my hope that wherever you are on Independence Day, you'll stop and take a moment to listen to this song. Have gratitude in your heart and focus on the blessings of Freedom and the message of hope that even after a great battle, GREAT things still stand! The Flag was still there. Let it wave o'er the land of the FREE And the home of the BRAVE Join me on Instagram: @perfectlyimperfectranda.

Today I am joined by Amy Hill, my good friend who is the embodiment of a warm hug. Amy lives in Colorado. Amy is here with me to talk about her spiritual journey and her upcoming book “Angels Speak”. Amy started a journey 6 years ago when she tapped into Muscle Testing Academy. For a year, she had felt the pull, but the logistics of it were keeping her away. After reading “The Answer to How is Yes,” she took the plunge and realized it was where she was supposed to be. Since then, Amy has begun doing energy work and muscle testing for people and, with the pandemic, she has been able to do her work over zoom.
The puzzle pieces continue to fall into place as Amy walks her spiritual journey. God gives us enough to handle. It’s hard sometimes not to fall into resistance to change and growth. Now, Amy has a book, titled “The Littles,” coming out that shares the message of angels. She was inspired by her grandchildren and the message she wanted to give and guide them.
The book incorporates all the little things you do and how angels can be there to support and lift you in times of need. All her grandchildren have also become involved by creating art and illustrations for the book.
For parents and grandparents out there, Amy wants you to let your grandchildren and children know that you are real. Keep a connection alive and get creative with how you connect. Technology allows us to get creative.
For listeners, Amy is offering a free 15-minute energy healing session over zoom.

My link tree for ALL the things
Today, I’m talking about the Kentucky Derby and what the experience led me to reflect upon.
It took place just a month before recording this episode and it was amazing. I watched it over and over again, and it made me think about coming in last. Not just on the track, but in life. This gave me pause as I reflected on when I feel alone, and how God has shown me that I am never alone nor beyond hope.
The last-seeded horse, “Rich Strike” and jockey, “Sonny Leon”, won the derby this year. Every time he passed another team, it seemed like he would get stuck, but he never did. Every small opportunity was seized by this team, and they beat the odds 80:1. I wonder, if he had been seeded first, would the result have been the same?
During the times in my life when I have been beaten down and said yes anyway, God has given me the guts and gumption to try that much harder, trusting I will keep going for as long as the race is. God puts me in the perfect position to make a difference in this race, giving me everything I need to cross the finish line.
You don’t have to be in the race all the time, but when you are, you have to allow God to take the reins. He will move us through whatever opportunity we’ve been given. He has us at every turn, through all of the weather, and through all the breakdowns. His miracles will come. Say yes and give the reins up. Together, you will create joy, peace, happiness, and things will move in your life.

In this episode, I’m joined by my favorite guest, my husband, to talk about the ups and downs of our relationship. Since we’ve been married and remarried, we have a few anniversaries around the holidays. We choose to celebrate each year in May, which is the anniversary of our first kiss. We were just teens when we met at a graduation party, and now we’ve officially been kissing for 27 years. We’ve taken the 27 years of gained experience, knowledge, and time taken figuring it out together and poured it into our book. When we talk to people about what has worked in our relationship or are offering advice, what stands out is that people really want hope. A little hope goes a long way.
There was so much we didn’t yet understand during our first marriage. The second time around, we’ve been able to put together what support means to each of us. What it really boils down to is understanding the unique needs of your partner and communicating about them openly.
The idea of falling out of love needs to be reframed. Even in difficult times, the depth of love may lessen, but you can never really fall out of it. This is especially true when you’ve had kids together. If you feel like you’re falling out of love, what you might actually be missing is a connection to The Divine. This can be an anchor to facilitate a greater connection to your partner.
A relationship is a living, breathing organism, and it takes effort to maintain. Acknowledging where you may have more masculine or feminine energy, no matter what your role in the partnership is, can also help you navigate your differences. It’s not about being perfect. You will squabble, but you can learn to figure it out.

Dana Parker is an intuitive life coach who has a true gift with words, as you’ll hear in this episode. She is certified in hypnotherapy, sound healing, and energy healing. She’s passionate about gaining the tools needed for her own healing journey and has been teaching personal development for over a decade, elevating the level of feminine voices everywhere she goes.
We discuss how the way we speak to ourselves matters. I’ve often described myself as “little Randa,” and while this might be true for my physical self, these words do not describe all I am capable of in this world. It’s okay to take up space; to be big and be bold. Women share a common experience of judging their bodies, regardless of what they look like.
It’s important to address and challenge the unhelpful thoughts we have about our bodies. Dana does not believe body love means loving your body every day. It’s simply acknowledging the difference between truth and stories. Loving your body is a choice, and it takes work. It’s about embracing all your body does for you, even in small ways.
We all go through times of struggle, and Dana shares tips on getting through it in a healthy way. Allowing yourself to just be, even for a few minutes, can help you navigate a difficult transition. Moms tend to struggle taking alone time, but alone time is vital to showing up as the mom you want to be.
All emotions are acceptable, and what you do with them matters. As a woman, you don’t have to hold in your anger or not say how you feel. Being accountable for your emotions and working through them in the moment will improve your relationships with the people you love the most. Meeting yourself with self-compassion will have a positive ripple effect in your life.

Do you invite the divine to bring light and life to your life and purpose?
I’m so excited to share that I’ve finished my children’s book, and I’m more than halfway through writing my book about love and marriage. Also, I have an upcoming mastermind, called Shine Bright. This masterclass is about reigniting the light within you that has hidden your gifts or made your purpose feel impossible. It runs from June 1-August 31, 2022. This will be a small group so DM me ASAP to see if this is a fit for you!
I’m doing this mastermind because when I woke up to my gifts during my divorce, it afforded me the time and space to weed out my fears, hone in on my gifts, and heal. When we as women say yes to our gifts, our relationships and our families heal.
Recently, in a space of healing, I saw my heavenly mother. If you’re thinking it’s weird, maybe it is. But before you judge me, hear me out. I saw her as a sacred spider in a divine web, tapping different paths and activating creations—bringing light and divinity to these creations. Spiders are patient. They don’t pursue prey or scavenge. All that they need is brought to them. In the web of life, we can allow the divine to activate our creations in a way that helps us bring them to the world.
How can you lead a legacy, and what is your legacy? I asked God these same questions, and the message I received was to start by supporting the next generation in realizing their dreams. I’ve been shown, one step after another, how the bigger picture becomes clearer.
Slowly, we learn we’re being prepared for bigger and better things, with God as our collaborator and partner. It would be short-sighted to not invite God, our divine mother, and our angels, into everything we do if we want to make a big impact.
Message me to apply for The Shine Bright Mastermind beginning June 1.

Today I’m chatting with guest Joyce Brinton, an energy healer. She teaches vision board classes, does muscle testing, and is also a mom of four. Joyce and her husband put on amazing classes together, which is where Joyce helped me step into and experience the gift of joy and fulfillment.
In 2011, Joyce’s oldest was going to college, and she felt like she had lost her purpose. She herself had an educational background in psychology, but never pursued a career while raising her kids full-time. Unsure what to do next, she decided to create a vision board. She wrote she would travel on a mission to empower women and help them use their voice, but she didn’t actually know how this would ever come to be.
Six months later, Joyce was given the opportunity to travel to China for five weeks to teach a course on empowering women to use their voice—just as she’d written on her board. Between getting her passport and being away from home for five weeks, this was a challenging experience for her. At the same time, it taught Joyce how to say yes to life.
Joyce shares more about her experiences with energy healing and muscle testing, including how she’s found this power in her own life. When you begin a session with Joyce, the first thing she’ll ask is “what’s disturbing your peace?” The reason is because no matter the scale, it’s disturbing you.
If Joyce could leave the audience with anything today, she would say listen to what your heart is telling you to do, because it knows the direction to take you. For some, this is a new concept. We’re so used to listening to our thoughts that we forget to drop down into our hearts. Take a deep breath, ground yourself, and listen.

In today’s episode, I’m sharing what I learned from honoring the message of “not yet”. Finding the right people to connect with is a beautiful space to be in, and this is the space I found myself in at a recent retreat. The environment brought out a collaborative energy and an exchange of ideas that lifted everyone up—even those of us who were working towards different goals.
At this retreat, I was determined to start shaping my messaging for a book I’m writing about divorce and marriage, which I hope will promote healing in others. The idea to write a book on this subject came several years ago when my husband and I got remarried and a friend of mine, who happens to be an author, suggested I write about it.
The process of getting remarried to my husband wasn’t seamless. When he first approached me about getting back together, I would ask God weekly for guidance. “Do I remarry this man? Is this a must because he’s the father of my children?” But I kept getting the same message back, which was simply this: “not yet.”
This message turned out to be a blessing. “Not yet” gave me the space I needed to heal. I was continually working on the trauma I’d been through with our divorce, having a baby while single, and the heartache I endured. I also needed to process the good things that came out of it, including the resilience I found in myself.
Eventually, the answer came at me loud and clear. I realized I would always have a deep, infinite love for him, and I’m thankful we were able to have a second chance. Now, I see how “not yet” has played out in writing this book. By waiting, I was able to grow and learn. Now, I can write the book from a place of healing rather than pain.

I am welcoming Hollie Warnick in this episode to talk about empowerment and the power of saying yes.
Hollie is a behavioral kinesiologist, author, healer, and mother. She creates art, coursework, journals, and more for wellness and enjoyment. Hollie is also the host of the “Hollie Would” podcast where she takes listeners on a playful, spiritual journey each episode while encouraging others to be authentic and show up in life as they truly are.
Growing up, Hollie experienced hardships that shaped the person she’s become today. Her mother was diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder (DID). Watching her mother struggle led her to experience the world through another person’s eyes. She ended up going to a specific type of therapy that took her out of victim mode and into feeling empowered, which is the therapy she practices today: behavioral kinesiology.
Last year, Hollie started saying yes more. In the past, saying no felt safer. She realized she could create the time and space to allow creations to be brought out through her. Hollie is willing to say yes to all things in the creative realm, which led her to writing, podcasting, and more.
In motherhood and in life, it takes a lot of energy to try and maintain control. The truth is that as much as you try, you can’t control everything. If Hollie can share one message today, it’s encouragement to say yes more. You never know what’s going to come from saying yes.

Today on the podcast, I want to talk about perception versus reality. What you think and what is true aren’t always the same thing, and unlearning your perceptions of yourself that are untrue can help you to let go of what holds you back.
For most of my life, I have tried to live inside a box of black and white. But, in recent months, I’ve started to see that things are greyer. God is not necessarily black and white, and experiencing Him in this way, without putting parameters on Him and understanding that He doesn’t see me in plain black and white, has been truly eye-opening. Recently, we went to the NFR and I just wasn’t feeling good. We were sat close to the arena next to the ropers box and became friendly with a couple sitting near us. We talked about our experiences and my love of rodeo, and the guy asked if we had ever been to the Houston Rodeo. He invited us to go and stay with them and experience it. I was hesitant. We didn’t know these people, but Aaron and I decided to go and experience something new. Going and meeting new people and getting outside of myself was an interesting experience. Hearing our friends’ perception of me when he introduced me to others made my “oh but” alarm go off. My perception of myself was that I am not enough. It opened my eyes to how I give excuses about perceptions and compliments about myself. It is all tied to perfectionism and how I feel that if it isn’t perfect, it isn’t good enough. In truth, beauty is in the practice. God knows you aren’t perfect but He still holds you in His love. Join me on Instagram: @perfectlyimperfectranda
I want to talk about the Divine Cup of Miracles and how to keep your own cup full on today’s show.
Firstly, I want to share my collaboration with others to create a book. We have created a book about collaborating with the divine, and it was released, February 22, 2022. A portion of the proceeds will be going towards the Centers for Hope, which are will create a place for people to recover from suicidal ideations. You can find this book on Amazon with the link below. https://read.amazon.com/kp/embed?asin=B09T2PJ5L5&preview=newtab&linkCode=kpe&ref_=cm_sw_r_kb_dp_FBPDKMVJ0G490FZM2NSK
A few Sundays ago, as I sat in church during the Sacrament, I came to a realization as the tray of symbolic water was presented to me. The cup closest to me was completely empty, but there were at least 30 other cups that weren’t. Those 30 cups represent God’s love and gifts. They are abundant, and even if you feel that you are an empty cup, there is more out there for you to receive.
Even if you are unable to receive God’s blessings all at once, if you partake a little at a time and learn how to use it, that is how we can receive His love. Growing up, I put constraints on His power and love. I perceived His gifts through the lens of what I can accept. Now, I see and feel that His gifts and love are infinite.
The rains can pour down at any time to fill your cup. When we fill our cup with possibility and collaborate with God and the Heavenly Mother, our cup can overflow, but we can share it with others. There is no set limit on God’s love. Ask Him what He wants you to receive.

When you think you can’t try anymore, just push through once more.
When I was little, I lived in a small town in Arizona. My parents were working and going to school. I was lucky to be looked after by other relatives when they were away. Once when my Grandma Stratton was watching me, there was an animal caught in a trap around the side of the house.
She told me to go into the house because she knew she was going to have to put the creature out of its misery. I waited for a second, then followed her and watched as her first attempt failed. Without hesitating, I said, “hit it again Grandma, you can do it.” She told me this story so many times. She passed away in 2015 and I miss hearing her recount this story, her jokes, her poems, and her wisdom!
As I have been writing my book, I was reminded of this story, and I thought that it was such a wonderful message. We might not hit it out of the park, we might fall down, but if we get up again and again and keep trying, we will get there.
You will not know unless you try. Keep going, just try one more time. Overcoming the doubt and striding headfirst towards your goal is what moves you closer to it. Reach out for help, we all have different voices and angels pushing us through, we just have to listen to them.

In today’s episode, I am joined by my father Mike Stratton DSc, PT, ATC, MA. He is also the owner of Stratton Sports Medicine.
It seems that there are many divisions in our Nations/World right now. How can we stand up, see that we can have a disagreement and not be disagreeable, and be unified as communities?
My dad and I explore this question and a few others in this episode. I hope that as we have witnessed the attack on Ukraine this week. We can ask ourselves these very questions. Find ways to be more unified. See that we have more in common than we know and truly love our neighbors as ourselves.
My dad is one of the greatest friends of my life. He has helped make me who I am today and has been there for me through everything. He has a doctorate in sports, science, and physical therapy and a master’s in athletic training and biomechanics. He has traveled and trained with many celebrities and Olympic athletes.
He grew up in a family of eleven siblings and learned how to put his best foot forward in every way. From the age of 5, he was riding a Shetland pony called Henry and has been in the rodeo world on and off all his life. He took a break for 10 years while going to college. He says there is nothing like a great family, great friends, and great horses.
At 12, Mike got his first job as a paperboy and would ride his Welsh pony Pistol through town delivering the papers, and his work ethic won him a trip to Disneyland. My father and I are now putting on Cowboy Up and Cowgirl Up camps.
The camps are aimed at helping young people to learn confidence, joy, and how to build relationships. Learning to work with and ride a horse is a great confidence builder and at the same time, you are building a relationship with that horse.

Today, I want to talk about a message that has been getting louder and louder as I came closer to recording. The topic is “and vs or,” and why you don’t have to subscribe to the belief that you have to make choices and be only one thing. As I have been doing my own healing work through my faith and my groups of other strong, creative women, I have come to realize how much I was allowing myself to be limited.
I was raised as a singer and performer. My dad always encouraged me to perform and be outside of myself. I was part of the choir and a singing and dancing group that performed all over the country, and because my name was Randa Stratton, people always told me I would be a country star. Deep down, I always thought that I could never be that.
In the last year, I have been unraveling limiting beliefs and the world of either-or. As a member of the LDS faith, I believed I could never be both. I couldn’t be a famous singer and devout. I can’t be a mother and an author. The world of either-or is limiting; we are not linear creations. We need to live in the world of and.
You can be more than one thing at once. Knowing is only part of the battle. Knowing means you can be led to the practice of inclusivity in your life. We all have an individual purpose, but when we work together to create, we are letting divinity work through us to brighten the world.

In today’s episode, I want to talk about taking up space. Everyone deserves to feel valued and that they matter. A few weeks ago, I had a meeting at church discussing sharing messages of God. A lady described it as a football analogy. Everyone on the team has a part to play and makes a difference, even if they don’t think they do. I looked around and saw a woman I had spoken to a few times and whose daughter I had taught in a class.
I had an incredible sense that I should tell her what she means to me. She has 2 incredible children, many health issues, and I wanted to tell her that her strength in the face of the burdens placed upon her was inspiring. When I left the church, I bumped into her and told her what I had been thinking. She was thankful and told me that it meant a lot because she often felt as though she is just taking up space.
It takes each of us to make a difference in the world, even if we can’t outwardly see what that difference is. No one should feel like they are just here to take up space. People just want to be acknowledged and seen. Just saying hello can make a huge difference to someone’s day.
Find time each day to focus outwardly on. Make a difference in their life and share light and good deeds.

Jason Mow is back for the second part of our talk. He is a longtime friend, Army veteran, and ex-police officer. Recently, Jason has written several books, including a biography called Weighed and Measured.
For Jason, the warrior within him is not an alter-ego, it is just who he is. It is all-encompassing in every relationship he has. It’s not about being perfect, it is about giving 100%. Can you return back to God at the end of everything and say with all your heart that you have done more than the minimum?
A true warrior doesn’t fear death. Every obstacle is an opportunity. There is no magic pill to take – you have to embrace the fact that it will be hard. Find a quiet place. Listen to your heartbeat. Understand who you are, and the divine synchronicity you are part of. Shut out the world and truly listen.
There is nowhere else we can run to, so we need to understand our weaknesses to fortify our defenses against Satan. Jason’s autobiography tells his story, how he coped with PTSD, and the forgiveness of himself and others. Jason’s other works are called The War Chapters, a scriptural story of historical fiction surrounding Captain Moroni from the Book of Mormon. Jason wrote these stories to humanize the figures from scripture and make them more relatable to people today.
Darkness is real, and it is something we combat daily. Jason is proof that anything is possible if you give yourself over to God.

I am joined by Jason Mow, a longtime friend, Army veteran, and ex-police officer. Recently, Jason has written several books, including a biography called Weighed and Measured.
When we met, we were both on a broken road. I was a single mother with five kids and Jason was on crutches, barely able to walk. Sometimes life can be very difficult, but through forgiveness and God, you can get through it. For Jason, being a warrior has many different looks to it. A warrior is someone with a sense of purpose and a willingness to conquer any adversity.
After Jason was severely wounded in the police force he hit rock-bottom, losing his home, his wife, and his job. When you get to the point of having nothing left, you have two choices: victory or death. This experience led Jason to deepen his trust in God and create the Warrior Ethos.
Once Jason turned over his life to God and began to heal, people came to him and asked him to speak about his journey. He has spoken at churches and peoples’ homes about how he continued to get up and learn each day. Everyone’s trials are tailor-made for them, and we need to accept that. The road to salvation for others will look different from yours.
We all have to lose to win; you cannot learn without losing first. Your experiences make you better for yourself and others. If you are going through something hard, get right with God. It will look different for everyone but build from that relationship with the Lord.

In today’s episode, the message I want to give you all is that of understanding your own gifts and talents, along with when to ask for help from others.
The month of December has brought so many opportunities. My son made 50 dozen rolls for charity, then we had an order for a further 20 dozen, I was supposed to make several pans of marshmallows, I was hired to sing at a Christmas party, and I had agreed to record a podcast with my friend. I had a minor meltdown, felt overwhelmed, and Aaron asked me what would bring me the most joy out of all those things. The answer was singing, so we looked at what could be taken off my plate.
I tried to delegate the marshmallow making and it didn’t work out, so I had to go to them and just say that I was sorry, but I couldn’t make them. What I learned from this is that I need to stop and ask with everything I do. Is this in my highest and best good?
I have started reading “Who Not How” by Dan Sullivan and Dr. Benjamin Hardy, and it has changed my perspective. Not everyone has the same gifts. We are all unique with unique gifts, and we should seek those that can help us to make ourselves and our endeavors better.
We are meant to be interconnected by using the who, not the how. We are also capable of learning new truths about ourselves and new skills. Look to the light to dispel the darkness and free yourself up to peace and connection with others. Look for the good and you will find it.

In today’s episode, the message I want to give you all is that of forgiveness. Forgiveness of others and yourself.
This coincides perfectly with the digital course I am launching. Initially, I wrote and recorded this course as part of what I hope to be a larger digital course on self-sabotage in the future, but I wanted to bring something to you all sooner and without the overwhelm.
Since an early age, I have been learning about forgiveness. Forgiveness from my parents if I did something wrong, forgiveness from God, and more recently, forgiveness for myself. Through my divorce and eventual reconciliation with Aaron, I learned to forgive him too. What I have learned about forgiveness is that it is not about saying what happened was necessarily okay or that you give permission for someone to do something again. Forgiveness means you let go of the burden. FREEDOM!
Recently I attended a women’s circle being held by the Seeking Sapphire girls. I was excited to go and finally get to know them. We went around the circle and were given an exercise to connect. I thought, “what is it that I really want?” As I thought on this, I realized I have been a people pleaser since I was very little in order to make quick connections.
I realized that I am so tired of pleasing everyone else. I realized that I want to be free. What does that look like? I thought back to when I last felt free and it was letting go of the anger and bitterness of my divorce. It takes time to release all the pain and anger and release those attachments.
How do you access that feeling of freedom? Start with forgiving yourself. Make it a daily practice. Find your own freedom.
In today’s episode, the message I want to give you all is to JUST SHOW UP! Coming off of the Shine Bright Retreat and all the healing we did, the subject of this podcast came to me.
A few weeks ago, a lady at church talked about a time she was asked to teach a class. She didn’t know how she would be able to do it, or where to start. Her leader’s advice to her? “Just show up.” Leading up to the Shine Bright Retreat, I felt the darkness creeping in and was feeling heavy with self-doubt. I was ashamed that I was having these thoughts and making myself feel wrong for feeling those feelings.
I thought to myself, “I am just going to show up and bring my words and my knowledge to help others.” After my family helped me pack up everything, I started the two-and-a-half-hour trip. About an hour and a half into the journey, I hit heavy traffic and a road closure. As I neared the front, I learned that there was a tragic accident and I knew that it would be a long, long delay.
I called my dad and my husband to get directions for a detour. However, just before I made that call, I did have the thought that I should just give up. That I should turn around and hide away, that this was a sign. That moment was brief, and I recognized it for the lie that it was. The extra time on the road allowed me the peace and thinking time to understand that this wasn’t my retreat to teach at – it was the will of God. Just show up and He will lead you where you need to go.
Also, I have launched my Digitial Course "A Course in Forgiveness". You can find the link to this course in my Instagram bio. I am so excited to share it with you that I am offering it for $13.79 for the rest of November. So, grab it for yourself, for your family and friends. I hope you'll take advantage of this offer!

In today’s episode I want to talk to you about the message I received last week surrounding anxiety and being anxious for nothing.
I have struggled with anxiety throughout my life, as I’m sure many of you have. I worry about social situations, whether or not I’m being the best mother, or even the smallest thing about my day’s plan going wrong. While I meditated on this and thought about how anxiety shows up in my life, I realized something: I love to be in control of every aspect of my life and what’s around me.
All the things I am anxious for, I am not handing over to God. I want it my way, on my terms, and that is not how it works. He has a plan and my ways are not His ways. Think about Philippians Chapter 4:6 – “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God..” Think about what experiencing anxiousness looks like for you. You can do things with those that strengthen you in Their way when you rely on and partner with Them.
Control is a distractor. You don’t need to be in control of everything all the time. I tend to be a helicopter mom, but that is not agency. My kids have the divine right to make their own choices. We all have that divine right.
I know this message means to release the fear. I know I’m not going to be perfect in it, but I have seen enough miracles to know that when God wants something to change, it will. The Divine has you in their sights.

This time I am talking about the one-year anniversary of the podcast and reflecting on the support and love that I feel from all of you.
13 is a lucky number for me. Today’s episode is number 13, I was born on the thirteenth and so was my husband, Aaron. It’s only fitting that the one-year anniversary of the podcast falls on the thirteenth episode.
I have just returned from a weekend retreat with my coach and several other wonderful women. The healing and vibrancy I felt there was very powerful. Just creating and being in that energy is incredible. It has refreshed my spirit and given me new ideas for the upcoming Shine Bright Retreat in November. If you feel like you need this kind of refresh, if it calls to you, please click the link below to find out more about the retreat and if it is right for you. The Shine Bright Coaching program is also launching a few days after the retreat. There are so many exiting things on the horizon.
Coming back from the retreat, I didn’t want to let go of the spiritual high I had experienced. I was holding so tight to the feeling that I couldn’t see how to come back to this plane. Together, Aaron and I discussed my need for a transition period when I come home, so I can be creative but also acclimate myself back to everyday life.
Once I had this realization, I had another. When the light is dimmed, we must be willing to step into the dark, turn on the lights, and see what we need to work on. No matter what is in the dark, God still loves you. You are never alone.

In today’s episode, I am once again joined by my husband Aaron. We discuss the differences between infidelity and adultery, including how to rebuild and heal from them.
Infidelity is lying or omitting something, and results in a loss of loyalty and trust. Adultery is the act of cheating on your spouse. Thinking on it, I realized I don’t have fidelity with Aaron regarding finances, so Aaron talks to us about why he needed to control finances closely.
We are always taking things on and facing trials. It is important to do your work whether it is with a therapist, counsellor, coach, or God. There has to be fidelity in a relationship and it is crucial to communicate. Don’t let things fester – have the conversations and make sure you have a safe space to do so. Realize that you cannot fix the other person, all you can do is love them and work on yourself.
Adultery tends to come from infidelity. Adultery is the symptom and not the root cause. Aaron discusses how our past relationship shows this, and how we worked through it when we got back together. We both had emotional affairs, and I couldn’t communicate or hear him when he tried to talk to me about our problems. It almost always takes two to tango.
We all change and develop over time, and that can be a cause of discomfort. It’s about creating a safe and secure space for your partner and yourself. If you are both willing to work through it, you can get through anything.

Let’s talk about what my highest and best good is, what it means, and how it changes depending on where you are.
Life is not simple. We all experience trials and hardships that are made for us to help us grow. The suffering from those trials is what is optional. It is okay to be sad or grieve, but what you don’t need is to focus on other peoples’ part in your trials and to wallow in sadness. Find forgiveness in your situation and find someone to work through it with.
I am an empathic person and I have to be careful about what I intake. The news about Afghanistan, worrying if my son is going to be deployed, politics, all of it weighs heavily on me. I even have to be careful what movies and books I take in because I feel everything so much.
These feelings came to a head when I was staying at my dad’s place in Arizona. They have had so much rain that the pasture the horses are in was waterlogged and one of the horses had a hoof that didn’t look great. I decided to put them in the stalls out of the wetness and filled their water trough. No matter what, Rosie didn’t want to drink. She wanted the water out in the pasture.
I realized that God was saying to me “I still have water for you.” I wasn’t willing to let go of my suffering and go in a new direction. It is not in my highest, best good to ignore what God is telling me. I urge you all to look at your life and your day-to-day choices in the same way. Ask yourself “is this serving my highest good?”

Welcome back my husband Aaron. We describe the art of self-sabotage as this: the sum of actions and habits formed to protect, and therefore shut down, from that which would propel you forward into growth. I’ve been thinking about this a lot, because earlier this year I was in a really dark place. My husband joins me in this episode to contribute to the discussion.
Sabotage really is an art form. I’ve called it out, and I’m aware of it now. This gives me choice. Getting it out really is the first step.
My husband and I have had our share of sabotage moments in our relationship. It was definitely more a part of being young and figuring it all out. Now we’re in our 40s and we still see it in other people, and it often comes down to a difficulty with communication. For whatever reason there are things we don’t say, but it’s not always a conscious decision.
Sabotage can come in many forms, such as busy work, procrastination, or letting other people control your emotions. It’s easy to play the victim and let these things destroy what you want or need that day. The end result of sabotage is always regret, and it perpetuates a focus on the past.
Sabotage doesn’t always come in the form of negative things, either. Sometimes it’s a good thing, but given too much of it is what turns it into sabotage. Take going to the gym for example. It’s a perfectly healthy activity, but if you become addicted to working out and you start spending endless hours in the gym, it becomes an unhealthy form of sabotage.
At the end of the day, we always have a say on what the saboteur is or isn’t. We can always choose whether we listen to it or not.

In Christianity, God created everything spiritually first and then physically. What does that mean? How do we spiritually create something? It’s through thought, but God also uses words. That’s how the world was created.
Have you ever considered how you were created? I believe He created us in His image, and we’re here to be like Him. To learn, grow, experience, fail, get back up, and try again. Just as the earth, we’ve also been created by God using words.
With that, take a second and think about how powerful words can be. Words created the earth. They created you and me. What are you creating with your words? Think about the words you say to yourself on a daily basis. What are you saying to yourself?
I’ve experienced so many examples in my own life where words have proven to be powerful. When I say words that aren’t in my best interest and I dwell on them, I do something I call journal and burn. I scribble it down to get it all out of my brain and onto the paper. Later on, I burn the journal entry.
When your thoughts are rooted in light, your energy and future will follow. What is it in your future that you want to have that you haven’t realized yet? Remember that all things are created spiritually first, so pay attention to your thinking.
Our thoughts can actually change our DNA. I feel it in my core that prayer can transcend space and time. I’m ending this episode with the chorus of my song “Let Your Light Shine”. With that, sending you lots of light and love.

In today’s episode, I want to talk about how depletion invites the darkness, how to fight it, and how to bring in the light.
When I spoke to my coach Keira earlier this week about all the great things happening in my life recently, we talked about how I still felt exhausted and low. She told me “depletion invites the darkness.” I had heard this before. It reminded me of taking our kids to the USS Midway Museum and seeing a sign that said “if you take care of the ship, she will take care of you.”
I realized I was not taking care of my house, my body, or my spirit. If I am exhausted, I can’t do all that God is inviting me to do. At the time, I taught my kids about the value of chores and how it can help us all. Now, in the present, I’ve been working on music, moving house, rodeo, and one of my girls had a birthday. While all these things are nourishing, I was exhausted and still am.
I was given this podcast about depletion to record last week, and I didn’t. I didn’t give it away, so it stayed with me and weighed me down. When you make a promise to yourself and don’t keep it, it becomes dead weight.
My surface way of being is to just do. I have not been listening to my creation and taking on more and more instead of sending this message out. If you are feeling depleted, look at what you have been ignoring, acknowledge it, and either reschedule it or consciously shelf it if it isn’t in your heart right now.
Celebrate the effort, not the results. All God asks of us is that we try.

In today’s episode, I want to talk about some things I have touched on in past episodes as well as some new messages.
When my son was at boot camp, I wanted to give him strength to continue to go through his training. I sent him a verse from the Book of 2 Kings 6: “FEAR NOT: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.”
The story of Elisha resonates so much right now. There is so much chaos and fear that reaching across is just going to give you more of the same. You need to reach up to change your perspective. Everything is meant to be, but you need to plan peace into your life; make it purposeful. Look for what is missing and what is stopping you from feeling it. In my life, I have only known peace to come from divinity, and it isn’t always the easy path.
I use a method with these principles: stop and be still, breathe in, light up. This means practice stillness, look for the light, and ask it to enter into your presence. Ask what to do with the information that has sent you spinning, and you’ll receive one of three answers. Either do nothing, think on it, and come back or act on it. When we follow God’s direction, He gives us more. Personally, if I procrastinate on it, I begin to stagnate and feel worse and worse.
I want to remind you that comparison is the thief of joy. If it doesn’t empower you to do better and do good in the world around you, it is a comparison that doesn’t serve you. Shift your perspective to know that God has a plan for you and it is all in His plan.

I have learned that when you lean into your purpose, despite doubts and imperfections, that purpose gives you passion. It gives you excitement and makes you feel alive. There is peace in purpose. You can know that you are aligned with God and His purpose for you. It isn’t always a comfortable place, but there is peace in it.
If you are struggling, I urge you to get the darkness out. Whether it’s on paper or talking to someone you can rely on. If you keep it in, it will consume you. Until you speak it, it will continue to have power over you. We are not made to be powerless. We are meant to shine.

In today’s episode, I’m continuing my discussion about rebuilding our relationship with my husband Aaron Dutcher. Our main focus is about shifting perspectives, looking for positives, and embracing the God-given gift of agency.
Whenever you tell people that you got divorced, or that you got married again, the focus is always on the negative. Both of these things are seen as failures when they should be seen as positives. The tendency to focus on the negative should be shifted. Come from a place of love and abundance, and look at where you are, knowing it is where you are meant to be.
The same thing is often said of getting married young. The simple fact is, it has no positive or negative, it just is. Look at things as just simple truths. Wedding vows are for better or worse, there are no exceptions.
No one ever said it would be easy, nor should it be. The question is, can it be overcome? What do you choose? There is a phrase, ’choose your love and love your choice.’ That reminds us that choice is one of the greatest spiritual gifts you can receive. Remember that God has granted us agency.
It takes work on both sides to rebuild. It is a process, and you must continue to choose the choices you have made. It is a commitment and it isn’t always going to be sunshine and rainbows, but it can help you build a solid foundation.
Learn to be comfortable with yourself and honor the choices of others. Differences don’t divide you and fear doesn’t rule you.

In today’s episode, I am joined by my husband Aaron Dutcher. This podcast is partially named for him, so today I wanted to explain what Going Dutch means to me. Aaron speaks about his tips for rebuilding relationships and we both discuss the way in which partnering with God led us back to each other.
For me, Going Dutch has many meanings. To most people, it means going it alone in some way. I tried that. I went it alone in our marriage and I went it alone as a single woman. Now, Going Dutch reminds me that we brought our family back together. When I rely on God, I thrive and I want to be in a partnership with Him. For Aaron, it now means commitment and going in it together.
Aaron and I have been married, divorced, and re-married but have been in each other’s lives since 1995. He is an organized man and that compliments my creative brain. I keep a list called the Aaron Truth List that I refer to, to keep me grounded. He has what he calls the Randa Playbook.
When we rebuilt our relationship, we started from the ground up. Aaron takes us through his 3 tips for rebuilding that he used during that process. A big takeaway is to let go of the victim mentality, the what-ifs that you have been carrying around and begin to understand that you are in your purpose.
It is a long and difficult road to rebuild, but we can tell you from experience that we are grateful for the hardships and the lessons we learned. Without them, we would not have found each other again.

In today’s episode, I want to talk about a topic that is very difficult for me. I’ve been resisting it. I want to tell you about my beautiful friend Julee Brady, other women in my life, and how I realized that comparison was making me the robber of my own happiness.
I have a bad habit of comparing myself to the amazing women in my life. I would think that if I could just have what they have, I would be happy. I can testify to you now that that thinking is wrong. It doesn’t matter if you get what others have, that is not the path to happiness.
When I was reunited with my high school friend in 2013, she invited me to join a group called The Cowgirls Historical Foundation. A group of accomplished, confident, and happy cowgirls. For a long time, the comparison part of me kept me away and told me I wasn’t good enough. Being a part of that group was life changing for me.
Julee taught me that when you live into your gifts and stop comparing, it doesn’t matter what anyone else does. You are doing what you are meant to do.
Julee passed away a couple of months ago from cancer. She taught me so much and I think of her often and know she is an unseen angel.
Remember that we aren’t meant to be perfect, but we are perfected in Christ as we take a part of Him and work in His name. We are meant to work together to share our gifts, not to compare ourselves to others. God has a plan for each of us - we just have to listen.

In today’s episode, I have been called to share a message of power and strength with you. A message that will help you re-connect with your divine purpose and find your spiritual gifts. These gifts aren’t wrapped, they aren’t tangible, and they can’t be bought. These gifts are already yours, divinely appointed by God.
Let me tell you how I came to find my spiritual gifts. I had a wonderful childhood, filled with family. My parents married young and divorced when I was 5. I lived with my mom and her parents as she went back to school. There were struggles, but there was gratitude. I was nurtured and cared for, and I learned to look to God for answers and guidance.
In 2012, I was married with 4 children and we found out our fifth was on the way. The stress of the situation led to our separation and eventual divorce. While we eventually reconciled and re-married, at the time I experienced grief. I experienced pain for what was lost and my situation. I turned to God, who had helped me through so much as a child. He wanted my whole heart and in return he showed me my gifts.
I have been blessed with the ability to see Angels. It is not a physical sight, but emotional and spiritual. Knowing I’m not alone helped me through my struggles and I cherish those miracle moments.
I believe our experience on this Earth is all part of His plan. Learning and using your spiritual gifts to help others and yourself is His will. This will keep you in remembrance of Him and lead to your return to His presence.

In today’s episode, I want to share messages from my heart, given to me from God. I want to talk about how to overcome your struggles and help you understand that you are not alone. When you open yourself up to receive a hand up from God, you are open to do anything without fear.
In 2012, as a single mom of 5 kids, I was so scared of being alone. Even though there is so much support for single mothers, I felt unsupported. I would pray every night for help to get me through the next day. It was through prayer and my experiences that I learned to reach up, not across.
I opened a bakery out of my home and sold cattle out of my backyard. Through this, I learned confidence. This process taught me to look to God, look to your family, friends and peers and ask for their advice.
I want to share with you my 4 steps to help reduce struggle. Try it for 3 days, first thing in the morning and last thing at night. I call this method L.O.V.E.
Look to God.
Open your eyes and heart.
Verify truth.
Enjoy the ride.
A miracle is a shift in perspective. Look to God and know that you can relate to Him. Be brave, open your eyes and heart to Him, and know that he will show you the way up. Look for the truth of the situation. The truth is what happened, not your feelings. Finally, strap in and enjoy the ride. Thank God for your blessings and for where you are. Know that wherever you are is where you are meant to be. Know that you will be greater for what you are going through.
