Heidi Holtorf, PhD, MDvis an Anatomic and Clinical Pathology with a Special Interest: Cytopathology. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University in 1999 and then her Doctor of Philosophy in Bioengineering from Rice University in 2005. After working as a research scientist at the NASA Johnson Space Center for several years and also teaching math and science, she went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Iowa in 2014. Returning to Houston, she completed her anatomical and clinical pathology residency (2018) and cytopathology fellowship (2019) at Houston Methodist Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident from 2016-2017. Dr. Holtorf is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pathology, Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
